As you continued to squirm, the slime'd hold weakened, and you used that moment to pull yourself out of it.

"Ewww this is going to take a really, really long time to clean off!" Markus exclaimed looking at his warping chain shirt.

Markus takes a 5ft step back then places the crystal on the rapier.

The slime, seeing you escape from him, leapt on you again. As it came flying towards you, you saw an opportunity to attack.

As it pulled you in, you felt the stinging burn as the acid from the slime melted the chainshirt even further. At that point, it wasn't really a chainshirt anymore either. It was just one melted mass.

You missed your first attack, but as you expected, the slime overshot his attempt to grapple and landed only a few feet away. With both of your weapons out, you quickly stepped forward attacking with both blades. You thrust with your rapier and once that connected, you swung your sword.

The simultaneous attack made the slime splatter, and it was just about to turn into a puddle of green liquid when a flash of light took it away from the arena.

You found yourself bruised, with burn scars across your body, your chain shirt was literally gone, with only a few bits of the metal still hanging closer to your neck, forming a make-shift necklace, if it can be called one. Your clothing was ripped and melted in various places as well.

But at the very least the crowd enjoyed the fight, with some of them cheering. Not a lot of adventurers made it past the fight against the ooze, and they were waiting in anticipation if Markus from the Guild of Galas'nor would take the next round.

Let me know if you want to go to next round, and also state all your preparations that might be different than what your character sheet marks as default. Eg, abilities for use, healing potions bought, spells prepared and available, manuevers readied and available, etc. Spells or abilities that have at least a 1+ hour duration can be pre-cast. Feel free to use consumables in this downtime phase of an hour. Please verify the status log below before we start.

Oh yeah, quick note Tier 4 and onwards will have rewards differently. I actually messed up on Tiers 1-3, was giving out more gold than expected.

Knowing that there were still more, tougher enemies to face, Markus reached for his healing belt. Realizing that he should not activate all of its power at once, he uses one of its daily charges to recover what he could.

An hour later the arena was cleared and the new challengers placed into combat. You didn't know what to expect, though you knew the fight was to be harder. Soon enough the next opponent was unveiled and before you stood a serpentine creature, like a wingless dragon, but had five heads attached to the body. It towered to maybe 24 ft. in height. Though even that was an estimation as the way the heads moved around and the necks coiled, that it made it difficult to get a good measure. Unlike the other previous rounds however, there was a sizeable crowd to this one. Most of the would-be adventurers had to stop at the fight before, and from here on out were perhaps the toughest the event organizers could get together.
