... and hit a poor soul watching in the crowds.

The creature meanwhile managed to close the gap.

When the hydra neared, you dropped your crossbow as you pulled your weapons. Using the movement of your draw, you swung out at the creature. The attack hit, but immediately you had to slow your attacks as the creature struck out with all five of its heads. Two managed to get through your defenses, but you at least managed to avoid the other three.

The two blows you received hurt, but using your weapon, you manage to hit the large beast again with your rapier. But it wasn't over just yet, and the hydra's head roared from the blow. In response the five heads attacked. You had enough wits about you to dodge the first blow, but it wasn't enough as one of the heads came biting at your exposed back. Shaking it off, you dodged out of the way from the next attack, but you weren't prepared for the finals two that managed to hit.

The two last blows made your movements slow, and your attack missed completely. However, as the hydra reared up its heads again and as they struck, you managed to both dodge and parry the incoming heads. Except one, and you knew you would be hit...
