Melody eyed the wounds on the half-orc, determining that it was indeed more than what her spell managed to heal.

"I have some healer's tools already." Melody explained, motioning towards the backpack she had on her. "It's part of my training back at church." She thought for a moment as her eyes sparkled a moment later.

"Mister Riven, maybe I can tell you all about Miss Dawnflower when I treat you later?" She glanced at the others too in case anyone else was injured after her first spell.

"That goes for everyone!"

"I would feel wrong to deny you your happiness while relying on your hospitality." Riven chuckled.

"So long as your skills don't depend on my conversion i'm more than happy to listen while you waggle your tongue. I say we step further out of everyone's way, find a place to sit and heal up properly. Sound good to everyone?"

Asta

"Preach away." Spira said, waving a hand. "I'll still need to leave some things in storage when you are finished however."

Once the group was situated, the next hour Melody spent it tending to everyone, including herself. As she cleaned, bandaged, and applied ointments on everyone, moving methodically but slowly, she kept her storytelling just to the deeds of Sarenrae back when the goddess traveled the world. Sarenrae promoted peace, temperance, patience, compassion, but most of all; redemption.

It was these stories that capture the priestess' heart during her tutelage and training as a cleric, and it was these stories that Melody focused on retelling. Stories of redemption from the goddess' own hands, or even those from her followers and other great clerics from a by-gone era. It was plain to see that Melody was excited in her retelling, building up to the climaxes of each of her stories, and hitting each of the main points or the parables she described.

"That's why I follow her." Melody said. "She heals and redeems anyone; it's a compassion that I want to follow."

Medicine checks for each member of the group.

"You are... Very passionate about your god." Spira said, half listening to the little cleric rattle off scripture and parable and half deciding what kind of explosive device would best be used to kill whatever horrors were surely waiting at the fort. When her turn to be treated was over, she stood up and brushed the dirt from her clothes. "Thank you for your ministrations and ministering, I will meet the three of you at the guardhouse once I have taken care of this." She patted her overstuffed bag, she had prepared perhaps a little too much and had come to realization that there was little room left for anything they might find while exploring.

Spira is going to head over to whatever inn she was staying at, and drop off some things she doesn't need. Afterwards she will head to the guardhouse to meet the others.

Riven decided it was better to just sit silently for the time being and just let her talk. He knew from dealing with the masters back home how to remain silent while still seeming engaged. The stories in his mind were largely fluff, but he did put weight in Melody's enthusiasm. He could tell by the way here eyes lit up as she talked and the way she took methodical care in bandaging them all that she had a passion for what she was doing. It was like watching some of the old hand gladiators sharing battle stories with the younger generation. Even if he didn't see eye to eye with the priestess he would at least listen well to repay for her efforts.

"Thanks for the good work, I don't think anyone has patched me up this well before! You also told your stories very well,"
Riven said with a big tusky grin as he stood after he was finished.

"I'm gonna see what information I can gather about this keep before we meet at the guardhouse. I'll see you two there," he said breaking away from the two halflings.

Asking around town you are able to learn that the Hellknight fort is more properly known as Citadel Altarerein and was home to the Hellknight Order of the Nail before they relocated west to Varisia almost two decades ago. They left a few caretakers but even these abandoned the keep eventually and it has been left completely uncared for in the intervening nine years or so. After a few years of adventurers and looters going through the citadel in search of treasure and the fabled deed to the keep, which is said would grant the finder full ownership of Citadel Altarerein and the land it was built on, the keep was left to the elements.
While it is widely known that the keep is inhabited by monsters, no one has recently visited the fort to know what specific monsters inhabit the fort besides the Bumblebrasher goblins who are non-threatening to the locals and as such left to their own devices.

With that information in mind Riven goes about searching for a second hand shop where these former adventures may have sold their gear upon failing or that the goblins sold upon finding their corpses.

i'm look for a survey map of the keep if I can get one but i'd Also be interested in any unique finds

You are unable to find any leads on a map or any other items associated with Citadel Altarerein.

Coming up empty Riven finds the lack of actual goods from the keep interesting, takes note of it and goes to the guardhouse to meet the others.
