Looking around the current room, you see nothing that can be used to hide. There is an alcove in the room, and further in you see what looked like some sort of statues. Though you are unsure if such a place could indeed keep the group hidden for an extended amount of time.

Linwelin

Hmm...that could work...no, it'll have to do, we don't have time.

"There's a decent alcove over there." Uthaal points toward it. "It'll probably work for the amount of time we need."

QuoteNo idea! I guess I can go on ahead and get everyone to start resting in the alcove. I'll do that sometime later this week or the weekends. Then email or get in touch with everyone and see if everyone's still willing to keep chugging along!

QuoteThe old laptop I used to use died on me, and I pretty much lost all the files pertaining to The Silver Arms, The world of Elodria, and my D&D reference books. Anyone by chance happen to have the Gods information somewhere? Or if there's any way Hasabushi can re-setup the Old Forums somewhere?

Changing the rules a teeny bit to be able to naturally heal without having a full 8 hours of rest. Just a percentage of the regular amount.

Please decide amongst yourselves how long you want to rest. If no time is given, I'll let the party rest until everyone is fully healed, but be warned, the longer the party rests the higher the chance that they'll run into hostiles. I'll do rolling every 4 or 8 hours of sleep (I'll decide when I find my rule books). Also Uthaal, or anyone else who selects spells daily, I want you to select them.

As the group huddles into the alcove, they are greeted by three worn-out and crumbling statues. It was hard to fully distinguish who they were supposed to represent, but  It was easy enough to tell that they were gods or goddesses of some sort. You wondered if they were a pantheon that you recognize, or if they were a trio of gods long lost in history. You played with the idea of asking the orcs and cultists, but laughed at the notion. The statues were in disrepair. Parts of the head and arms have all but crumbled away, leaving only a smoothed out section where the missing body parts used to be. That didn't surprise you. Since these caverns were deep in a swamp, the moisture in the air had probably done its number on the objects.

Peering closely at the statues, it looked like that each of the three had once held something in their hands, but whatever it was, it was long gone, probably taken by past raiders.

The wounds on everyone in the party ranged from light to more grievous, and it was then decided that Ardeth and Arian, being the least injured of the group, be the one to stand guard, as the rest of the party get some rest.

It was quiet as they group drifted into rest, save for the pitter-patter of droplets splashing on the cold and hard cavern floor.

Tebastion stumbled, his body tired and worn, he barely made it to one side of a small alcove they had found hidden in the recesses of the cave. The  paladin simply thanked whatever deities had given them this opportunity and promptly took advantage of, he closed his eyes and let sleep overtake him as he entered the land of dreams. His last thoughts of...

Haru was very aware of the wounds he had sustained. Each member of their band had been injured to various degrees. He attempted to sort through who needed rest more than the other. But his vision blurred and before he could stop himself, Haru collapsed falling into a fitful rest.

Talmite looks over his friends and sees that all have serious injuries being aware that he is well injured himself he finds a spot near the wall in the alcove and slowly sits down. Leaning against the wall he quickly drifts off into a deep sleep.

Talmite dreams of his training before he came to be a member of the Silver Arms. He recalls some of the tough times he went through and the many injuries he sustained, though none as sever as his and his friends by him now. Even so he will do whatever is necessary to keep pushing on after all this is a lifestyle he knew would be far from easy.

He knows that Ardeth and Arian need thei rest as well, so he decides after a period of full rest he will stand guard with Tebation

Uthaal, weary from fighting and healing, plops down on the ground with his back against the alcove wall, taking first watch. He lays his hand on Din, who's coiled up next to him and hissing nearly inaudibly.

The resting was quiet, if not strained. Every so often a rush of footsteps or yelling would be heard. Sounds of alarm, or perhaps general yelling; it was hard to tell as the noises seemed muffled. The one who would be awake watching out for the rest of the group would usually tense at these times, but eventually the sounds would die away. Disappearing ever so slowly as the sounds became quieter and quieter until finally nothing else was heard save for the breathing of those in the alcove.

Uthaal, Ardeth, Tebastion, and Arian took their turns watching, letting their more injured companions fall deeper and longer into their slumber. Uthaal meditated as he prepared his spells, likewise the others had done theirs; muttering a quick prayer, sharpening a weapon, or anything else that would help in the upcoming fights. They needed their strength, each of them knew, after all, who knew what was to be found amongst all the cultists?

They wondered what became of the fates of Liana and the other Silver Arms that were stationed at Darkroot before them. Were they too late? Was resting the best course of action?

But yet the meanderings were just those, and as the hours went by, the companions taking their turns at watch, slowly but surely they knew they would be ready again for whatever comes. It was at this time that each of them felt a slight tingling, or more specifically, a sensation. They didn't realize it at the time, the feeling was after all quaint and almost indistinguishable, but some sort of strength with calmness washed over them.

It was Tebastion who had first noticed it during his watch. Though he didn't mention it to anyone at the time, after all, they needed their rest, he realized that the three statues before him must have some effect on the alcove. True they were run-down, yet the divine aspect of them still lingered even after the centuries of disrepair. Whatever gods those three were, they were of goodly nature.

QuoteI am assuming that those who can level up already did level up (to calculate how much healing you get). Another reminder to level up your character if you haven't already! You can choose how to wake up, or any other morning rituals, or if you eat rations, or etc. Likewise, you can post on moving along/skill checks if you so desire.

I'd like to point out that Uthaal, Arian, and Haru all have 0 rations left, so I took the rest from the other party members. To simplify it I'm just deducting rations at the start after each rest.
