A lonely Peddler travels with his accompanying ox,

His wares chiming as they dangled, and shook, and clanged.

He comes upon an unfamiliar town,

With greetings, and welcomes, he was thankful,

For the day had been successful, with many sales he had made.

But alas, he must go, and with hardy goodbyes, he did.
