If we are serious about doing this, we should consider starting a kickstarter campaign. We can raise money that, and get better software possibly (something like that). The game would still be free, but we could still raise money for it. And the concept idea really is interesting.

I'm sure that if we put our heads to it, we can create something like that. And we could hire someone to make tilesets for us and create professional looking graphics if needed (character portraits) if we need to have all that happen.

We wouldn't really need that however, because we will still have the game free to download, so anyone that has a non-commercial licensce on their resources would still let us use it.

Just thought I'd bring this idea to your attention, because I've been thinking about doing this for a project of mine, down the line possibly.
