     You burst into the room to find a man clad in matte black armor wielding a greatsword as he cuts through some fiendish creature.  It bleeds crimson flames rather than blood as it dies but appears to have been one of several similar creatures.  They chitter and hiss in some fiendish tongue  as they descend from the rafters.  "Great, more of them."  Sighs the fighter as he swings his sword at the nearest of the still living creatures, trying to clip in in the leg, and manages to slice a good wound into the creature's leg and knocking it to the ground.  With a grunt he then sweeps the blade around his side and over his head to bring it down onto the creature, cutting it clean in half.

Targets have the Flat-Footed condition vs anyone that used stealth and was before them in the first round of combat.

"Mister... are you friendly?" Melody called out as she moved into the room behind mister Riven, keeping her eyes on both the black-armored man, and the creatures. She had narrowed eyes though, for even as she asked if the man was friendly, the dark black armor certainly didn't look heroic or friendly at all.

     The creatures are Imps, some of the weaker devils of Hell but deadly in large numbers or against the ill prepared.  They have a myriad number of magical abilities and are more often known to employ subterfuge, cunning, and unwitting mortals in combat rather than brute force.

"How unpleasant." Spira muttered, striding quickly through the door. Dropping the torch she held in her left hand, she plucked a small purple vial from her bandolier then hurled it at the imp farthest away from the man in black armor.

     The imp screeches in pain as the flask explodes in a crackle of electric bolts arcing throughout the splash zone.

Seeing these unnatural creatures and feeling a strange warmth against his spine from the guidance Riven moves to block off the second imp with a snarl, "Looks like this place has a serious pest problem!"

Move up to imp two go into a rage and attack once

     Despite having the drop on the imp that was focused on the armor clad fighter, they are able to dodge out of your jaws with a flap of their wings.

Oath

Belsarus moves into the room stepping over the body of one of the fallen creatures. He gets into position and swings in quick succession.

Move 25 feet, attack creature 3 twice.

     The imp ducks under Belsarus's blade with a snicker before striking back with its barbed tail. The stinger pierces the rogue's armor and the imp gives Belsarus a fiendish grin before promptly disappearing into a flash of smoke.

Imp 3 attacks Belsarus and deals 3 Piercing damage and 3 Evil damage.

Imp 3 disappears

     The other imp lashes at Riven with their own stinger, landing a hit as well. Then, the imp beings to change, its arms, legs, and wings elongate and stretch as another set of pointed limbs grows from its torso. It's leathery hide turns to chitin and its eyes split into additional black orbs as the fiend becomes a giant spider.  In its new form, the devil lunges at Riven with its newfound fangs and sinks them into the half-orc's shoulder.

Imp 2 attacks Riven and deals 1 Piercing damage and 2 Evil damage.

Riven to take Fortitude save

Imp 2 transforms into Giant Spider.

Imp 2 attacks Riven and deals 5 Piercing damage and 3 Poison damage
