"This is going well." Spira said, watching Riven flatline and then revive with the help of Melody's magic. She pulled an empty vial from a bag at her hip, filled it with water, and emptied the contents of another smaller container into the water. A few vigorous shakes of the vial later, she handed it to Belsarus. "Drink. It will help with the poison, and the pain. Probably."

Returning to free form exploration.

"Nasty things, Imps. Next time I suggest you wear something a little more protective."  Remarked the fighter with a tap of his gauntlet to the plate armor arm guard on his other arm.  He had continued to work on disrupting the circle but appears to have completed the task to his own satisfaction and turned back to you all.  Getting a better look at him, you find him to be tall, dark skinned and clad head to toe in black painted full-plate armor. A jagged red pentagram is molded into one of his pauldrons: the symbol of Asmodeus, the most commonly openly worshiped deity in Cheliax and the more populated regions of its tributary states such as Isger.  "Anyways, I take it from the fact you came to my aid that you're not another band of looters here to pick over these illustrious halls."  He stated with a sweep of his hands to the thick cobwebs, burnt out candles, and chunks of wax kicked over in the fight. "So what brings you here?"

Asta

"Working" Spira replied, studying the man and trying to see if she remembered anything about worshipers of Asmodeus. "Goblins hired us to investigate the red smoke above the keep. Yourself?"

Common knowledge about Asmodeus
LE
Also known as the Prince of Darkness
Asmodeus is an evil god and the most powerful of the archdevils. He is openly worshiped throughout Cheliax and other tributary states such as Isger and more secretively elsewhere in the Inner Sea region. Where openly worshiped, his temples often provide legal services, for the right price of course. While Breechill falls under the laws and customs of Isger, there is no temple to Asmodeus in the town and the vast majority of its inhabitants stick to worshiping the more traditionally good and neutral deities.

Society: 26
Domains: Evil, Fire, Law, Trickery
Favored weapon: Mace
Asmodeus is typically portrayed as a red skinned horned devil with cloven hooved feet. In ceremonies, his clerics often don horned helms or headresses to emulate their god's features. His sacred text is called the Asmodean Disciplines. His most closely aligned followers try to emulate the god's penchant for negotiating for fun and find no greater way of honoring their deity than striking a deal which on the surface is equitable but in reality is slanted in their favor. Though, the canny bargainer can use this to their advantage as the followers of Asmodeus belive that a deal once struck is as good as law even if they wound up the ones taken advantage of.

Asta

"I'm guessing... Paladin? Am I close?"
