Wolfrin Fenris

Wolfrin chuckled softly. "You wont hide so easily, my friend." Go, he thought as he gestured the signal to Buddy who immediately charged forward, ears back, fangs bared. Wolfrin couldn't help but smile as he followed his friend, just slower. There was no animosity in Buddy's actions. He just loves the hunt!

As Buddy drew near he leaped at the creature's throat.

Buddy lunged for the throat, managed to hit, however he was not able to trip his opponent.

It attempted to use the darkness around him to disappear again, but you manage to easily keep sight of him through the dark bubble around him. He lunged at Buddy, but the wolf was able to see the attack and jump out of the way in time.

Wolfrin Fenris

When the creature swung at Buddy, Wolfrin wasted no more time.  He rushed forward sword in both hands. Just before he reached the creature he jumped,  bringing the sword in front of him to put all his momentum behind the charge.

Resolved the issue. I'm going to assume Wolfrin's attack missed.

Wolfrin could see the creature. He knew he could. And yet, he missed. by the smallest margin, but his blade sliced through nothing but air, and he stumbled to a stop slightly off balance. Buddy leapt into the fray once more, jaws snapping.

Though you missed, Buddy fared much better as your companion leapt on him, biting down, as well as managing to throw the enemy down to the arena floor. He was knocked prone, and you see him moving as if to stand back up again...

Wolfrin Fenris

The opponent was down. Wolfrin swung to finish the creature.... And missed. How in the Hells did I miss?!

The creature didn't even try to dodge! Wolfrin completed the maneuver, sheathing Wolf's Fang at the end. Then Buddy went to bite the creatures arm, but his snapping jaws caught nothing but air as the creature pushed up,  finally righting itself.

Wolfrin growled deep in his throat. This was rediculous. He could see the creature fairly well,  but something was still deceiving his eyes.  I keep aiming for him, perhaps I should aim a foot to the left, he thought sarcastically.

He took a deep calming breath. Anger could be a useful tool but this was anger at his own inability to hit the creature. This anger could only hinder him,  and so he forced himself to quench the anger and focus once more.

Wolfrin bent his knees,  hand on the hilt of Wolf's Fang and drew,  bringing the blade across in a powerful horizontal slash at the creatures midsection.
