Mumble Dragon

As dusk rolled across the tired town, large, fat clouds hung overhead. Their dark faces staring downward as they growled with thunder. Lightning crackles in the distances, followed by a slow starting beat of rain, drumming along the rooftops. The people of the town begin to scatter from uncovered areas, finishing their daily tasks and heading inside. The rain falls heavier now, as the sun sets over the landscape, any moon or stars blocked by the overcast that now hangs in the sky.

Now this is where our story begins. amidst the cool showering of rain and bolts of thunder standing guard in the distance, lighting the landscape as they strike. We weave through the streets and remaining crowds to arrive at a tall, powerful building. One of likes no one can help but stare as they commute along their lives. "The Guild" they called it. Some looked on in admiration for their quality, others scoffed at only the trouble they brought their peaceful town since it's inception. The Guild of Galas'nor!

And on this night, this "Guild" would receive a particular visitor. One of whom has been foretold in the tales of old, to arrive in their darkest hours. Which is quite fitting since it's so rainy and gloomy outside.

In the wee hours of the night, a box had appeared. Just inside the main door, groups of raindrops collected on it's surface and had begun to pool onto the floor. It was wary from travel, shown by it's gashes and damaged marks, telling that it has traveled far and long to get to it's destination. There was no note, no message detailing who the gift was from. Save from a few scratched in symbols and a small hole in the side, not much could be said of where it came from. Standing two feet tall and three feet wide, it silently sits in the dark, illuminated by bolts of lightning, flashing into the night. Though if you were to turn it over on one side, you can find the imprinted mark of "This Way is Up" clearly pointing in the wrong direction. Through further inspection, faint words begin to appear, slightly glowing they begin to make out a message to whoever views the box.

Who will be the victim of the box? Who will be brave enough, or unlucky enough, to find it first?

Nyuko Nyun

The young catboy wasn't in a very good mood. He had went out earlier that day looking for someone to join with, or even simply hang out, but everyone he came up to was either too busy, or didn't have time to spend. Dejected, he had went back, figuring Nyaoko, or Beowulf even, might have been free enough. But no! Those two were off about in their own little world, and Nyuko was always left out of it. In fact, he couldn't even remember the last time he had even seen his sister for more than a few passing moments. They were all engrossed in some sort of board game called 'league', or something similar to that. At the very least, it was much too complicated for Nyuko to try at least.

He sighed as he sat outside the large two doors of the guild. Rain poured heavily, but Nyuko took it all in stride. His sister completely hated water, but Nyuko was perfectly fine with it. At times he rather enjoyed the feel of the tiny droplets falling from the skies lightly hitting him in an almost predictable manner.

As the time ticked on, finally night had come. It was then that Nyuko decided to head back to the guild, and upon entering was greeted by a strange box. He wasn't sure what it was, but he proceeded to inspect it closer, even removing the lid if he could find one.

He wasn't in such a great mood after all, but maybe the box had something shiny instead. And Nyuko loved shiny things.

Kryas walked up behind the smaller lad to look at the box that had found its way in front of the Guild hall "You need help carrying this inside?" he had just finished cooking or doing some kind of training because he had a towel around his neck and his brow was covered with beads of sweat. His hair was tied back in a small pony tail highlighting his slightly pointed ears for a change. Seeing the words written on the box made him even more curious to see what it was.

Remembering that Nyuko had seemed to have trouble understanding common in the past he decide to work around that fact. "Since we don't want to break whatever is inside why don't you go and find a table to clear and we can set to cracking open the box there?" He asked with a smile. He always felt like a giant next to the younger catfolk, but he knew better then to say anything that might bruise the young boys still growing ego/

With the slightest stir, the box seemed to come alive. Creaking and groaning, whatever was inside was beginning to strain at it's already weak defenses. Any more of this and it could see itself being torn apart. A spark of lightning lit up the windows around where the strangers stood, followed by the ever ominous crackling of thunder. As if to signal the final seal being broken, the top of the box exploded into splinters, it's contents emerging from the top. "AHAAAAA!" it yelled, bits and pieces of wood and packing peanuts exploded from the box and littered around where it once stood.

A blue frog now stood on top of the insides of the once mysterious box. Now, this wasn't any ordinary frog, it was a frog with a spiffy traveling vest, and a belt littered with pockets. It's slimy blue skin was speckled with black dots, clearly wet from the rain that easily leaked through the holes in the box. Standing two feet tall in all his primal glory, he gazed up at the strangers, then quickly flicked his attention to the room around him. He found himself surrounded by a large room, a large door, and large people. Though the cat-like one unnerved him a tad, he kept observing the new place he found himself in. A smirk crossed his face as he nodded his head up and down, as if accepting his current situation. Why this place was perfect, plenty of space, thin traces of magic could be picked up on the air, and as far as he could tell, he was in no immediate threat from any predators. Nay-say perhaps the cat-like boy that stood before him. Why, the current situation filled his heart with glee! Nothing but rhythms and songs filled his head as the perfect haiku fell upon his lips. "HOME!" he exclaimed while throwing up his arms, croaking his first words in this new place. "This is nice," he turned to face the fellow strangers and gave a bow. "RUN!" and with that, he lept from the confines of the box and took off down the nearest hall.

Wakan Tanka attempts to evade from the two strangers around him and explore the building to his hearts content.

Nyuko Nyun

Much like any strange and curious thing, Nyuko couldn't keep his eyes away from the talking frog. He blinked a couple of times, rubbing them too, but he eventually realized that whatever this thing was, it was freaking cool. There were many races he wasn't aware of, and talking frogs was something he never knew he wanted to see until just now. His mind was busy imagining playing with it. Poking it's blue hide, throwing it into the air, perhaps even seeing how well they could float. Frogs can float right? Don't they have... air bladders or something?

When the little creature dashed off, Nyuko had this urge to simply start chasing after it. Instinct set in as Nyuko followed after the frog, attempting to keep up with the small little creature. He pounced, but like any normal cat, continuing to eye the frog almost predatory.
