"Ahhhh-

This is difficult"

The girl said as she was left alone. Bulbasaur, who should have been with her, suddenly saw a tree past the shoreline and the Pokemon couldn't help but ram into it until both the tree and itself were unconscious. The little miss toiled over the raft that held the poor and deficient Pokemon trainer Kram.

It was a great shame that the accompanying Bulbasaur had turned into a complete nut-case. Maybe, just maybe, if it had a bit more situational awareness, it might have been able to help the girl longer before it got distracted. Over the last few hours, she noticed that the Bulbasaur was losing its sanity. She figured that the poor thing finally cracked - as it continued to vine whip imaginary fire types along the way, making pictures with its vines like a human would with their hands, or bumping its head against the wooden raft for hours. The last action had the girl curious as the Bulbasaur was rather enjoying itself as opposed to feeling a mild headache. She could've sworn there was some sort of furious glint in its eyes when it saw the tree up ahead.

'Abandoning its loving master, and having finally cracked, who could've blamed the poor thing?? She thought.

Well.

It didn't change the fact that it was much harder to pull the raft upshore all by herself.

'If only I had a random muscular man to help me'
'Then I'd easily be able to help Kram up!'

For just a few moments, she had pictured herself with manly muscles but quickly dismissed the thought when it appeared in her mind. A Machamp with pretty, black, long flowing hair - embarrassingly disturbing. No, no, just plain repulsive. Yuck. However, as if to answer her calls, a certain man-truck started speeding its way towards her. Looking in the man-truck?s direction, she saw what she believed to be a Magikarp fishing further behind him. Rather than thinking it was cannibalism, instead, the girl thought much to innocently:

'How creative'

'!'

In the midst of that thought, she lost her grip on the raft and Kram was slowly turning back towards the sea. As she was about to lunge towards the raft thinking of submerging herself once more into the water to grab on, a thicker, wider arm to the side had placed a firm grip on the raft. She didn't care where the help had come from, but she could guess it was from that man-truck earlier. For the moment she lost her grip, she had lost sight of the man-truck.

Pulling the unconscious Kram ashore a fair distance away, she turned to look at Mr. Man Truck.

"Thank you so much" she wanted to say, but couldn't get it out as the truck started talking.

"Don't szank me yet, Fr?ulein! Zis man needs medical attention!" It said.

She had to agree with Mr. Strange-strange-accent Man. Helping Kram's grievous looking wounds was the first priority, but perhaps it might be best to seek out more help, find more supplies. Sadly it looked like the beach had been recently foraged, and neither she nor Mr. Jutting Blasters had any tools specifically to aid him. This was why she had thought of finding more help, perhaps even venturing further into the island or asking the man-truck before her if he had seen anyone.

'Now if only there was a survivalist here' she was already blessed by the sudden appearance of Mr. Tank Muscles, and asking for any more seemed a bit unreasonable. After all, for more than half a day she had struggled along with Bulbasaur. Speaking of which, she saw the blue-green stump stupidly smiling in circles towards two fallen trees. In the time it took the girl and Mr. Super Strength to get Kram ashore, his Bulbasaur managed to fell another tree. At least it was conscious, she thought. That statement quickly became false when the blue-green stump rolled over topside once again.

And then Kram mumbled.

He remained unconscious, and the girl had troubles hearing exactly what he was saying. Slowly, swinging her hair behind her back and lowering her position to where Kram's head was, she put her ear to where she could feel his inhales and exhales. When she did, she could hear his voice, it was very weak, only a little, but it was there.

"...Bul...by..."

She was confused, what did Kram mean by ?Bulby??

'Bulby? As in a light bulb? But no, then why was the 'y' added? Was he simply incoherent, or was there some sort of message-'

'Oh. The Bulbasaur's name-what a horrible naming sense,' she concluded. Shrugging towards Mr. Doom Truck, the girl spoke up against his stature.

"Lets look for others. They can help us take care of Kram."

It was probably apparent that this 'Kram' she was referring to was actually the unconscious man on the ground. Before she would forget, the girl quickly asked for the stranger's name. It was awfully hard not to call him Mr. Truck Face with Muscles.

"But first, what's your name? I never got that." She asked.

Ella

Letina Rae Desl?geech

Letina was in the process of examining the last body that had been washed on shore when her Pok?mon returned with some fresh branches and a few berries. The branches were still too green to be of much use. Considering how beat up they looked, she wondered if they had attacked trees to break branches off. The berries were just enough to last them for the rest of the day if she rationed them properly. Having not eaten most of the boat ride because of being sick, she was very hungry. The idea of having to ration herself was not a happy one.

"Good job, guys!" Letina praised the three for their finds. Even though the branches were not quite as useful as she had hoped they would be, she had not exactly spent time with her Pok?mon teaching them how to do such things. Not that she knew a whole lot about it. What minimal stuff she knew was what she had gleaned from watching shows on TV about survivalists and how they live in the wilds. "Why don't you all rest up for now?"

Once each Pok?mon was in his or her respective ball, she continued looking around. None of the bodies she had checked were still living. Neither did any of them have any sort of useful item that had not been completely destroyed in the storm, with the exception of simple things like clothing. But Letina was not about to go stripping corpses for their clothing. Ah! But what was this? The last body, which was also dead, had an unbroken bottle of potion. Letina pocketed the find, knowing it would come of use eventually. Probably more soon than she would like.

The bodies checked for life and looted of useful items if deceased, the young woman turned her attention to the rest of the debris.  Most of it was useless, being just a broken as the items the corpses had on them. She wondered how so little could have survived the storm when she had. How lucky she was to have survived and with only a few damaged items, too?

She eventually found a large, flat piece of what looked like a piece that had come from the ship. Until she could figure out what exactly to do with her damaged tent, she figured the piece would make due as a reasonable shelter if she propped it up against a tree and hung her tent over it to cover most of the openings. After picking out a tree that looked far enough away from the ocean's waters that she would not wake up soaking wet but close enough that she would not have to worry about her aching body giving out on her before she reached it, Letina began her work of dragging the large piece of debris to the tree.

The petite woman had finally dragged the piece to the tree when out of the corner of her eye, she saw a man dive into the ocean. She was not sure where the man had come from, he seemed to come out of nowhere. She paused, dropping the piece rather than propping it up against the tree, growing tired anyways, and watched as the man swam out towards sea, wondering who he was, where he had come from, and what he was doing. Why hadn't he come to help her? As she watched, the man swam up to what looked like a girl holding on to something with a large piece of wood sticking straight out of it. Good, she was glad someone else noticed the person out in sea. She was definitely not the best at swimming, so she would not have known what to do to help the girl.

As the man helped the girl drag whatever she had to shore, Letina trudged back to the beach to meet them. After all, if the man did not know medicine and the girl was injured, then she would be of help.

Letina, Vinny, and Kram
As both the girl and the man with the accent continued their conversation, Letina had approached, hoping to meet them.

Fellow Rabbit

Vinny Drechsler

For a few moments, Vinny continued to look over the man's wounds, trying to find some way he might be able to fix them up even though he really didn't have a clue what he was doing. Perhaps lucky enough for the unconscious man, however, Vinny was stopped abruptly when he heard a great sound behind him. The Magikarp fisherman jerked around as a matter of reflex to see what had happened, and what he saw he didn't quite know how to explain.

A tree had been knocked over not by a great monster, not by a human with cutting tools, and certainly not by any stray Magikarps flying through the air at mach two. No, what fell this tree was one of the creatures he least expected to have the power to do so. It was a strange Pok?mon he had never seen or heard of before, and it didn't look like it was quite feeling well after doing so. For a moment, it wobbled around, clearly a little loopy as if it had just been hit in the head with a sledge-hammer, before knocking out belly-up. That was rather an... interesting sight to see.

Then the man on the ground mumbled something. Vinny spun back around as fast as he could to see if the man had awoken, but alas, he had not. He hadn't been able to understand what the unconscious man had said, unfortunately, but the determined woman seemed to. Vinny had almost asked what she heard, but she apparently didn't see a need to tell him.

"Lets look for others. They can help us take care of Kram," she suggested.

'Kram?' Vinny thought, 'Oh! Zat must be ze injured man! Vhat an odd name...' he stole another glance at this "Kram" and his innumerable injuries. The longer he looked, the worse they seemed to be. How on earth this poor man had managed to survived what might as well have been a javelin being hurled through his chest was beyond Vinny. That's not something humans tend to survive.

"But first, what's your name? I never got that," the woman went on to ask.

His eyes were still fixed on the mutilated body before them. He really wanted to try and fix him up. Pull that giant 2x4 out of his chest and then wrap him in torn clothing or something. Kinda like that one episode of that one show where the guy gets his arms all stabbed and the doctor has to improvise with unconventional tools because they're stranded on a beach with no real tools suitable for the job. Vinny was sure, though, that with his medical skills, it probably wouldn't help the man any.

Finally, after a few seconds of kinda zoning out into his thoughts about his medical shortfalls, the question registered in Vinny's mind. He looked back up at the courageous lady, smiled widely as if nothing devastating or life-threatening had happened, held up a thumb like one of those dorky kids in school, and announced quite emphatically, "Mein name is Vinny!" He was visibly proud of this, although this perhaps wasn't exactly the best time or place in the world to express his endless satisfaction.

It was then that he noticed a figure out of the corner of his eye walking toward them. He turned to see if he could make out who or what it was, confirmed that it was most likely a human of some kind, although pretty darn short, and then pointed excitedly in the figure's direction. "Look at zis!" he exclaimed, "I have already found someone! Ve are saved!"

Kimmel is still fishing, by the way.

You were among the survivors of the sunk ship. As the waves of water tipped the boat, you managed to secure yourself an even-footing, even avoiding some falling debris. But it still wasn't enough to keep you from getting injured. You have heavy injuries on your torso and arms.

You arrive drenched on the shore, finding a piece of floating debris to bring you to the island. There was no one in sight of your current vicinity however.

QuoteGranting option to Lynne, to roleplay out what happened, for bonus exp, also I need Lynne's actions for the day.

I need the rest of Vinny's actions for the day - though I will autoresolve it to max potential as per your survival roll if I don't get anything before Lynne is finished.

As the boat was sinking, Lynne managed to deal with the situation with grace and poise. She was scared out of her mind, but her body was reacting appropriately. She twirled around falling debris, and managed to avoid being trampled by the crowd in their panic. She had just wanted to go on a cruise to get some good pictures, but everything had gone sideways. The lifeboats were gone. All around her, people were screaming. Crying. The winds battered Lynne's face, rain splashing into her eyes. Someone bumped into her, she stumbled, smashing into the rail on the side of the ship. Below, waves crashed against the ship, as it was going down. Various bits of debris floated, if you can call it that, on the surface of the volatile waters.  Without any life boats around, Lynne grabbed a life jacket, strapped it on and dove into the water, attempting to grab onto one of the various floating objects.

The sea thrashed her body around, slamming and smashing her into debris, pieces of boats, objects that had fallen overboard and bodies as well. All she could do was hold on and hope. Her arms felt as if they weighed a ton, sore from the beating they took. Her stomach felt like she had been stomped on repeatedly. Looking at it from the ocean's point of view, she had.

She washed up on shore, sun shining. Her body sore, but alive. Her supplies still intact and on her person. Lynne was thankful for her waterproof camera case. Looking around, the area was peaceful. Sounds of critters could be heard, but there was not a single sign of people with a quick glance. She didn't know where she was going, but she did know that she would need some food and water before too long. Her tent seemed to have washed up on shore alongside her, so shelter was taken care of. There had to be other survivors from the St. Jude, it wouldn't make any sense if she were the only one.

Lynne collected some of the sea water to run through the filter for later use, and let her Growlithe out of the pokeball. "Alright Ruby, I'm counting on you! See if you can find some tracks!" Ruby combed the beach for tracks, while Lynne examined her injuries.

 Actions

Alright so, assuming water filter will work on salt water. If not, that can potentially be part of my daily survival. Will have further actions depending on what these actions uncover. Ruby is searching for a random scent from nothing, which requires a 14 or higher. Hopefully the scent of a person. Lynne is examining her arm.

If Ruby finds tracks, Lynne will follow her, while keeping an eye out for food, a fresh water source, and people.

Lynne - Perception for those things mentioned above.
Rolled 3d6+1 : 1, 3, 6 + 1, total 11

If Lynne finds people, we can go from there. If she does not find people and it gets later in the day, she will set up camp.

When you first arrived on land, the first thing you noticed was a gash on your left arm and you suffered a wound on your chest. Examining your belongings you realized that you were missing one potion. It may have slipped during the commotion and storm. You did manage to retrieve your tent, though looking at it, it looked as is debris managed to tear through it. It was still potentially usable, but it was damaged. You realized it would need some repair until it was back in good shape, and even then, the damage would still be noticeable.

As you sent of Ruby to search of other survivors or anything else of interest, you began searching your immediate vicinity, mainly along the coast. Going along the coast, and even in the shallow waters you combed the beach looking for anything useful. After awhile of searching, you managed to find what looked to be suitcase, though it was completely drenched. Opening it up, revealed soaked and damaged papers, along with what looked to be a lighter and a soggy packet of cigarettes.

Lynne receives lighter, packet of cigarettes, and what looked to be a sealed bag of dried mangoes.

+1 to food.

You can choose to pick up the suitcase too.
For some reason or another, Ruby still hasn't arrived, even though it had been a few hours already.

Lynne Lockley

If nothing else, Lynne was glad she could say her search wasn't fruitless. She was upset that her tent had been damaged, but it still would provide some amount of protection from the elements so it would be worth setting up if she didn't have anything better. Her arm hurt, but it wasn't broken so she was thankful for that much at least. The lighter and the bag of mangoes would be handy, and she picked up the suitcase as well. It might not be useful right this moment, but if she managed to get a more permanent settlement going, it would be handy to have a case for storage.

After she finished combing the beach, Lynne had noticed Ruby had been gone for quite some time. She called out as loud as she dared. "Ruby?! Where are you?!" She was worried. She set out in the direction she thought Ruby had gone. Staying in the open on the beach wouldn't be the best idea. She also needed to find some drinkable water.

More actions!

Alright so, setting out to search for Ruby is a Survival check.

Calling out to your Pokemon you made you way deeper into the island, towards the large mountain or volcano at the center. You kept your eye out for any other resources you might be able to use, but you didn't come across any streams or rivers. Instead, the foliage grew thicker and as you journeyed things became more and more difficult. You continued to call for Ruby, but you still couldn't find her. Finally, you managed to see what looked to be tracks on the ground, they were just around the size you would expect from your Growlithe, and without any other lead you figured it would be the best option.

Soon enough it paid off however, as you see Ruby dangling in what looked like mid-air. However as you came closer, you realized strands of sticky webbing held your Growlithe aloft. Alarmed you had begun to go towards him, unsure whether or not your Pokemon was still conscious. But then you heard a sound. A strange chittering echo, almost like a quick succession of short clicks. Most important of all, that sound grew closer and louder.
