Thalia Village
Day 2 - During the Planning Meeting

"Since we're all at it making requests from the mayor and the rest of the familia heads... I have a request too." Zen, the head of the Carrots family said raising his hand.

"With two of my daughters being apart of the vanguard heading to Orario earlier today, I'm going to need some extra hands especially with the festival preparation. Many of the crops are already to harvest, but since we plan to leave these lands soon, along with the festival coming up, I think it's best if we start to gather it all. I'll need some help."
Possible Days: Day 3 - 13

Post here if interested in this, and I'll spawn a thread. Feel free to do initial knowledge checks on this thread as well. I'll promote this to the actual play thread once there's interest shown.

The Carrots family is willing to pay for the extra hands even though they already have a large family. Helping the family will take an entire day. This will be done through a Profession (farmer) check, or Survival check. Using Profession (farmer) will grant a +4 bonus to the roll.
Thalia Village
Day 2 - After the Planning Meeting

"I have a personal request! Well... I know I'm asking a lot..." Thalia said while the group was in the meeting still. Of course, everyone had quieted.

"This is the last time we'll be in Meilstora. I don't care much about the gods at the capital, but out here with nothing but simple villagers... It's different. People are kind and nice. When I first came here a couple hundred years ago, all the other children not part of any familia helped me on my journey, and had even helped me settle this land. I want to send invites to the rest of our neighboring villages! Besides!" Thalia grinned, giggling a bit after.

"The more the merrier!"
Possible Days: Day 3 - 13

Post here if interested in this, and I'll spawn a thread. Feel free to do initial knowledge checks on this thread as well. I'll promote this to the actual play thread once there's interest shown.

Players are given a small amount of excelia immediately for joining this adventure.

There is a village after about 8 hours of travel in both directions from Thalia village. Plenty more farther out Thalia wants to throw a large festival to celebrate, and being one of the few goddesses in this region of the world, she wants to make sure the rest of the children get to participate.

Adventurers can choose to borrow a horse to ride to other villages to spread the news. There may be dangers along the road. The more people that come, the bigger events could be for the festival, but be sure not to be late yourself (and giving enough time for other villages to prepare and come)!

Roll a Diplomacy check to bring in people. At a later date I'll spawn the actual encounter thread. Note that most villagers are 1 day away from each other, so there will be travel time.
Day 2 - After the Planning Meeting

"Ah... yes... see... People everywhere will be here, yes? We need to make the roads... safe for everyone. I want to form a road patrol group... to make sure the roads are safe." The quiet voice spoke out, her demeanor making everyone turn towards her. The elf Selphie Ilidove was the mentor for mages in the familia, along with being the reeve of the village, and similar to the constable, the affairs of the familia as a whole was a concern for her.

Helping Selphie Ilidove would be spending a day going out to the north or southern roads, to ensure that there are no dangers at or near the roads. Goblins and the like typically appear. Selphie will be giving a base pay for each day spent with her, and there is a chance to encounter things to fight for excelia earning.
Thalia Village
Day 2 - After the Planning Meeting

One of the woodworkers of the town, a boaz by the name of Montar looked annoyed. "Yes of course! The wagons can come later! Look, the festival is in two weeks, and did you hear how many various stalls and activities are planned? Not to mention, there's talk of getting the neighboring villages too! We have to make sure we have enough stalls, chairs, furniture, for all the guests! We can always sell the extras later when the festival ends! But first we need to make them. Look, I'm a pretty skilled carpenter, but I can't tackle all of this. Mayor Wagner, get some people to help out for me! Stalls are important!"
Possible Days: Day 3 - 13

Helping Montar build stalls will require a profession (carpenter) or craft (carpentry) check per day you want to help him. He will be paying for the services, and you'll also gain a small amount of excelia. Money earned through this event will be a bit more than regular profession rolls.
"I know what I saw! A whole bunch of 'em I tell ya! A giant boar surrounded by a ton of these giant wild hogs! They'll be perfect to hunt, or hmm... Actually, I have a plan! I need some of them captured! Actually, I'd want as much of 'em as possible!"

One of the discussions during the planning meeting was indeed the idea of a prum by the name of Jobin. By the end of it, he had his sights set on capturing giant pigs, saying he had his own idea for the festival that was to occur in around two weeks. Although he was pushed to spill it, he mentioned he'd take care of the details.

It was already getting to be around dinner time, though, Jobin was going around to each of the members of the familia, seeing if anyone would help him.

Thalia Village
Day 2 - Earlier that morning

Trying to sleep was harder than normal. Just that night before Thalia announced she wanted to go to Orario! The city of adventurers, heroes, and riches! The city said to be the center of the world. She figured the rest of the night would help calm the spark of adventure that continued to grow and grow. She was, after all, just a farmer for the village. True she had been studying under her mentor, Ayla Virfiel, an elf in the familia who could cast magic, but Mimsy only trained under her because she had developed a rare magic slot due since receiving her falna. It would have been a waste not to do anything with it, and being wasteful was never something Mimsy approved of.

Even if every fiber in her body really wanted to go to Orario, to be part of the first group that would prepare it for their goddess, Mimsy knew she had many more responsibilities here back at home. Her parents, the farm, the vegetables, her brothers, her sisters, and Sotu, too of course. They all looked up to her. So when the night had ended with the announcement by the goddess being the talk of the town all the night and probably this morning as well, Mimsy did her best in hiding her true desires.

"Okaaaay! Mimsy! Snap out of it." The hume bunny whispered quietly as she got up, sighing. Her eyes were baggy still, she hardly got any sleep at all. Her thoughts for that entire night had been dreams of adventure. She looked around, realizing the rest of her siblings were still fast asleep. Sotu had been lying nearby on the multiple large beds the siblings shared with each other, and Mimsy couldn't help but pat the younger girl's head. Sotu didn't have the same bunny ears, or tail, as the rest of the Carrots family. Sotu was a cat person. But this cat person was still family to the rest of them.

That's right. This was her true calling. As Mimsy continued to stare at Sotu, then moving her eyes to the rest of her siblings who were still sound asleep, that was enough to calm that so-called spark of adventure in her. First and foremost, Mimsy was the eldest sibling of the Carrots family. Even if she wanted to go to Orario, her family came first.

Mimsy stretched, then quietly hopped off the bed, and made her way towards the central room of their burrow. She wasn't expecting anyone at all, her family was still likely asleep. But instead she ran into both her mother and father. They both sat at the table, facing towards her, almost as if they were expecting her or the others to wake up.

"Morning sweetie, we have your pack ready." Her mother, Layla, said. Mimsy frowned, a bit confused.

"Make sure you're safe out there." Her father, Zen, said right after.

Out there? That spark of adventure within her flared again as Mimsy hesitantly moved forward, seeing that indeed a backpack had been placed on one of the seats at the table.

"What do you mean..?"

"You're going to Orario, aren't you? We're your parents, we know you've always wanted to go there... Don't think we didn't notice when you started to ask about stories from Orario, or when you began training with Ayla."

Mimsy paused, her face a mixture of confusion and surprise. She didn't really know how to respond. It was true she wanted to go, but she didn't think anyone really caught on to it at all. Either it was the hesitance, or the silence that began to draw out, that her father eventually broke the silence.

"You heard Thalia last night... She wants her familia with her. Make sure we have a place to go in Orario. We're a village of almost 400... If anything... Make sure your siblings have a place to be over there. We'll just be a month behind."

"B-but... What about harvest? Or the rest? Shouldn't we wake them? What about Sotu? She's been so attached... I can't just leave them."

Mimsy glanced back towards the opening to the large bedroom, hoping none of the others had woken up yet.

Thalia Village
Day 1 - Late Evening

It was about two hours into the play, Thalia and the rest of the village was looking forward to this specifically, as this particular showing would have been the finale to the long epic saga that the goddess Thalia and the villager volunteer actors had been building up to for the last year. With only one session of the show per week, and with how slow and idyllic the village usually was, the play that was put on weekly became something everyone eagerly waited for. It was a time to spend time with friends, and even keep company with the rest of the villagers, not to mention a chance to see one of your village's goddess' hobbies in action (the largest one being theatrical plays).

The scene playing out right now was the final clash between the heroes of the story verses a gigantic metallic creature.

The theatre stage lighting homed in on the right side of the stage. Specifically towards two villagers who were wearing what looked to be a thick blanket with slabs of metal and shiny rocks painted pink on it. It was large enough to cover both of them, and together they acted out pretending to be a giant scary metallic monster. One was the lower half, with the other sitting atop them. Their feet thudded loudly as Thalia described the scene, crushing what was once a wooden toy village. In the story thus far, these creatures had been destroying the peace of this far off land, appearing out of nowhere, and laying waste to the countries and people around them.

"Uuhh... Rawr!" One of the actors in the blanket roared, staring towards the ground as if their foe were small little creatures. Her voice didn't quite match what she was portraying, but the villagers still smiled as they watched the 'creature' continue its work in destroying the small wooden village. She crushed the hastily created miniature village with abandon.

A few moments of that, and the stage lights moved again, this time shining the light on the left part of the stage. It was late enough in the night, that moving the stagelight dimmed the first pair of actors. The light focused on another set of actors, eight of them altogether. Each of these actors were other villagers too, though, they all held either some sort of weapon, or were dressed up in imaginative clothing. These were the heroes of the land who held special powers that were to be used in great times of need. Over the course of the last year of these theatrical plays Thallia would hold, the story had focused on each of these characters and their journey to become heroes.

Musicians, nearer the back of the stage began to play an upbeat song and rhythm to match the scene that was unfolding.

"Friend's list communication line is active!" A villager wearing a red wig announced as she looked upwards as if she were staring at something large and looming towering above them.

"I hear you! I'm holding it down!" Another one yelled loudly as he pointed his blue painted spear upwards. This one was clothed in a white robe, with green adorning it, and a gold trim that completed the look. The stage lights moved back to the right, and a moment after that, a couple more actors, this time, dressed up as tentacles appeared. They began to forcefully grab the 'creature'.

"A-au~ Noo!" The actress said frantically as both her and the other underneath the metallic pink robe were jostled back and forth by the people dressed up as tentacles. With the large creature pinned down, the other heroes burst into action.

The lights moved back towards the heroes.

"Charging your magic." One of the heroes said who was holding a lyre. She strummed her lyre once. "It's done!"

"Come forth, Golem!" Another one of the heroes yelled out who was wearing some sort of fantastic and unrecognizable uniform.

After that call out, the stage lights headed towards the center of the stage. From there, two more actors, one a large man, and on top of him a prum appeared. Like the metallic monster, they wore a kind of robe that made it seem like they were a single rock-like monster. The fact that this was two actors on top of each other however, made this new 'golem' taller and more imposing than the metallic monster they were fighting.

"Upgrade: Orichalcum!" A voice called out from the left stage.

"Target: Golem Fist. Condition: On Impact. Statement: Maximum MP, light it up!" Said another voice.

The golem quickly sped forth, running towards the metallic creature, as the gauntlets the boaz actor wore began to glow and spark. Closing the distance in just a second, both the large man and prum yelled with all their might as two more voices could be heard.

"Destroy!"

"Mimicry, Destroy!"

The fists connected! "Guuhh..!" Something on the pink robe triggered as well as sparks exploded from it. Not only that, behind the stage more flares sprung to life as a loud and deafening crashing sound of a large cymbal clashed. For a moment the blindingly bright light and sounds dazzled the audience.

The lights cut off then, and everyone was silent as they held their breath in anticipation.

When the lights slowly came back on, all 8 heroes were standing in triumph in a pose, as some musicians in the back took that as a cue to play a more heroic melody. With that, the villagers cheered; their thunderous clapping and roaring echoing through the quiet village.

Thalia Village
Day 2 - Morning

The group heading out to Orario city, which people had been calling the 'vanguard' group had just departed, with the rest of the village waking up soon after.

Someone the night before after the play had suggested a grand festival on the night before Thalia and those going with her, travel to Orario. It would take another few more weeks after that for the final group consisting of most of the other villagers to head to Orario, but mostly everyone wanted to have a send-off party befitting the goddess of comedy and laughter.

However, this would take plenty of planning indeed.

The mayor was already busy gathering the various store owners, and heads of the various groups in the village. The lumberjacks, the fishermen, farmers, the innkeepers, the craftsmen, the brewers, among others. You, too, were invited to listen in, either to take a hand in the proceedings for planning of the festival, or to simply figure out the potential plans that would be laid out in case you were needed.

The goddess, Thalia, was with the group as well, of course, listening quietly, but grinning all the while and smiling at everyone as the rest discussed what to do.

"Does anyone have any other suggestions?"
Next party split.

However, opening it up to the players to drive your own goals. I'll be more free with excelia and rewards for player-driven initiatives. More so if multiple players latch on to your ideas. To jog some creativity:

 • Setting up your own festival stand. Food, festival games, etc.
 • Putting your own show, or amusement of some sort.
 • Other ways to help out in the festival.
Preparation of this will need to be handled by the players. Eg, if you need food, or stalls, either make them yourself, or convince the woodworkers of the village to help.

Planning Meeting
Discussion of specific plans will take the entire day, 8 hours. If you are having your character offer their input with the other village heads, include an associated Profession check, or a Diplomacy check. Using a Profession skill will grant a +2 bonus to the roll.

If you are listening, or simply leaving early to start doing your own preparations, state so, if needed we'll spawn more threads.

There will be multiple mini adventures that are open at specific days during the festival preparation. Most of them takes an entire day to accomplish. Feel free to figure out what activities you will be doing on what days.

Activities:

Feel free to join any of all of these.

Thalia Village
Day 2 - Early Morning

It was early. It wasn't even dawn yet, but already, a few villagers of Thalia village were busy preparing for the group heading forth to Orario, which they had dubbed as the 'vanguard'. Either the night before, or early that morning, you decided that you would be a good fit for venturing out to Orario first.

The mayor of the village, Jadran Wagner, looked over the wagon that was prepared that morning as you and the rest of your group waited for the rest of the villagers to finish loading it up with a variety of supplies. Food, clothing, spare weapons, blankets, spare clothing, various tools like fishing rods and nets, along with other items someone figured the vanguard group would need.

The entire process didn't take too long. Many of the villagers were already pretty gung-ho with getting everything prepared, and they all knew that setting up a base site in Orario was perhaps one of the most important jobs to take, even if it means missing out the festival that was being planned for the departure date of Thalia's group.

Jadran motioned for the rest of you to gather just when the wagon was finally prepped and ready. In his hands looked to be a chest.

"I want you all to keep this safe... It's not quite all the savings of the village, but it's perhaps around half of it. I'm not entirely sure myself on how pricey it is to setup over there in Orario... But hopefully we can use this to get something setup for the rest of us. It's probably the most valuable thing here." He explained as he placed the chest neatly in the wagon, nestled away between some other crates, and left in a spot where the driver could easily pick it up if they needed to. Next, Jadran pulled out what looked to be a scroll case, then handed it to one of you. Inside the scroll case was a map.

"This is the route to get there... One of the merchants who saw the play last night decided to sell this to us for cheap. According to him, it's up to date. Now... any other questions before you guys head out?"

Height: 5' 4" ~ Weight: 121 lbs ~ Age: 17 ~ Race: Hume Bunny

"Oh..? Would you like help with that?"

Personal Information

Appearance
Clear red eyes adorns a gentle face that seems to perpetually hold a smile. Her long thick hair is braided into a single long ponytail hanging all the way to her hips, neatly tied and finish with a red ribbon that accentuate her eyes. Like all Hume Bunnies, she sports a set of long white ears, reminiscent of bunnies, along with a short tail sprouting from her back. Her attire, a set of leather armor, a gift from her parents, matches with the general white and red theme. Thick red braided cords tie her armor together, with a short white shoulder cape adorning her top. She looks relatively frail, though she is no stranger to physical labor as she helps on the Carrots family farm.

Personality
Gentle and caring, Mimsy is the eldest among her siblings. 31 siblings, including her and her parents make a grand total of 33 for the Carrots family. As a result, she developed strong maternal instincts early as she helped raise and take care of all her younger siblings most her life. This extends to her friends, and to most of the others in her goddess' village. Generally doting and at times overbearing, she could be found spending most of her time doing something for one of her younger siblings, or even helping one of the other villagers out. That said, her almost care-free demeanor, and lack of knowing how to communicate well often leave other townsfolk more often than not perplexed. In the end however, rather than relying on words or wittiness, she lets her own actions speak.

Biography
The Carrots family had arrived in Nortia village only two decades prior, Mimsy's mother and father deciding to settle a piece of fertile land in Nortia's domain. They quickly became accepted into Nortia's Familia, though their work was primarily with tending and growing their fields. Carrots was the single crop that the Carrots family took to growing, and as more and more children were born into the Carrots family (at least 1 a year), they became the primary supplier of carrots for the village.

Born as eldest of the Carrots family, Mimsy had to fill the expectations of multiple things for both her and her family; As guide for the rest of her younger siblings, a model for them to follow, a friendly face to act as the saleswoman on market day, and as a hard worker for their fields of carrots. The role of older sibling is especially true for the one adopted child of the Carrots family. For as long as she could remember, Sotu Ros, a cat person that their family adopted, had always looked up at her.

That said, even though Mimsy enjoys helping her family, she dreams of the day where she can go out and be an adventurer of Orario. When she gained her falna at the age of 14, she quickly developed her first magic slot, and not long after the first spell had came to her. Ever since that day, Mimsy had been balancing work at the farm, practicing with her weapon, and honing her casting of the spell. When the goddess Nortia announced plans to attempt to grow their familia into Orario itself, Mimsy was one of the first to sign up. Unfortunately, with the fact that harvest season was coming soon, the young girl decided to instead wait to follow after her goddess until after harvest.

Ideals

More than ever, Mimsy wants to explore the dungeon. Primarily to bring a source of income to her family back in Nortia village.
Bonds

Mimsy is close to all of her younger siblings, spoiling them and doting on them as often as she could. She's also friendly towards the rest of the villagers, many times offering help in any job in town. She is also close to her mentor, an elven mage by the name of <Ella's Character's Parent Figure>, who had begun teaching her how to correctly use her magic.
Flaws

Her parents had recently been bugging her to find a mate, but she herself isn't interested, choosing instead to focus on her siblings, her practice with her weapon, and the farm work.
If another player has a Trait bond with Mimsy, this will be updated.
QuoteThe only meeting I see in the calendar is for the Priestess of the Shrine of Light. Feel free to let me know if you have other plans though.

Location: Noble Villa
Date: Day 15 - 11:30 AM

You make your way to where the priestess of the Shrine of Light is staying at. Eventually she had let you in, and the two of you were sitting in some chairs facing each other.

"I bid you greetings, Amelia-san."

QuoteYou can continue the RP by making a side thread if you wish.

You managed to find enough material for the uniform, after that, Trudy went to sleep. You noticed that Kari didn't bother going to bed until a bit later, and even after that, she woke up 4 hours later. As for your work trying to mend the uniform back, you actually did a pretty decent job. By the end of the night, you would have made a proper uniform.

It was sometime during the night, when you and Kari were awake, that you both noticed wolves started to surround the perimeter of the camp.

With the orders given out, the first well-adorned Lamia went back into the tunnels below. The guard she had spoken to give out orders to the rest, she sent one of the guards to the mates' home, which was apparently the bunch of houses and homes to the east that you were able to see. Next she sent two more guards, one going westwards, while the other eastwards, on a pair of dark horses. You noted that the horses didn't seem to match the Lamia at all, and going through your memories, you easily recognized them to be the types of horses the dullahan used.

With that done, she simply turned towards the rest of the gathered crew.

"You heard mistress Misophe, everyone else start looking for the hero in the woods."

"Should we get the other guards in the tunnels?" One of the Lamia asked.

In response, the Lamia looked at her other companion who had just spoken and sighed.

"As I understand the mistress' commands, she was only speaking to us up here. Report back in half an hour, if you don't see anyone, then we simply tried our best, didn't we?"

The other Lamia guards hesitantly nodded, and then began to move off.

QuoteColor change and picture for the guard.

You are 60 ft. away, another Stealth check would let you come by unnoticed. The rest of the few guards 'searching the woods', had already passed you.

QuoteOODM: Non-important encounters at an easy-enough difficulty will be sent into new side threads. Priority on these is below the main thread for me, though I'll try to get to them quick enough, at least before the next encounter.

[info]Perception: 14
The horses starting to tire, it was still relatively bright outside. As you traveled, you noticed that most groups were either well-armed like your current caravan, or groups ranging from 3 to 6, of people that you assumed to be adventurers. You also noticed plenty of people wearing pointy hats and robes, along other armors that were even more fantastical than the medieval fullplates that the knights around you wore. If you weren't in another world, it would have reminded you of a something like a renaissance fair or some sort of convention. You didn't really notice anything out of the ordinary though.

At least until 6 javelins came careening from the woods to the right, attacking the right flank of the caravan. Thankfully, the knights were heavily armored with both their plates of armor and their shield.[/info]
"To arms! Protect the hero and the mayors!" Kayden bellowed loudly. You saw where the javelins had come from, and you managed to make out the form of large monstrous humanoids lurking behind some thick bushes.

Once you had settled back into your tent, and had begun to rest, you heard a familiar voice from right outside.

"Hey Fred? Can I come in?" Lai Ju asked.

Telamon seemed absolutely excited to showcase the Ramparts to the rest of the crew. "Finally... I can show you the beautiful creation which is the Ramparts. Which... I would say is perhaps the best and most important feature of the entire Thamylon Legend." Telamon boasted. Though she was a gynoid, an artificial being, her demeanor since the time you met her could have passed off as a normal person.

"There are three 'floors' to the Ramparts, 700 ft. from one end to the other. Along with the three floors, there are three primary sections as well. There are a few sleeping quarters... But not enough to house any large contingency. Really, just enough for the operators. So! Where would you like to go first?"

QuoteRoll 20 map was moved to it, I'll update it with names whenever you pass by things, or whenever you want a full tour without the step-by-step RP of it.

The rest eventually agreed with your plan. Though, Lai Ju expressed concerns over your wounds.

It was dark, though, wasn't completely pitch dark as there were glowing roots back in abundance in this area closer to the glowing tree. The torch you brought along lighted the way however, with a bright light of 20 ft. around you, and 40 ft. onward. There were places of dimlight further as well, and you could already make out the crystal-man.

It was tall and humanoid in shape, though definitely not human at all.  Its head sports no eyes, nose, ears, or mouth. Its body appears razor-sharp and jagged. But what caught your attention the most was its hands end in wicked claws. It was standing alone, completely still, as if it was a statue of crystal.

QuoteEveryone else is 120 ft. behind you. Primarily Eris, who has Dark Vision, will alert the rest of the group to come to you. They are being extremely quiet, and have no lights.

At that moment, when it was still about 120 ft. away, you caught sight of it running towards you.

The morning soon came, this time around, Minette was actually the first to wake up, already preparing to head out. Trudy was still gently asleep on the other hand, while Jitsuko, on the other bed in the room was still asleep as well.

Minette smiled softly when she noticed you wake.

"Good morning Hanako... Today is a busy day... I need to prepare for the other administrators arrival... What time are you leaving for the mines today?" Minette asked quietly as to not disturb Trudy and Jitsuko's sleep.

You start to venture further into the cavern and tunnel complex. Soon enough, the amount of glowing roots started to lessen, however, there was still plenty about. The caverns were still quite wide and spacious, and there was still the same motes of light floating in the air much like it was back nearer the Spirit Tree. However, you made some sort of discovery, there was a glowing flower, similar to the glow of the Spirit Tree, but this one was dripping a glowing blue fluid, pooling into a glowing pool beneath it. There was much more life around there too, not just the glowing blue flowers, but other glowing fungi and mushrooms. There were crystals nearby too which was glowing much more brighter than usual.

《Chapter 3: The Road to New Binmoor》

Location: Chynance Village
Date: Day 2

It was early in the morning when you heard the sounds of chickens greeting the morning sun. Shortly after that, there was a knock at your door. It was Maban's voice. "Good morning Diane. Kenver's quickly preparing some food to eat for all of us. But we've prepped everything last night and are ready to go."

[info]Perception (Fisherman's Fish): 28
The fishermen seemed to be reeling in a long and darkly-colored fish. They were either long fish, or short eels. They were more meaty than the average eel from Earth however, and it was these that the fishermen were catching in their nets.[/info]
Lili nodded. "From whit we kin tell, it used to be a lairge city. Unfortunately, most o' it has bin eroded. Thir's a few patches o' ruins lik' we've bin passing by, bit we're still trying to figure out how expansive 'twas. Thir's pure weird things about it to. Some o' th' archaeologists believe it wasn't originally underground. Bit a don't know th' all the details much about it."

"That's th' thing. We kin go into th' lobby o' that building... Bit after that, thir's anither door that we cannae. Ye'll see." Lili said as she made her way closer to the building. "And they are priests. Aye. Bit we passed by a couple o' thaim earlier. Juist stick close wi' me, ah will stare at thaim hard, 'n' hopefully they'll leave us alone."

The dwarves at the perimeter had taken notice of you, and you can tell they were all robed dwarves. Lili did her best to keep a brisk pace and ignore them, but one of the dwarves stepped up to the front of the building's door.

"Princess, ye'r nae forordinar doon 'ere... 'n' ye'r nae forordinar wi' a human 'n' a... Whitevur that is."

QuotePrincess, you're not usually down here... And you're not usually with a human and a... whatever that is.

Lili raised an eyebrow, but chose not really to respond. "Shove it aff. We're passing." With that she simply went by past him, the dwarf frowned, but Lili made it through, hitting the dwarf's shoulder as she passed. Ren stared at the dwarf too, and slyly one of her tentacles became metallic and sharpened into a spear. With that the dwarf simply stepped aside giving you and Ren free entrance.

Once inside, Lili whispered slowed to whisper to you. "That's why ah don't lik' th' priests. Always in mah face." Lili continued to lead the way, keeping her pace up so hopefully discourage the dwarves from following. The lobby of the building was in a much better state than the rest. There was a much more modern feel to this building than what you saw even back at the dwarven city. However, it was rather empty, even if everything was kept in a good state. Lili lead the way into a flight of wide stairs, and the look of the area started to change. Instead of stone, or possibly some sort of concrete for the walls, it became metallic. The hallway itself was long, and as you walked, the lights turned on. The floor was tiled with square metallic pieces. The design of this particular hallway looked like it would fit more in sci-fi TV show back on earth than anything else in this world. At the end of the hallway was a door.

The door itself was fairly plain. It was all one color, so your eyes were quickly drawn towards a circular panel on it. On the circle was 6 gems equidistant from each other. They were in a myriad of colors: black, white, red, blue, brown, and light blue. It was around eye-level as well.

There were words written in a circular pattern around the panel: "Only Those Blessed by the Goddesses"

"'ere we are. Th' gate we cannae git thro'." She pointed at the words around the circular panel. "Only thing we have to go by are these wurds written in Old Felothian. 'Heroes Chosen' Ah believe is whit our scholars mak' o' it."

"Of course Amelia..." Kurt said as the group continued its way towards the castle. Everyone else moved in silence, though there were many cityfolk who had been whispering to themselves, keeping an eye on what had happened. "You're doing all you can for us, and that's more than enough. And you are the hero, the hero of Mendernich." Kurt said, a hint of pride in his voice.

"There is one thing I want to talk about though..." Kurt said hesitantly a moment later.

《Chapter 15: Capital of Drugan, Kherngolarr, Last City of Dwarves》

When you neared the structure, you noticed grooves in it that attempted to disguise itself as part of the rock itself. It was expertly done, however, the grooves were indeed noticeably through inspection. Not only that, the stone wasn't as cold as you would have expected. With how cold the weather was, there was some warmth from it as well. It was at that moment that the grooves started to move.

QuoteOne round of actions here if you would like, but moving the scene on.

A slab of the stone moved out of the way moving downwards, and you realized it was a door of some sort. Once the stone was removed, it revealed a room inside that radiated warmth and heat. In front of you was a short girl. She had pointed ears, though, they were short and didn't look like elven ears. She sported pony tails that were curled up and well-maintained. A dress of primarily white and pink. But what caught your attention the most was the large right gauntlet she wore. Along with a giant axe that was just about her size strapped to her back.

"Sae ye mist be th' fallen hero everybody's bin talking aboot. They ca' me Lili Seadhg, princess o' th' dwarven kingdom o' Drugan. Come wi' me wa dornt ye."

"I know of iron, coal, and steel. But... Solfur?" He asked, pronouncing the strange word. "I haven't heard of that before. Is it a material back in your own world then? I wouldn't even begin to know how to start getting that. There isn't much trade... but I pay attention to the traders that do come to town though. For the most part our village doesn't get much trade at all, even though we're near the center of this country. At least our roads are busy with traders passing by, but nothing really convinces them to setup shop due to the fact we really have nothing to offer except for our Inn and Tavern."

"If you're looking for iron, our smith will have some. Steel is made in a much smaller quantity though, but I already made plans with him to sell the weapons on his behalf at the closest city of the Felencorp."

When you reached over to kiss him on the forehead, Hunt blushed fiercely. "I'm not actually very good at fighting... Kay-Kay tells me I just need to practice more... But I can spar! It would help me get better too!" He forced a smile. "But you're a great hero! A lot of other heroes are in denial sometimes... especially the first few days... but you already started trying to help everyone. There was a story Kay-Kay told me before of a mad hero that even our knights couldn't handle." He looked down. "Umm... I admit I was kinda scared because of stories I heard from that mad hero... but hero..." He looked up towards you, then began to reach his arms out.

The knight took the branch, and looked it over. "It can do as a weapon if it came for it, but it's thin in various places and would break down in a few hard swings." The knight said. "If a staff is your preferred weapon though, we have that along with many others that we've brought with us. There is also an artifact that our kingdom has prepared for you back in the capital." There was a slight glare from Kenver towards Kayden, but Kenver chose not to say anything. Kayden chose to ignore it as well. "If you would like, after your bath and dinner, I could show you the weapons. Are you well-versed in martial combat and weaponry?" Kayden asked.

Both men blushed when you reached over to kiss them lightly on the cheek. Kenver recovered quicker than Maban. "A workshop... It doesn't quite have one of those, but it wouldn't take much work to convert one of the existing rooms." Kenver mentioned. "We've maintained the home for generations now. And of course my brother and I would rebuild sections of it when we need to, much like our ancestors in the past. The priests of Chynance village have guarded that summoning circle for hundreds of years."

"I'll lead the way then... When we get there, I'll prepare the bath." Maban said as he began to walk away from the rest, beckoning everyone to follow him.

"I'll stop by my camp while you freshen up, hero Diane." Kayden said. "I'll have a few of my fellow knights bring a selection of weapons and armors. Though if there are any you are most interested in, that would work as well. Some of the armors might not fit the best... But we can have you fitted later."

"I should be the one thanking you!" Gerens said one more time as he waved you goodbye. "I'll be here for a couple more days, but with the wagon fixed... I think I can bump up my departure. I'll make sure to visit." He said, smiling warmly.

As you went through town, you realized that you were headed towards the two largest buildings in the entire village. These made use of bricks and stone as well, compared to the rest of the village which stuck with wood, occasional bricks, and usually having a thatched roof on top. Soon enough you were there. The largest building had three floors altogether where most of the other homes in the village had a single floor. There were many windows across the square building, and a tower seemed to protrude from the top of it as well. Towards the side there was a section that looked to be a stable. While further back and behind was evidence of another small building behind it.

Next to the large building was one that looked like a chapel of some sort. There was a tower attached to it, and in its yard to the side was a variety of grave markers. This building, like the larger one next to it, had its own proper roofing, and was also made out of bricks.

"Welcome to your new home." Kenver said proudly as he pointed towards the largest building. "The work of generations of my family..."

《Chapter 14: Escape from the Treants》

When you finally killed it, you heard the sounds of wings flapping, and far above you, you managed to spot a blue dragon descending. You already recognized the form. It was one of the young dragons from back in Mt. Velothia. Alyona, the one who had dropped you in the middle of the fight at Tathi village.

She seemed to be in a rush, but she eventually landed.

"Hero Jean!" The dragon said as she transformed back into her human form. Her eyes widened when she noticed the broken trees. "There's something umm... weird going on... The others don't know what to make of it. But... Walking trees are heading from the north, making their way southwards. We tried talking to them, but they ignored us. They didn't seem hostile, so umm...we just let them go... Anyways... I was kinda napping when you arrived earlier... I wish you would have checked on me, none of the soldiers bothered to wake me up either..." She pouted. But she brightened up a moment later.

"I heard the news earlier, but I wanted to say umm..." She looked down, and you can see a slight blush on her features. "I'm glad you're back here safe too... And I hope sister and Rosalie will be okay too."

She then pointed towards the broken trees. "Why did you... kill them?" She asked.

《Chapter 6: Spirit Tree》

"It's not that hero... The Red-Hand pride themselves in being an organization that runs well and smoothly..." She bit her lip. "It's not that they hate the Dark Ravens specifically... It's more that this is how they keep their members in line... If I don't report back, then that means I'm a loose end... And if I'm a loose end, they eliminate those. When I followed my brother in joining the Red-Hand, I knew this... It's just... I didn't think I'd ever be in a position to want to betray them. The Red-Hand did the same for my brother and I, as the Dark Ravens do... Taking up people in the streets to train as assassins. But where in the Red-Hand things are strict, here... we're alot more free. Lai Fen brings back trinkets and food for everyone, we give away what we get from the corrupt nobles, and many of the people in town respect us, not out of fear, but out of gratitude..."

Her eyes looked downwards. "I still owe the Red-Hand for taking my brother and I in, but... But I feel more at home here than I ever did over there."

"We have multiple escape routes from each of our hideouts underground. This isn't everyone though Fred... And as much as I want to wait here. I would agree with you that we need to move. There is one place that we can gather too, that both Tharielle and Filiane know. Along with the older members of the Dark Ravens... I told you that these underground tunnels stretch far right? I was told the surface areas of it were already here since before Baolong shifted into the New World. But the far deeper levels only appeared after we came here. At least, according to our old master. It's also..." Lai Fen's eyes were a mix of emotions. "It's also where we laid him to rest. The paths down there start to get confusing... But the original members of the Dark Ravens all know it by heart, or at least, should. And due to the fact its.... a personal place of our master, it's not really a place we normally venture to. I doubt the Red-Hand know of this, nor has Gu-Bai or Mo Ruogang, or any of the newer Dark Raven members been there. There is a cache of supplies there too that we can wait it out... What do you think, Fred?"

Location: Earth
Date: 2017 - May 22

Location: ???

When you finally began to stir, everything was different than what you expected. However, the memories of the the final few moments still lingered in your mind. The car slamming into you with forceful impact, your vision starting to blackout as you started to lose consciousness, everything becoming so very cold. Yet instead of what you expected, there were no loud sirens from emergency vehicles, people shouting in alarm, hard paved roads, or pain. In fact, everything felt peaceful to you. There was the rustling sound of grasses being blown by the wind, the ground felt soft, and when you finally opened your eyes you realized you were looking face up into the skies above. The crisp smell of fresh air and the outside world greeting you.

A bright blue sky, one that didn't quite look real, yet was still there above you stretched across your vision. Expanding it, looking around you, would have seen fields of grass from as far as the eye could see. It was surrealistic. Where you expected some sort of break, either mountains, hills, or perhaps even forests, there was nothing but long fields of grasses, the bright blue sky, and fluffy white clouds overhead.

There was a penetrating feeling of calm in the area, and it was hard to shake it off. There was a dream-like state to it all. Everything felt real, but at the same time it didn't. It was at that moment that a voice greeted you. A warm gentle voice, though one that still carried a sense of strength and power behind them.

"Hello Diane."

The girl who spoke was armored from head to toe, carrying a long spear that looked much too large for her, along with a round metallic shield on her other arm. She had a set of unnatural green hair, with unnatural red piercing eyes. It was similar to the cosplayers who went to conventions, or perhaps, even someone dressing up for halloween. She was a small girl, through her eyes continued to look sharply brimming with confidence. She had a gentle smile on her face as she bent down offering a hand for you to grab on and pull yourself up. Her next words confirmed a suspicion.

"Welcome to the afterlife."

《Chapter 13: The Battle of Tathi Village》

Changing back into her dragon-form, with you hoping on her back, Valeriya took off. Strong gusts of winds blew from below her as she continued to gain elevation. You saw them high above you, the forms of dragon on knights, with the knights casting spells or using their bows to fire. The Wind Priests had a similar tactic, though, more often than not, had their birds engaged with the small flying demons. There were already a couple of Wind Priests who were no longer around, and you remember seeing some bodies of birds and priests back on the ground. The knights on the other hand kept a tight formation.

Three dragonknights broke off the main group then started to swoop down, meeting you as you started to rise up. It was then that you heard Valeriya's voice in your head.

Three knights you were with before. Indeed, it was Thurston, Braxton, and one of the other dragonknights that you had trained with.

"Hero Rosalie!" It was Thurston who called out. "We've kept a tight and close formation. The Wind Priests though... individually they're powerful, but they're too aggressive! There's another thing too." Thurston said grimly.

"We're heavily outnumbered. There's at least 500 of the flying things up here! This is the first time we're flying with our dragon companions in battle... And communication has been difficult."

You felt Valeriya's displeasure as a sort of emotion. You heard her voice explain.

Ah damn. Each of the dragons have a simple mental link with the other dragons. Valeriya explained. Not as strong as the ones we have with our rider of course, but it's enough to convey orders from the commanders to the rest of the dragonknight fleet. I'm the oldest dragon here... Everyone had just only reached 50, or just a bit older. It would make sense that they're having difficulty with relaying information concisely.

《Chapter 13: The Evacuation of Tathi VIllage》

Soon enough, Ren and Dalina followed you to the platform. After that, Amie's father nodded towards Rosalie and raised his hand in a farewell gesture. The earth beneath you situated itself so that it was slightly tilted the direction back to the estate, and it had even made a depression into the platform for an easier to find to maintain a foothold.

"Karn Eldricksen." The man finally stated once the platform was speeding back towards the estate. "Alchemist of Meldoran, but from what I can gather... This place we are in now, isn't Meldoran." He spoke his words more of a statement than a question. "And what are the names of Tathi village's heroes?"

"The one in the green hair is named Dalina. She follows... uhh... him." She pointed at you. "As this guys is one of the heroes of this world, the other girl before is one of them too, that one's name is Rosalie." Amia replied. "I don't know the tentacle girl's name though."

"It is rude to point at others, Amie." Karn said. Amie rolled her eyes though and didn't respond.

Once nearer the mansion, the ground in front of the speeding platform suddenly gave way, as the platform lowered and sunk into the ground. The group was still moving however, and soon enough you found yourself underground. As you traveled that short distance underground, it seemed as if the dirt was simply displaced and moved around you. A few more short seconds and there was a stone wall in front of the group, but that too parted, creating an opening wide enough for everyone to go through. Everyone was pushed through the newly created opening, with the dirt that was pushing you soon turning to stone and floor which made up the underground of the state. Once everyone was inside the wall behind you closed up. Looking back, it looked as if the stone wall was never disturbed in the first place. There were lights in the room, and you realized that the lights was more akin to the ones back on Earth, it had the same kind of glow you would expect from fluorescent lamps.

There were some others in there as well, presumably the villagers of Tathi village.

"Is the mayor of Tathi village here?" Karn asked as he scanned the group. He then glanced towards you before the villagers could response. "A hero is here to save us."

《Chapter 6: Capital of the Xalaster Orthodoxy, Olodeen, City of Saints》

Location: Gates to Olodeen
Date: Day 4 - Time: 5 PM

Just like the castle of Roshandan, the city of Olodeen itself was something you haven't seen before back on Earth. Where Roshandan castle generally had a dark and foreboding aura, with gargoyles that decorated its ramparts, and the moat of lava with the ashen grey wastelands surrounding it. The city of Olodeen was much the opposite. White spires reached to the skies, many of them ending in dome-shapes that looked to be a combination of both gothic and eastern orthodox churches back in your own world. Large statues of figures either dressed in robes or in armor were aligned near the walls. The statues took defensive stances, as if they were protecting the city itself from adversaries.

The people travelling through the gates too were varied. There were the normal merchant and adventurers you had seen on your journey to Olodeen on the roads thus far. But here, there were many more people dressed in white robes, or at least robes that heavily emphasized white. So too were there knights in full armor, wielding large weapons and shields. At the gates themselves were many of those knights, keeping watch on the travellers, and many of them going up to each of the travellers, talking and questioning them. There didn't seem to be any formal line, and you also noticed that those who were wearing the white robes, or were armored like knights didn't receive much questioning at all.

"The City of Saints." Efrit echoed the words of the passing adventurer, Flynn, your group had met earlier that day. "I'm sure it's supposed to be a city of salvation. The irony that three from our realm of Roshandan, home of demons, would march here in the hopes of saving our own." Efrit glanced towards you.

"You ready, my princess?"

QuoteFor historical records. I might format it nicer at a later date.

"Hero!" A pretty young girl said who was most defintely in some sort of cosplay. She was on short, perhaps 5 ft. tall, but wearing clothing that was absolutely too revealing and frilly. Her hair was a pretty weird color too, more than likely, it was a wig. "Please save us from the demons!" I raised an eyebrow. I swear I was just reading something just like this moments ago.

One moment I was reading first volume of Overlord, and the next thing I knew, a truck had swerved off the road crushing poor little me in the process. I was enjoying my day off too! Next thing I know, some girl is asking me to help save them?

"My name is Calanthe Lefevre, once a student of the Idorian Magic academy a decade ago, but now an adventurer."

I would have paid her more attention to whatever she was saying, but notifications kept scrolling in my view.

"And you are a hero."

Oh, I'm the protagonist?
3poll: 1 = Introduce myself | 2 = Question why I'm here, question who she is, question question! | 3 = Ignore her for a moment and look around

"Wait, wait, wait. One second Ms. Cosplayer." I said as I held up my index finger straight up in a 'hold please' motion.

"W-well... What? Why? What's your name anyways?" She asked. I ignored her. I need to take a look at my surroundings first after all, first rule in any RPG.

Now that I think about it, it was rather dark in here. The ceiling full of stalagmites, and a simple glowing coming from the girl was really where most of the light was coming from. There was a set of glowing runes all around me on the floor, that seemed to be quickly fading.

It looked like a pretty normal cave to me apart from that.
3poll: 1 = Introduce myself | 2 = Question why I'm here, question who she is, question question! 3 = Leave the cave and start looking around

I very well knew that first impressions were perhaps one of the most important things in the social dance, so, without further adieu, I stared back at the cosplayer with the most intense and smoldering look I could manage.

"First, Ms. Cosplayer, why am I here?" I asked directly.

"C-cosp-layer? What does that even mean? But I told you! You are to save us from the demons! Weren't you paying attention!"

Wow. Talk about rude.

"Even if your world was in danger, who decided you had the right to pull me into it. Have you ever thought that I would be sitting right at home, enjoying my own life... Then wham! I'm suddenly some sort of hero, expected to do all these things I didn't sign up for? Give me a break!" I didn't actually mean to be put her in a hard spot, actually, I was pretty excited. Plus I already died back on Earth. Lastly, I read enough Isekai novels to know where this was going. For that matter, I have some sort of cheat power don't I?

"Well..." The girl's eyes drooped down.

Oh God, this girl's more sensitive than I thought.

"Well... We understand... But the Guild will compensate you well! We'll make sure you have an amazing life here. We'll get you absolutely anything you'd need..!"

"Anything? Alright. How about the next season of Log Horizon? How about the Saber figurine I ordered a week ago? How about the next episode of One Piece? You know I was supposed to be graduating soon, are you going to get me my diploma and the career too?"

The girls face scrunched up in all sorts of confusion. I didn't actually care for most of it. Well, minus the Saber figurine of course. But I always wanted to spout those lines anyways. Most of these other stories I've read, except for a very few are always so happy-go-lucky with their new-found reality.

"... I don't know about any of those things. But... we can get you money, and treasures, and uhh... girls if that's your thing. Maybe... me, too?" She stammered looking down.

"You? Who are you anyways? So far, all I know is that you're a cosplayer."

At this she brightened up.

"Like I said..." She started to repeat, this time a bit more carefully. "My name is Calanthe Lefevre, I along with other mages of the Guild were tasked to find summoning circles like these spread throughout the lands, and summon forth heroes like you. They've already destroyed my home, the Idorian Academy... and as the days go by, more and more land and lives are lost. The nations of this world have banded together to fight them, and it's these heroic summoning circles that have kept us going. You're a hero too. If you say 《Status》 you'll know what I mean."
3poll: 1 = Introduce myself | 2 = Say 《Status》 | 3 = Question about the Idorian Academy

"Hold up!" I said again, raising my index finger in a 'wait' gesture. "What you meant to tell me is that there's a magic academy somewhere called the Idorian Academy, and that you used to be from there? Were there lots of girls? Because I'm pretty sure I read this manga already."

The girl continued to give me a perplexed look. "There's an equal amount of boys and girls, both young and old. But it's not like we differentiate or anything."

"But you said it was destroyed, right? So... Are you all adventurers now?"

The girl shook her head. "Most of us, yes. As an Idorian mage, we're taught the summoning ritual where it used to only be known be a select few. Our high mage, the fire saint, Eloise Renaud declared that and had begun driving all mages to study and learn it. In the end though... Since our country was on the borders to the demon country to the south, they eventually made it to the academy, and we were forced to flee."

She sighed sadly.

"I was just started my training when it all happened. After the academy fell, I went with the rest of the survivors to the neighboring country up north, and it was there that we tried to maintain a semblance of a life. Some of the old teachers tried to recreate a smaller academy, though, it's far from how our original one was."

I wasn't really expecting a big a story as this, so in the end all I could do was nod. "Well, go on, tell me more."

"Our old academy... think of a city? Next... think of a giant wall surrounding it, along with a powerful barrier. One that we haven't been able to really replicate at all since. Next think of this city as full of nothing but scholars, books, and mages. Every one of us were capable of using magic. We had magitools, and we were the envy of the world. Now though... the rest of us are simply travelers and adventurers. But thankfully, there is a small community of us left. It's just... well... it's sometimes a tough reminder."

《Chapter 12: Idyllic Days》
Location: Klein's Estate
Date: Day 10 - 1 PM

When you finally left, you ensured that Falah was fast asleep. The day's drama or perhaps the fact you were comforting her made her sleep soundly even though it was just about afternoon. Lunch was already being served, with most people finishing up. When Trudy noticed you, she quickly pulled out what looked to be a tray of food.

"How was it?" She asked as she put the tray in front of you. After you pick it up, or not, she would either put it to the side and then pick up a second tray.

"I usually hand Falah her lunch and then from there we decide if she would like to help clean up. The dishes or other things mainly." Trudy explained.

You also noticed the Valkyrie sitting on a chair, sipping away at tea. She had her eyes on you, but simply kept a silent watch.

The road from here to the guild-protected dungeon was a safe one that had many travellers moving back and forth. It looked like the road to the dungeon was part of the main road heading eastwards, however there was a considerable less amount taking the fork of the main road to the dungeon. This only made sense since apart from the dungeon and surrounding forests, there was little reason to use that particular road. You had passed by groups of travellers, people with wagons and their guards, farmers bringing in their goods to the market this morning, and adventurers coming back to the city. It was well-patrolled simply due to the fact of the traffic.

Soon enough you made your way to the dungeon. There were signs pointing the way, and soon enough Kurt pointed over to a hill with a small path leading towards it. He explained that this was the guild's beginner dungeon. It wasn't much of a dungeon, only providing three rooms, but it gave beginning adventurers a taste of what true dungeon delves were like. According to Kurt, this particular dungeon appeared shortly after Bursteig was transported to the new world. Adventurers had already reported that it was a rather small dungeon, so the guild decided to 'adopt' it as a staging one for beginners.

The entrance to the dungeon was about what you expected. There was a cavern entrance from the hill that seemed to go down further, along with a sign on there. It was written in the country's language, but the letters and words were automatically translated to you.

《Chapter 12: Rescue Operation》

Quote"Where I'm from 200 people isn't many, but here it is an entire village that rely on each other to live. We can't just leave them to die."

"Great! See, we should have done that in the beginning!" Amie said victoriously. A moment later in a quieter voice she continued. "Thank you, though."

QuoteJean knelt down to the level of the girl that offered to carry him.  "If I can be carried into battle then I will take it.  Thank you."

When you knelt down and looked at the young girl, she seemed to blush a bit.

"I umm... umm... You're umm... welcome." The young dragon girl said. Valeriya, the dragon girl in red spoke to Jean next.

"Alyona's still a bit too young for the ceremony, she shouldn't even be near the demons... But..." Valeriya stared hard at Jean. "Don't let her get hurt." Her visage softened a moment later.

"She's still an annoying brat, but she's still my closest sister."

Quote"How defensible is the village?  I'm sorry to say this but if it can't be easily defended then we will probably need to evacuate it.  If we must evacuate then we should bring empty wagons to save as many villagers and their possessions as possible.  If it can reasonably be fortified then we need to bring supplies.  We can't do both. I know this is a hard decision but you need to make this choice for your people.  If they need to be evacuated, there might be room for them on the island.  I cannot make any promises.  The wind temple plans on returning to the skies so it would be up to the dragon knights to guarantee your safety.  I do not know if that is possible."

Amie thought about it for a few moments.

"The village is surrounded by trees, with a road from its north to southern end. There isn't much in terms of defense... We were never close to the demons, and there were forts filled with soldiers." Amie then glanced towards the flying temple, her eyes had a bit of wonder.

"Can we... Can we really go up there with them?"

"Our camp can handle another 200 refugees, but not for too long... We'll have to get supplies from the city, or even have them evacuate there. We're no stranger to refugees if we our country has to take them in..." He shrugged as he followed Amie's gaze. "It would be pretty sweet to see the temple up close though. Amie, you interested in seeing what's up there?"

"W-well... I mean it's pretty cool. I'm not sure though... I'd go where-ever the rest of my family is though."

《Chapter 2: Velothia Online》
Location: ???
Date: ???

Permanent death felt different than what you were expecting. You felt something hard beneath you as your arms were folded on top of each other with your head down resting in them. You started to stir awake, and that was when you realized that it was a wooden table. Smooth and clean, the table itself looked blemish-free, but gave you the impression that furniture helped with the general atmosphere of comfort. The light around the area was a soft yellow, bathing the entire room in its warm light.

From a cursory glance, you realized that the room you were in had two parts to it. One was open and had a variety of different bar games such as pool tables, darts, and even some arcade machines.

The other side held what looked to be the bar-area of the room. You noticed a variety of alcohol bottles lines up against a wall, with tools that made up the bar stool. You yourself sat on one of the stools, though it was placed around a circular table instead. There was a mad with blonde hair wearing an outfit reminiscent of a cowboy, with a noticeable white feather stuck on his hat that looked towards you.

But it was someone else in the room that caught your attention the most.

[exclude u=463]It was Lucy.

The last thing you remember was your train crashing, or perhaps hitting something. You remember clearly seeing Lucy dead as you vainly tried to bring her back to life. You remember seeing the eight red-glowing crystal-like eyes of the pink-hued metallic spider. Next, you remember your blood falling on Lucy extending and reaching into Lucy's eyes. Lastly you remembered your eyelids starting to feel heavy as you finally lost consciousness.[/exclude][exclude u=462]It was Josh.

The last thing you remember was feeling weightless and suddenly smashing into a pole as you felt something in your spine snap. You had blacked out immediately after, but for whatever reason, you currently weren't in pain. You remember something else then, hazy memories of standing back up in the rubble of a ruined train. The memories were hard to reach, but you thought you remembered seeing some sort of metallic creature.[/exclude]

Where-ever this was. This wasn't back on the ruined train. In fact, it felt calming here. There was a strange warmth to the entire room that you couldn't quite place your finger on. The man who had been watching the two of you finally spoke up.

"Howdy!" The man grinned. "I see you've woken up. Had pleasant dreams?"

《Chapter 7: The Wind Priests of Velothia》

"Amie is your name? Fear not child, a dragonknight scout had been sent to your village to check on it. Both the location of your village for the rest of the riders, and to also confirm how many demons there are."

She looked upwards.

"The Wind Temple Priests may be able to help as well." The elder then looked back towards Amie. "Sit here with me, Amie." The Elder said as she herself took a seat on an outcropping, then patted a spot next to her.

That action took Amie by surprise. She likely never expected to be offered a seat next to a dragon, much less an elder one.

"This isn't some weird way to get my guard down is it?" Amie said hesitantly.

The elder frowned, but she continued to pat the spot, and Amie eventually decided to sit beside her. Her cheeks had a slight tinge of pink to them, and you can tell that the little girl was uncomfortable as she sat stiffly next to the woman, staring at the ground nervously.

Soon enough the temple above lowered even further, and now that it was up this close, you realized then that it wasn't just a single island. It was multiple islands kept together by giant ropes and bridges. Each island floated on its own. The closest island to the peak also happened to be the one that hovered the lowest, and this one had an array of people clothed in brown and white robes waiting eagerly for the landing.

Once the island was close enough, a long bridge that acted both as stairs that came down was lowered. The group nearest to you looked to be clothed differently than the rest. There were two of them however who caught your attention the most. One was a purple-skinned woman who seemed to be a cross between an octopus and a human. The upper half was definitely human, but the lower half consisted of tentacles. The other one had long white hair where everyone else on the island seemed to sport green hair. He had a different look about him as well, and the robes he wore seemed to be much more ornate than everyone else's.

Soon enough that group approached, and a young girl with green hair who seemed to be the one leading them spoke up as she raised one of her hands, palm open, towards the Elder.

"Here again as scheduled... Jean, meet the Velothian Dragons." She said.

In response, the white-haired man spoke.

"Hello, oh ancient and mighty dragons of Velothia!  I am Jean Valois: hero extraordinaire!  And this..."  He made a grand gesture towards his companions descending the stairs.  "Is my Enticingly Enviable Entourage!  A pleasure to make your acquaintance."  He said as he approached the taller woman in the regal dress, taking her hand, and bowing before her.  "You must be the elder dragon which I have heard so much about.  If I should be so bold?"  He raised her hand up, pausing just before his mouth.

"The hero of the wind priests?" The Elder said as she nodded in approval. "I'm glad our human companions in the skies have summoned there's. I am the Elder of the dragons here on Mount Velothia." She then gestured towards you.

"This one is the hero summoned here on Mount Velothia just a week ago." The Elder continued, her eyes flashing towards you.

Before you could respond however, the white-haired man spoke.

"Please, call me Jean.  I don't suppose you have a name I could call you by?  I do not mean to offend or come off as overly familiar but Elder is so formal and reminds me too much of the stuffy old folks that summoned me to the island, hardly fitting for someone as ravishingly beautiful and youthful as yourself."  He said as he raised form his bow.

The Elder blinked a few times, while Valeriya and Alyona beside her both dropped their mouths. Eventually the Elder laughed. A gentle and warm laugh as she gave into her moment of mirth. This only seemed to confuse the other two dragons around her.

"Words I haven't heard in centuries." The Elder finally said. "Very well, you have earned that much, hero Jean. Before I was the Elder, I was called Vasillisa."

"Vasillisa...  A beautiful name for a beautiful creature.  Thank you for the honor."

Jean then turned to the other hero and bowed again, hand over his breast.  "Hail noble hero and well met.  Tell me, what is that strange device on your back?  Is it some kind of exotic maul from your homeland?"

《Chapter 1: Final Stop》

Location: United States - New York City - Eastchester Dyre Ave 5 Train Station
Date: Year 2098 - December 14th - 9:31 PM

Inhale.

The sharpness of the air surged through you. It was cold, freezing even, as you felt keenly the cool air fill your lungs. You watched small clumps of snowflakes continue to fall from the night sky overhead, along with singular and beautifully symmetrical snowflakes mixed in with them. Those that landed on your jacket quickly melted, showcasing their ephemeral nature. It had been exceptionally colder in the last few days, but it looked like that it was tonight that the first bits of snow finally started to come. None of it was sticking, this was the first snows of the winter after all. But you suspected in another hour that it would start to cover the rest of the city with a thin layer of snow. Perhaps even after that, a thicker blanket would gently cover the city. The forecast today did say that tonight would be the start of a string of wintry weather.

Exhale.

Your clouded breaths filled the space in front of you. Warding off the cold, you bundled up well. So at the very least, standing in the chill air, waiting for the next train to arrive at the station was bearable. But more than the warmth from your clothing, it was the company that made this normally solo trip more enjoyable. Your friend, someone you had known for years, stood by next to you, their breathe as visible as yours in the cold nighttime air. You've met a couple times already during the course of a few years now. This time around just happened to be in the middle of winter, with the expected weather of that season. This time around too, you both had one particular goal.

The new expansion of Velothia Online, a VRMMO that the both of you played, one of the many games and activities that fostered the friendship between you two, was on its way of being released. The game was a popular VRMMO, one of the biggest in the last decade. In fact, it wouldn't be far off to say that this particular game reinvigorated the market for VRMMOs. Since tomorrow was the release date of the expansion, the two of you decided to get the special edition from downtown. This particular edition included some trinkets only obtainable from buying it through the physical store, along with some in-game items, was being sold at a special midnight release. And the two of you had made plans to buy it together.

Soon enough, the train appeared, heading towards your station. There weren't a lot of other travellers at this time of day heading back towards the city. For the most part, it was relatively peaceful, at least for the a city that never sleeps. As such, there was no one else waiting at your particular entry point to board the passenger car.

The train finally stopping, the doors slid open.

None of the imps surrounding you managed to see it. Nor did Zephyrus mention anything. Even with your ability to sense mana keenly, you did not catch it in time. But in front of you, vines and foliage suddenly reached forward.

《Chapter 11: Mount Velothia》
Location: New World - Wind Temple of Velothia - Dalina's Home
Date: Day 7 - Morning

The morning came, and when you stirred awake, you noticed that the slimeling was already up as usual. Gust was with Viridio, who seemed to be teaching the hatchling how to correctly hover in place. Anja was stirring as well, and from the way Ren's tentacles coiled around one of your arms, figured she must be up as well.

As you suspected, Dalina was still dead asleep.
