The fairy digests everything that he has learned. "Well my tiny companions it appears we have at the very least two semi clear paths laid out before us. If this is a linear puzzle then the next logical move should be the next space away from the current locked in place blue stone. So if all of that is true the next place would be one of the southern positions [either south west or south east] opposite of the upraised symbol [Hasa you did not say which side was the upraised rune was in]. The other possibility is that the next gem would be placed into the upraised notch. I would suggest we attempt both courses of action, not necessarily at the same time. So gentlemen feel free to do this with whatever force you deem necessary. As the thinker of this outfit I will observe."

The fairy hovers there and gives a slight giggle, sounding musical in his laughter.

(Sorry about that the raised rune is one the same facing side as the red gem, my bad)

QuoteThe Party
"As you try figure out the puzzle that was left behind by the Horde, you suddenly realize that something is different about the room, it seems as though it is growing larger. The walls creak and groan, some of the panels begin to move, to realign themselves with the next wall adjacent to itself. A hissing noise can be heard coming from all sides."

Please roll a 1d20+INT (Belgi remember you INT is -2 at present)

Throndir

Rolled 1d20-2 : 19 - 2, total 17

Emperor Wilbers

I did 1d20+8 and got: 15+8: 23

The fairy realized that the rules of the game were changing. This was not the time to sit and be idle. His friends had all seem addled by his genius. Well fare enough he was indeed the sharpest one among them. With smile and a nod, Ving flew towards the current stone in waiting.

He leveraged himself by it and attempts to push it towards the upraised pedestal, in hopes that this was a simple fix to very complicated situation.

QuoteRolled INT Check: [1d20+8] 18 = 18 + 8 = 26

QuoteBelgi:
You are no longer under the effects of being afraid.

Wan:
You are uneffected by fear however the changes occuring around the room have, have caused you to become unbalanced (-2 DEX)

Ving:
You shift the gem into what you think is the proper place.

Suddenly the room stops shifting and altering itself. Just as soon as it stops it then begins to spin slowly in a circular motion counterclockwise. It comes to a screeching halt the sound of metal scraping metal, accompanied by a smooth click. The door behind the pedestal opens revealing a exit of some sort. But you suddenly realize that you are not alone as four beady blood red eyes appear in the darkness that fills the open room. "Ssslay them..." you hear.

COMBAT ACTION MODE = ACTIVE
Roll for initiative, and define order of party who is in front who is in back, etc. Use 1,2,3,4 etc. To define who is in what position.

You are currently in combat action mode, however free actions can be used for drawing weapons or changing order of party.

Grid will be posted later today, but for now you can go ahead and establish battle ready positions, you may also prep for spell casting.

Belgi

The strange fear effects that were on him faded. As the beady blood red eyes appear, and the words from a voice resounded in the room, Belgi had again drew his blunderbuss. Though he was probably more strongly built than the others around him, Belgi had always preferred the use of long barrel. With that in mind he positioned himself to the back and to the side, loading his weapon as he did so.

He knew by the time he reached the wall his weapon would be ready to fire.

The fairy marveled at his work, as the door began to open. Though what came next was not really part of how he imagined this happening. He had expected a crowd or perhaps clapping of hands and pats on the back for his genius. Oh well a room full of monsters was surely right next to the top of the list...

"If you gentlemen should need me I will be waiting on the ceiling!"

Ving took air hovering farther above the perdestal seeking refuge in the heights of the room. His hands began to weave and his voice chanted softly, preparing to cast "Magic Missle."

QuoteInitiative [1d20] 6 = 6

[Wow boy this is a lovely start]
