Satisfied with the lack of danger past the southern grate, Rhenri made a passing glance towards Thedrin as she moved to the western wooden door without the glyph on it.

A cautious examination of the door indicates that it is safe. As safe as a door in a wizard's crypt can be. Your search reveals no traps, obvious or otherwise.

Seeing Rhenri inspect the door,  Thedrin went over to it.  "And behold once again, the wealth of the wizard."  He announced as he pushed on the door's handle.

Asta

Despite the age of the door it swings open smoothly on its hinges, revealing a corridor. The hallway takes a sharp turn to the south, likely extending down and past the iron grate Rhenri looked through earlier.

"So much unadorned wall... Where's the tapestries? The statues? Bas reliefs? This wizard might as well have just buried himself in an unmarked grave." Said Thedrin a he walked down the corridor.

Throndir

Rhenri remained quiet as she followed behind Thedrin.

At the end of the corridor you find yet another wooden door. Like everything else you've seen so far in the crypt the door looks un-phased by the passage of time. Pressing an ear to the door to listen beyond, Rhenri hears what sounds like the slow shuffle of feet on stone.

"I hear a slow shuffle of feet on stone." Rhenri whispered her voice barely audible. "Ready?" She mouthed the words but proceeded to lightly play with an arrow to state her intentions.

Trap search on door. Taking 10 if possible. If not, here's the roll:

A quick search of the door reveals no traps.

Thedrin, who had been prepared to push open the door, pulled his hand back at Rhenri's warning. He tightened his grip on his hammer and shield then, looking at the others, declared "Behold the guardians of the wizard's treasures!" before pressing down the handle and kicking in the door.

Asta

Thedrin's boot collides with the door with a solid thud, swinging quickly open on its hinges where it clatters against the wall with a loud crash. Inside a pair of rotting human corpses, previously shuffling around aimlessly, whip their heads in unison toward the sound. Their jaws open, distending in an unnatural manner to reveal mouths full of decaying teeth.

"UuuuaaaAAAAAAAAAAAUUUUuuuhhhh~!!!" they moan together, forcing putrid air from shriveled lungs past what little remains of their vocal cords.

Roll initiative.
