QuoteI still need my viper's DM hp roll too, Thron. (And I mean NEED, I did horrible)

After being sure that everyone was out of immediate danger, Uthaal makes a quick search of the room, seeing what the gathered cultists were doing here.

Uthaal
Looking around the area, you do not notice anything out of the ordinary. Perhaps they were some sort of door guard. At the very least the two orcs who had once stood side by side at the entrance looked to be so.

Linwelin

At this observation, Uthaal simply states, "We should press on once everyone feels they can. Personally I would like to see some of the more injured among us get some rest, but..."

After trailing off his statement, he walks cautiously up to the doorway, ready to attack, but seemingly lost in thought a little. For those that can see them, his eyes seeming conflicted, doubtful, but still very determined.

Tebastion watched the final enemy once again fall and once again they were victorious. The Centaur felt almost a sense of elation as those gathered around him had once again prove themselves in battle, even the bloodmage had given his all, literally passing out from the use of his ill gotten magic; whether this was from a pure unadulterated sense of self preservation or actually in some way being concerned about the welfare of the group, the Paladin didn't know. Though all things considered it didn't really matter they had won, and he prayed that all their battles would be thus and such. He watched as the others examined the remnants of the dead, though he knew it was necessary this time he did not participate in the venture.

As the group walks on further. They notice the incline of the tunnels to continue on lower. Your footsteps echo as you descend deeper and deeper into the caverns. You hear the sound of a slight dripping of water dropping into a small still pool save for the small waves created on each impact of a water drop. The light your party noticed earlier is brighter now, and suddenly an eerie crimson-colored glow rises from the passage ahead.

Uthaal looks over the group as they walk, disappointed in himself for not being prepared enough. I'm supposed to be our healer, yet even with this break I can do nothing...we're tired and injured, some of us almost unable to function, yet we have to press on.

"May the gods be with us this day." Uthaal mutters under his breath as he continues to walk. He begins to grip his forearm, the sacred wounds telling him to be steadfast and at the ready. We must not fail this day!

QuoteGoing to try to move the story along daily/every 3 days depending on workload. Combat rounds on the other hand are daily.

Moving slowly the party sees the source of the crimson-hued light. The glow came from the walls itself. Scrawls and scribbles appear in what looks like glowing blood. The symbols resemble some sort of writing or language, but although this is no language you know, the text seems so infuriatingly familiar. Suddenly you realize that the symbols are moving, alive almost, crawling slowly across the walls and floor. Whether you stare or avert your eyes, you are overcome with the feeling that you might be able to force the wall to reveal its secrets to you, if only you put your mind to it.

Recognizing that he was worse for wear with injuries Haru accepted this fact and stayed more to the center of the party. The elf whispered, "This place does not bode well, let us find our companions with haste and be gone from this foul place." While the party moved at a slower pace Haru took the time to attempt to decipher the script upon the walls.

Haru
Staring at the gylphs, you realize that they are names. Though, not only did they capture the identity of the individual, but also their spiritual essence. You realize that these are the very souls of individuals, likely the cultists that you had found earlier, long dead from whatever rituals these people do. There was a multitude of names, each of them still slowly crawling on the walls and floors.

Throndir

Walking past the strange red-glowing words you see what looks to be a room. Nearing the area you realize that the floor here was tiled. What caught your attention the most was not the tiles however, it was the pulsing lines of crimson light that formed what look to be a circle. The strange designs felt sinister to you, more so than the designs that covered the walls just behind you.

To the left you see what looks like an opening ot the side, revealing what looks to be some sort of alcove.

Haru quivered with the revelation of what the walls meant. The monk whispered softly, "My friends, the symbols upon the walls are sacrifices, their name, their essence, their very souls are engraved on these walls. And I fear that the deeper we get, the more likely it is we will find the source or alter of their sacrifice. But to what ends..." his words trail off as they come to halt and await Uthaal's companion return.

There were no cultists or any other creature in the room. The only thing that's easily noticeable was the swirling patterns on the floor.
