Oath

"We haven't tested it beyond my own weapon and Charles', but so far in this world, I have never felt like I have reached the limits of what I can do with my magic. I would say that it would be possible to do at least 50 weapons per day, if not a greater number. I also have learned that I can use magic to heal wounds, after saving Braxton's life in the encounter with the demon. So far I have only been able to give weapons a coat of flames, but I'm sure that we could figure out how to apply a different element that might be more effective against the demons. Perhaps you may have some advice on what our course of action should be?"

Throndir

"You can heal wounds? You are gifted with Light magic?" At this even the Elder spoke in an admirable tone. "Even for one such as I, the domain of Light magic or Darkness magic is beyond my reach."

"This gives me more to think about... With the number of ancient magic items you would bring... Well, rather, items that seem like the ancient items of old... Rosalie... You need to find out in what capacity you're able to enchant weapons. Find out if they are indeed permanent."

"I'm surprised Captain Charles didn't jump for joy when you first gave him his weapon, and especially when he realized it was still lit and enchanted." She paused for a moment. "I have an idea... Surprise him with a stock pile of weapons the next time you see him. All enchanted, of course." She said smiling.

Oath

"I think the only way to find out if they're permanent is to wait. I enchanted this sword eight days ago and it is still ablaze, so if it isn't permanent it lasts for a long time. Flames don't seem like they would be the most effective thing against the demon, do you have any request for what to imbue weapons with? I'll see what I can do to make it possible."

Rosalie wasn't sure where to go from here, but it seemed like optimism was returning to the elder, about the hopeless feeling of the situation.

Throndir

"Depending on the demon, they can have various amounts of resistances. But... It is said that Light magic has proven effective against them, more so than the traditional elemental magic. If you are able to heal through the element of Light, perhaps you're able to use spells of Light as well? And enchantment?"

Oath

Rosalie rested her chin on her hand. "I am unsure, I haven't tried it yet but that is an experiment that would be worth conducting. I think that we need every advantage we can get, if what we saw out in the forests was just a sample of their power. Is there anything else I should know about the demons?"

Throndir

"Demons generally are resistant to most forms of damage. There are times when some of them are not... But one of the reasons that make them tough is the fact that only Light magic can effectively deal with them. Otherwise, one would have to be a very powerful caster to harm them."

"There are all sorts of demons... Ones that burrow under the ground, ones that fly in the air. Their skins range from red hues to gray or blue. Apart from that, they are mostly a mystery... Once you kill a demon, their corporeal form only lasts for perhaps a half hour at most before dissipating."

It was at that moment that you saw a small blue dragon heading towards you from the skies. The dragon looked familiar.

"Mommy!" The dragon said, as it flapped its wings, making your hair blow back from the gust. When it landed, it turned into its human form.

"And ummm... hero Rosalie..." It was Alyona.

"But ummm... Mommy! There's this giant rock flying towards us!"

Oath

"It seems demons are pretty diverse. I hope we  can figure out a way to overcome them.

Rosalie saw Alyona, and looked up at her warning, trying to avoid the incoming rock.

Looking up at the skies, you saw something small in the distance. You had to squint as well, but you couldn't quite make out what it was.

You felt Valeriya's hand on your shoulder as she moved closer to you.

"Don't forget we're contracted now, Rosalie." She said grinning. "Let me help you."

Once she said those words, you were able to see much more clearly and sharply. The object in the distance was indeed still small, but it wasn't quite like a rock. In your eyes, it looked more like a flying mountain, or perhaps a flying island.

QuoteThis was only alluded before, but you have a sort of 'skill share' whenever Valeriya lets you, or whenever you trigger it yourself. In D&D terms, you can get to use her own skill modifiers for your own rolls if you desired.

The Elder glanced towards that direction as well, and she patted Alyona's head.

"Fear not young one. You've met them before too." She then turned her head towards you and smiled.

"Those are the Priests of the Wind Temples of Velothia."

Oath

"What are the priests coming for? Are they training too?" Rosalie was confused, she'd never seen a flying island before.

"They restock here once a year, and we usually update them on the news of the war. They too have their own summoning hero ritual, and like ours, theirs should have been close to having enough gathered energy to use."

"Hopefully when they arrive here, they would have finished their own hero summoning ritual."

"It shouldn't be much longer until their island arrives."

Oath

"So I might be meeting another hero? It would be fantastic if we could team up to solve this problem. While on the topic, do you know about how many soldiers I would need to make weapons for? Trying to plan ahead a bit and see what I can do to help the war effort, even if I'm not on the front line." Rosalie was excited to see what she could do to help people. It was all still strange but she was trying to embrace her role.

Throndir

"Most of the dragonknights are already on the front lines. But if you're talking about the people down in the Dragonknight camp below. There are about 200 trainees altogether. Only what you've seen during the oath ceremony last week have dragons with them however. The rest are trainees who were either unlucky enough to not be selected for the ceremony, or are waiting their turn next year."

Quote25 Mounted Dragonknights
200 Unmounted Dragonknight Trainees

"I should be able to easily arm the dragonknights that have dragons within the day, assuming that there isn't a big event. I should be able to arm the rest within a week, though we may not have that much time. How much longer until that island arrives?"

Rosalie is going to attempt to summon 30 long swords.
