"Oh here we go!  Nice!"  Exclaimed Jean as he brandished the magical blade.  Now was the time to strike.  Jean commanded the tentacles to once again divide between striking and entangling the demon.  He gripped the summoned sword in both hands and leaped up to try and draw the blade across the shoulder blades of the demon.

The three tentacles attempted to trip the demon, the but the large creature was too strong and dextrous, and was able to avoid the incoming trip attempts. The next three tentacles attempted to slap at him, however, only one hit, and even that didn't seem to do much damage.

Finally, you were able to find a place to strike, and you managed to hit it. Its hide was thick, but you also noticed a weird aura that seemed to reduce the damage it was taking. However, you could tell that the fires on the blade did damage it, but even that looked like it was resisted.

The demon continued its assault. All three attacks hit, and one of your tentacles was so bruised up you were surprised it was still moving.

"Oh Earth! Gather and Transform! Become a tremendous power to pierce my foes! Stone Shears!"

"Damn... Still not making much headway."  Jean was trying to think of a better option.  There had to be something he could do to take down the demon.  He could feel the vitality of the tentacles dwindling with every attack by the demon.  I can't keep this up...  He thought about what he knew he could do and what he hadn't been able to try before the demon had made it.  I can't die here... Not again...  Again...  His mind went back to what he saw when he was drowning in the ocean.  There were tentacles the size of buildings then.  He needed one of those not to fight, just to make one devastating blow against the demon.  "This might be a reach but... SUMMON TENTACLE!"  He yelled the keyword and reached out with his mind as he raised the fiery sword overhead, pointing it at the moon.  He could see what needed to happen: a single massive tentacle descending from the sky to crush the demon.  He willed the tentacles already present to entangle the demon in preparation.

Free Action: Instruct all 6 tentacles to trip the demon

Full Round Action: Summon a single tentacle temporarily to make an attack against the demon and then dissipate using the maximum amount of MP available.

Heroic Action Point Gained
You willed the tentacles to attempt to trip the demon. They attempted to wrap themselves around their target not a moment later. The first one zooming in from the left, but the large demon punted it to the side, hard. That tentacle stopped moving. As if realizing the fall of their comrade, the remaining tentacles stepped up their pace. They circled around the demon, darting in and out. A second one came in, aiming for its legs. The demon stepped out of the way, only to face two more. It roared as it tried to hold its ground against the two. Suddenly another tentacle came in. It thought it could shake it off like it did before, but when the last tentacle came speeding in, aiming for its legs, did the demon finally find itself falling.

At the same time, something was coming from the sky.

It was majestic. As if the heavens themselves presented you a gift: one made out of fleshy appendages and sticky suckers. Just like the few you had summoned before, this one resembled them, and yet there was one big difference. This was at least 10 times the size of the first one you had summoned. Its fleshy body glistened in the moonlight, as if on cue flashes of lightning and the roar of thunder resounded in the area.

The winds around it whistled as it pointed itself like a coiling needle straights towards its target; the demon.

Struggling to get free, the demon roared again, realizing the giant appendage literally falling from the heavens itself.

"P-Please... Please tell me you made that... that thing!" The mage girl shouted, reflexively pulling down on her skirt.

The falling tentacle pulled back, heaving its monstrous arm up in the air. Closer and closer it sped towards its target, and when it was perhaps 50 ft. above the demon, a purple magical glow appeared from its thick end, anchoring and  holding the tentacle in place midair, and moments after that, an arm whipped across the heavens.

You felt your body get heavy then however. It was worse than the feeling you had when summoning the second set of tentacles.

Your vision started to get hazy. Darkness started to loom at the edges of your vision. You couldn't keep your eyelids open any further, and as you drifted into unconsciousness, you could barely register a voice.

"Hero? Hero!"
