The artificial beach was the location many of the students decided to go to, after all, many of them have yet to see the now-opened beach. Of course, this was technically supposed to be a sort of reserve for the Pok?mon, but it didn't stop the students to going straight to the vacation-like spot. Surprisingly enough, the sun was beating down, and it was indeed starting to feel warm, but whether it be from technology or some other method, there was a continuous breeze coming from the lake, and the waves too continued to splash large and forcefully as it if were the real thing.

When the first rush of students came, the few Pok?mon that were there scattered away. An hour later of searching, and more than a couple giving up, soon enough some students found a pack of them. Hiding behind a few large rocks, they took care not to alert their potential prey. They wouldn't blunder like the first time around after all.

QuoteStealth required to approach or reposition trainers.

Grey does his best once he reached the beach to stay relatively calm. This was the first time that he had ever tried capturing his own pokemon after all.Scanning the scene before him he attempted to find a quarry that he might be able to catch. That was when he saw him from behind his hiding place. A cute slowpoke trying his best to fish in the pond. That particular pokemon were not known for their high movement nor really caring very much about the world around them. They tended just to mind their own business and let things just happen too them.

A perfect first attempt.

Standing up from where he had been kneeling. He through Himiko out into the lake from a safe distance then signaling to the slowpoke to cut off its escape if it tried to jump into the water. He then began casually walking up to the Pokemon in full view showing that he meant no harm. If he could get up close and use what he had learned as a groomer perhaps he did not even have to fight at all. Or the slowpoke would just not realize it was in a poke ball till it was to late.

The student was one of the first people to arrive at the beach. In fact, the other students must have thought that he wanted the Pok?mon. But instead of that, and as the students dissipated away to look for Pok?mon. Kedric simply pulled out a shovel from seemingly out of nowhere, and began shoveling away with vigor. After all, this was the beach, and what better way to spend the time at the beach than one's favorite past time after all?

Kedric had this irresistible urge to simply continue digging, and pretty soon the soft sands gave way to harder earth, but he still kept at it, creating a ditch to even impress the most stalwart of hole-critics. For indeed, Kedric believe what he was creating was glorious.

"HAHAHAHAHA!"

One hour later.

The sun was beating down, and already Kedric had started to feel the warmth of the sun just a bit too keenly and it was then that he heard some shuffling above. As he peeked out, he saw one of his classmates, Garret, he believed his name was, casually approaching a Slowpoke. But not only that, there looked to be a whole lot of them! Kedric grinned as he realized the large mounds of dirt he created acted as the perfect entry to hide his approach.

Pulling Sandshrew's Pok? Ball out, he made a dash to the seas. He hoped Garret would be good enough of a distraction to at least hide the first bits of his movement.

Spoiler
Kedric moves West max Overland speed of 6 meters. Then releases Sandshrew 8 meters West from that. Right into the water. He should have swim. XD

The slowpoke did indeed seem to be in its own little world, poking at the water from its position on a rock. It paused for a moment in its movements, staring out into the water, before it 'hopped' and began to wiggle its paw a little more vigorously in the water. It must have spotted something it liked. So engrossed in what it was doing, it failed to notice as you moved closer to it.

Kedric
Kedric seemed to go completely unnoticed by the Pok?mon, including a Shellos that had been playing in the water before it noticed the Feebas swim by. Noticing where the Feebas was headed, it saw the human walking up behind the Slowpoke on the shore. Squeaking a warning cry, it turned to swim away.

Other Stuff
The small group of Wingall on the far side of the beach heard the Shellos' cry and took flight, calling out their displeasure at being disturbed. A Nosepass that had been near the Wingall paused, unsure if the bird Pok?mon were upset with it or something else. The creepy two headed hand thing does creepy stuff and the Sandile crawls into the beach's sand.

As Sandshrew appeared beside the Shellos, Kedric called out.

"DIGGER! SWIM! I BELIEVE IN YOU!"

Getting close up to the slowpoke Grey takes out of his bag the groomer kit he had bought. And begins to gently brush down the wild Pokemon to attempt to build a friendship. Since it uses its tail to fish Grey figured that the Slowpoke would have noticed him by this point, but simply not wanted to move.

Himiko simply waits under water if the slowpoke gets scared with a splash.

The Shellos failed to notice that there was a Sandshrew coming up from another direction until it was too late and is hit by Poison Sting. It tries to retaliate with an attack of its own but misses.

Grey
As you get closer you realize the Slowpoke is looking directly at Himiko. It appears that is what excited it before and might possibly be poking at the water to play with her. It freezes when you begin to brush it and slowly turns to look at you and fear briefly flashes through its eyes. As you continue to brush its fur, however, it relaxes and lays its head down on the rock to enjoy the feeling of the brush stroking its fur.

Other Stuff
Still cawing in displeasure, the flock of Wingull circle the area before flying away. The Nosepass watches the Wingull at first, but soon notices what is going on further down the beach and turns to flee. The Sandile remains still under the beach sand, hoping none of the humans or their Pok?mon notice it. The creepy two headed hands for heads creature continues being its creepy self, though maintains a distance from the humans. Perhaps it is trying to intimidate them into stay away?

Seeing the enemy attack back, Kedric dove into the water, swimming towards his target.

"DIGGER! HOLD ON I WILL SAVE YOU!" Right after saying those words, he throws a Pok? Ball at Shellos, after Sandshrew's next attack.

"Hey buddy, You like how that feels? You wanna come join my team? He asked after he had partially brushed down the Slowpoke. "You seem friendly and I'm sure Himiko would be more then happy to play with you lots. We can go on all kinds of fun adventures and i'll brush you down all the time."

He continued his work as well as he could. Hoping that he might be able to win over the wild pokemon without even fighting at all. Reaching into his pocket he grabbed one of his free pokeballs down in the sand next to the creature to show that he was not going to be making the first move this time round.

Digger's attack hits, dealing another 16 damage to the Shellos! The Pok?ball hits the Shellos, sucking the water Pok?mon inside before falling into the water. You can only assume that it stabilized, however, as the ball sunk below the surface of the water before you could confirm its capture.

Grey
The Slowpoke seems to have ignored your words as it continues to lay there. After setting the ball down and looking back at the Pok?mon you see a large snot bubble coming out of its nose as it breathes in and out. It appears the Slowpoke relaxed enough to feel okay with taking a nap while you are there.

"Well then,I'll take that as a yes," Grey smiled as he poked the sleeping Pokemon with the ball knowing that for a slowpoke to sleep like that then he must be willing.Grey looked out at the ocean and smiled things may not go so badily here. With their resources this might be his bigges chance of growing with his pokemon.
