Letina Rae Desl?geech

Try as she might to convince Blaise to stop attacking the Vulpix, even though the trainer did deserve it, he would not stop. Giving up, and seeing that the boy had tried catching the Houndour she had just failed to catch and also failed, she made one last effort to catch it.

When Blaise's and the Houndour's attacks combined knocked out the Vulpix, Letina wondered what the thief would do. If he had not stolen a Pok?mon that her own Pok?mon had already weakened, then she would have thought that he had come to help. But his thievery brought immediate distrust. That distrust grew when he WIELDED his Honedge. Everyone knew the lore that if you wielded a Honedge, it would suck out your soul. Letina did not know if it was true or not, but any shady character who stole Pok?mon right from other people and wielded their Pok?mon as though they were weapons had to be soulless.

Letina did not wait for him to finish his monologue. She called Blaise to her and ran. She felt bad for the Houndour he had already caught and the Houndour she had left behind to either be caught or killed by him, but she had her own Pok?mon and herself to worry about. Leaving the building, she continued on. She hoped that last Houndour would be okay.

As Aran equipped the Honedge, the both flashed into melee combat with the Houndour. However, just as they had come, the Honudour had been ready as it barely dodged the attacks that came from both Aran and Excalibur. The Honudour snarled, as flames started forming in its mouth, a short moment after that a blast came forth aimed towards Aran and Honedge. Honedge took the brunt of the assault however, though it still wasn't knocked out, it took heavy damage from the fires.

QuoteExp resolved for Letina.

His concentration was almost fully occupied by the foe before him, and so he paid little attention to the girl that had run away. But even he had to admit that she had nicely accomplished a successful hit-and-run, a common Rocket maneuver that was often bungled. It was refreshing, however, to think that even common trainers had adopted their practices, though Aran doubted that Kyuubi would agree.

"Well.. that last attack could use some work." Aran muttered, as his blade absorbed the full brunt of that latest attack. The flames of the black beast had dealt considerable damage after all, almost rendering the blade incapable of further autonomous aid. Instead of a counter-attack, however, his hands instinctively reached to his newly acquired pokeball.

"After the Guardian of the Underworld, I name you Garm," he spoke as he threw the pokeball and the tell-tale red light took form. "As befitting of your new title, your first order will be..."

"To turn on those you once called 'friend.'"

Garm uses Struggle (Grapple)
Aran then uses his standard action to throw a pokeball

When the newly named 'Garm' came out, facing its own companion, it was completely shocked to see his friend facing him, with its fangs still barred. Garm made a whinnying sound as it looked back to Aran and then his previous companion, hesitance in all of its actions. The Pok?mon wasn't sure what to do, Houndour followed a pack mentality, but it still wasn't quite willing to suddenly turn on previous friends.

Garm continued to stand still, but soon enough the decision was taken from him as Aran's Pok? Ball came flying in capturing the last Houndour.

+2 Trainer exp to Aran for capturing Houndour, and forcing it against its friends.
