Skill-Based Healing

A player may choose to heal a person by rolling a Heal check, and passing a DC 15. The amount healed is dependent on the recipient's character level. A specific number of charges of a Healer's kit, based on how high the heal check, is used up in the process (the higher the roll, the less charges used for healing).

Recipient's Level:
1-2: 3 hp
3-4: 5 hp
5-6: 7 hp
7-8: 9 hp
9-10: 11 hp
11-12: 13 hp
etc

Check and charges used
DC 15: 10 charges used
DC 18: 8 charges used
DC 21: 6 charges used
DC 24: 4 charges used

For when we just used it I just had a poor roll, so I think the DC is good as is. However, maybe you could make the kits have 2 uses instead of just single use? Or maybe make how much is used based on the heal check?

And if you need more than whatever charges are left after a successful check, it heals only half of a normal success.

Here's an initial table:
Check and charges used
15 -> 10
18 -> 8
21-> 6
24 -> 4

It doesn't feel right saying you can do a decent heal with only 2 charges, so I stopped at 4.
