Reports have been flooding in from around the world about an increase in the activity of wild Pokemon. A request to all trainers has been sent out: Help return wild Pokemon activity to normal.

Wishlist Extravaganza. Every trainer can request a wishlist battle. DM will roll from that trainer's wishlist specifically, and make a thread for them. Post here with what trainer(s) you're participating with. If you would like to help DM also feel free to volunteer.

The students were kept indoors for their 'safety'. It was already nearing late evening, and everyone sat anxiously waiting for any new announcements.

They were... under attack by Pokemon? Nena could scarcely believe the rumors and whispers being passed around the school. It was unbelievable. Ludicrous even. Increased activity? People were getting attacked? Rampaging Pokemon? We had to stop them? All this was a bit too much for the young nurse-in-training to handle, but her concerns grew even more valid as the school's intercom told them all to be wary of wild Pokemon. Students began telling each other of simple horror tales of rampaging diglet, and ferocious caterpie, some even more out there and hard to believe, yet it only added to the tensity of the situation. Nena couldn't help but feel almost insecure. Almost.

She sighed, she realized that the league or school staff would take care of it. That would be okay, right? There were adults who handled these sorts of things. She wasn't a gym leader who had command of powerful Pokemon nor the skills of such. She wasn't a professor who's vast knowledge of Pokemon would help in cases like these. What could they expect from her? She was a simple student.

As she began to think about the matter further, she realized what she was trying to be, studying at this particular prestigious academy. Medicine, first-aid, nursing, biology - they were all classes helped to teach her future profession. But more than that, and perhaps closer to the mark, her goal was to help people. She was planning to be a nurse, and aren't nurses supposed to be those who help others? Pokemon or human? Helping those in need?

It dawned on her then that her goal was indeed to be the one others can count on. To be there for someone when they needed it. And as the school and students were called to cull the activity, wasn't it also Nena's job to be there with them too? To be at the front lines, ensuring that no one else would be hurt.

All of a sudden there was a yell outside as one of the teachers mentioned that wild Pokemon had entered the school grounds. Someone seemed to have injured themselves.

She heard someone call her name then too as the class began to once again talk amongst themselves, but it fell on deaf ears as Nena's mind continued to whirl with her intense thoughts and the beginnings of a plan. It was then at that moment, almost uncharacteristically did Nena turn towards her classmates, a fire behind her usual calm and gentle eyes.

"We can't let people be hurt. It isn't right." Nena told them, her presence surprisingly commanding.

"I'm not sure why the Pokemon are acting like this... but we have to stop them." She steeled her gaze towards them, looking at her classmates one at a time. Without waiting for any other response, she turned, heading towards the door. Towards where the Pokemon were. She didn't know what would be out there, and by all accounts she could very well be hurt or even injured. But she would go out there and in case someone wanted help - she would be there.

A flash of red light and soon a Vulpix began following.

"Okay Kippy." Nena said as she began picking up her speed, running towards the direction where the commotion form the wild Pokemon came from.

"We can do this." Nena smiled as Kippy let out a yipping sound.

"Lets stop the Pokemon."

Kedric Larns

Kedric grimaced as he rubbed his cheek. Oh yes that attack hurt. He could still feel the sting on his skin, and he surmised that more than likely there would be a bruise there too given enough time. Digger, beside him continued to pant heavily, exhausted was he from the constant fighting.

Today had started off peaceful. In fact, like any other day it started off with digging. And anyone who knew Kedric would realize that digging was certainly Kedric's favorite way of spending an evening. Earlier that day he had heard the alarms, and he recalled hearing about some talk about it as well. But Kedric didn't pay them any heed. He had dug plenty of holes around the campus already after all, and he wouldn't let some inconvenient news disturb his plans. He had planned to go further out of the academy grounds. Somewhere more secluded that he and Digger could relax and enjoy their time digging.

As Kedric's Sandshrew, Digger, beside him took up a stance again, did Kedric realize that perhaps his choice of going out that day wasn't the best. He had fought against Pokemon before of course, even going at them with his bare fists at times, but it wasn't like this. Wild Pokemon attacking him without any reason was something new to the rocket grunt, it was unexpected to say the least.

"Digger..." Kedric said as he looked around him, eyeing the wild Pokemon who circled them. He wasn't sure if anyone else were nearby, and even though he would have never admitted it, he would have been glad to see any other student.

Fayleen Ains

Where was she?

Fayleen hurried from classroom to classroom hoping to find her sister, but to no avail. Even when she went to her sister's homeroom, and asked the people she thought might know where she was, they didn't seem to know. She was the eldest sister, and she felt responsible for Nena. Fayleen was always the adventurous one, going out in the wild and doing things that her little sister would never consider.

"Nena!" She began calling whenever she went went into a new classroom.

But there was never an answer, only curious glances from the students as they stared back. She began to frantically increase her pace, looking through the classrooms a second time in case she missed one. But she could not find any sight of her sister.

She eventually began confronting the students themselves. When her classmates began telling her that they couldn't find Nena she began to worry. That worry only grew more when they began mentioning that she had left. Fayleen tried to dig it out of them, but all she got was that Nena went outside - outside where all the chaos was happening.

The teachers had discouraged them from going out at this time of day, even suggesting that they close and lock their doors. But Fayleen had no choice. Nena was her little sister, and she would make sure her sister was alright.

"Nena I'm coming for you." She said to herself. She sent out her Ralts in front of her then too, quickly scooping her up in her arms when she was close enough.

"Let's find her, Star."

I wanted to setup the scene for my chars a bit, anyone is welcome to join any of em.

Joining in Throndir's setting indirectly.

Dan peered out the window of Xan Academy as the day was nearing dusk. He was placed onto guard duty, monitoring the halls while the students were gathered, briefed, and prepared. He was used to horde activity, but to be this overwhelmed was ridiculous. "Reminds me of the activity during a forest fire...something has them riled up to be this aggressive. What do you think, Bolt?" Daniel turns to address his friend on his shoulder. Bolt himself had fallen victim to the chaos of a natural disaster; it was the main reason they were together now. Being the more instinctive one, seeing Bolt's reaction to the current situation was valuable.

The cat shook its head, not convinced it was purely natural. It seemed that Bolt didn't know what could cause such unrest as well. The two of them watched as injured Pokemon and people began wandering onto the grounds for safety. His nature screamed at him to run out and help all of them, but he was just one man and could only do so much. The nursing staff would do a much better job than he. No, his job was that of a guardian; he had to lead others and adapt to new situations when they arose. It was his job as a teacher. He had to protect his students.

It was just as he affirmed that intention that news of wild Pokemon breaking onto the grounds was announced over the intercom. Soon there would be no time to simply stand in the halls. As there was no way of knowing what would approach, they had to be ready for anything. He had to act.

"Get ready, Bolt. We have some work to do."

Lynne Lockley

Lynne had been spending a quiet evening with her Pokemon, and heard the news. increased activity of wild Pokemon. She didn't think much of it; it wasn't uncommon for wild Pokemon to show up around the academy, or even wander on to campus. But after a while, it seemed to be something more. Every few minutes there seemed to be another announcement. Stay indoors. It's just wild Pokemon, it's nothing dangerous. There have been some injuries... People injured?? Maybe it was bigger than she thought. Activity is rising even higher, we advise all students to stay indoors.

Lynne looked at her Pokemon, they seemed restless, as if they knew something wasn't right. Ruby was pawing at the door, Deckard was bleating uncontrollably, like he had somewhere to be. Pippy was restless, squawking and flapping his wings as he tried to look out the window. Honeydew seemed to be the most calm of the bunch, but even she was a little restless, looking up to the sky through the window. Webzy was clittering in her corner, and even Teddy was ready to go, standing next to Ruby scratching the door. A request for all trainers to help push back this threat...

It seemed things were getting worse. Lynne looked at her Pokemon. She might not be the strongest trainer, but she was a trainer. People were getting hurt, the academy was potentially in danger. If nothing else, Pokemon or not, Lynne had a duty as a photographer to document the incident. She had a lot of friends here, were they okay? What about all the students she had helped in the past? Again, a voice comes over the intercom. There are reports of even more wild Pokemon flooding the academy, students, please stay safe. She could hardly believe it. Every day here was fun and peaceful. She started to pack her things. Primarily her camera equipment, as she hastily stuffed lenses, lighting, and other miscellaneous items into her bag.

She looked around the room at her Pokemon. "Alright you guys, I don't know what's out there. But you guys look like you want to help. Something isn't right so we have to do what we can. Let's go!" She threw open her door and charged out, camera in hand, and her Pokemon in tow.

clicky clicky for pretty sounds

This was not how she'd planned her day. Her plan had been simple, so disgustingly simple, when she'd filled her back and slipped out in the dark of the early morning. She was to sneak out, watch the sunrise, maybe stay and sky gaze until lunch, and return to her dorm. Quick, easy, simple. But as the sun chased away the black of night, painting the sky with the warmth of day, all sense of time escaped her. She lay on her back with the grass tickling her bare skin for hours as orange and pink made way for deep blue, and the clouds began to change their shape. Before she knew it dusk had begun to creep back over the sky, rising along the horizon much like dawn had hours before. Then it happened. A sound, muffled yet distinctive, rose over the silence of the evening leaving her heart lodged in her throat and butterflies dancing in her belly. She knew that sound. It was an intercom system and if that didn't concern her, the muffled shouts coming from the academy certainly did. To add to her concerns night was falling, a fact she'd blissfully disregarded previously, and quickly. Unnerved but determined, Collette clambered to her feet and quickly released Ammy from one of the Pokéballs she'd stuffed into her back that morning. The Vulpix chirped and stretched her legs in appreciation of her freedom. "Hey pretty girl..." she couldn't help the smile that blossomed on her face at the sight of her closest companion "something isn't right, come with me to investigate?" Ammy chirped again, brushing her tails against Collette's calves as if agreeing to accompany her, and with wary steps the two set off.

It wasn't long before the duo stumbled, quite literally, upon freshly dug holes in the earth. After pulling herself from the small hole she'd fallen into Collette and Ammy carefully tiptoed around the remainder. Whoever had dug these was likely still close by. The smell of freshly unearthed soil still clung to the air and as she slipped around yet another hole she heard it, heard him. She could have cried in relief when she heard him but something was... off. She couldn't quite place it but surged forward regardless, hopping over the disturbed earth in an eager dash. It wasn't until she heard his voice again that she realized what she couldn't quite hear earlier. He was in pain. Panic settled in as she bolted for the sound of his voice, praying whoever was just out of her line of sight could hold on just a spell longer. She was almost there! Ammy was hot on her heels as they ducked through a small thicket of trees when, at last, another trainer came into view. He was scratched up and exhausted, much like the Sandshrew at his feet... and completely surrounded!

Skidding to a halt, wild Pokémon now baring her path to the other trainer, Collette couldn't help but stare. Her breathing came in quick pants as time seemed to slow. Wild Pokémon had him surrounded... since when did that happen? Something was wrong here, very, very wrong. Shaking her head Collette tried to muster the most reassuring smile she could manage at the boy before her "you look like you need a hero... sorry you'll have to settle for me instead."
I am not responsible for the insanity that trickles out of my mouth.
