[Closed] New Years Festival

The festivities of the last month was still fresh in everyone's mind. But just around the corner was another batch of activities for the kingdom to share in. It was the New Years Festival, filled with all sorts of games, foods, and entertainment. But for all the other guilds of Ternadan, this event marked the beginning of war. For which ever guild scored the highest number of points in the competition, is marked as champions of the city, and is awarded a sum of gold coins by the city itself - not to mention bragging rights until the next year's round of games.

It was custom for the many organizations to compete head to head in a battle of wits, skills, strength, and ingenuity. This year was no less as the Guild of Galas'nor prepared for the festivities, along with the many other organizations including guards to temple priests to the patrons of the Dragongorge tavern to the shopkeeper union of Ternadan City.

A plethora of events were already being started as neutral judges hired by the city keep watch over the proceedings, keeping track of each individual's progress, score, and points earned for their guild. It was an event that spanned the entirety of the city as everyone prepared themselves for the festival. If not for the friendly competition, than for all the other sights and entertainments the time had to offer.

A long sounding series of melodies whistled out from everywhere in the city, as trumpets flared into life; It was the start of the festival.

This will be a set of different events/threads. The goal of this is to earn "points" for each event. First place earns you a certain number of points, 2nd place a certain number less than first, so on and so forth. At the end the number of points will be compared to the total score of other organizations in the city. This will also be a direct competition with your fellow guildmates. Rewards are given for each event/contest, but the main prize is still only given to the highest scoring guild.

Since this is a rather large undertaking, I'd like to encourage others to create their own mini-events. (Could be simply as a dice roll check once for each player). However, I'll list the ones Lance and I thought of, please vote on the ones you'd like to participate in so I know which events to start first and focus on, you can change your vote anytime.

Events to be voted for
Animal Fighting - Handle animals to make them fight well against each other. Choose your animal and order it to take an action from a list of commands every round in order to bring down your opponent(s). Duels, tag matches, team battles, and even boss fights await your daring critter as it advances throughout its career.
Crafting Contest - Display your creations (craft skill) for the city to see, and judges will decide on the best one. Any "created" item counts. Use you creativity!
Climbing Contest - Race to the top of a man-made wall. But don't slip! Fall down and it's not the end, however. Just grab a snowball and aim at your fellow climbers! Make one fall and you're back in the race!
Dodge the Balls - Progressively larger balls are aimed towards each participant. Don't get hit! But when you do... aim for the survivors!
Food Contest - Eat as much food as you can, and finish before the rest! Choose between eating one, eating two, or even eating THREE whole pieces of food at once, but beware; the more you eat, the higher your chances of becoming "unable" to continue!
Hitting Dummy Contest - See how much damage you can inflict. Three tries, and choose your best one! "Misses" count as an attempt, so don't miss!
Jumping Contest - Can you jump further than the rest? Higher than the rest? Then JUMP-like your life depends on it! Because in this competition, it does.
Swimming Contest - Or... can you swim the furthest? Then enjoy this calm, peaceful pool race-with SHARKS!!
Jousting - Charge with your lance! See how well your riding skill can match with others!
