New rules

1: Arming your ship
-The pathfinder book gives you prices for some base ships, but for the sake of this game you will be required to purchase any weapons that would be used. This includes cannons and weapons used by the crew Incase of boarding by the enemy. Prices will discussed later. Each cannon will have its own advantages and disadvantages, and some will even have special out of combat uses.

2: Maning your ship
-Even the best sailors need a crew. The size is dependent on the size of your ship, but in order to use a ship properly you must meet the minimum required crew count. You must pay for their food, weapons, lodgings, and other things required for survival. The cost for crew and the upkeep of a ship will be listed on the table.

3: Combat
-at some point or another, your ship will come face to face with one or more enemy ships. This is where all the money you put to your ship and training of your crew can pay off. In order to fight with the greatest efficiency, a captain must line their broadsides parallel to the enemy and let the cannon crews take a shot. Cannons can be placed else where, but the sides of a ship are the best place, but sadly the most dangerous to being hit. When your aimed at your broadside, you go with your base AC of the ship. But if someone tries to aiming at you front or back, you gain bonus AC. This AC is equal to your base ac multiples by 2. You can be hit there, but its just a hard shot. If you are hit, damage is increased by and extra 2d10 points that can be included when calculated in critical damage.

-During combat, a ships initiative is based on the roll of the captain.

-Upgrades can be bought for your ship and crew that improve its effectiveness.

-Finally, for any modifiers to be applied to your ship, weather to AC or saves, the modfier is always your profession( sailor). so if you had 10 ranks in profession sailor, you would get a plus 10 to your score.

4: Ships

For the purposes of this rpg, galley ships and warships are able to sail out into open sea. Other ship types will become available after i work them out, and othe rpeople can suggest their own ships for consideration. any upgrades a person would like the purchase will be ether posted here or discussed with a admin if such an upgrade is not on the provided list.
