Lance

It begins.

(panda)

Anyways, good luck on the encounter.

Lance

(panda) Of course ^^ (panda)

...that is if Faus manages to win out past Round 1 xD. There's still a good chance Ryine'd be able end it before the next round can begin.
"A wish? Okay, genie, make me a ham sandwich."

Lance

And so ends Round 1. (EXP reward now increased to 300 from 200)

Phew, that was a bit longer than I expected. A full 18 rounds.
Still, I've a fair idea on what to improve for Round 2.

Looks like you get your wish, Burden
"A wish? Okay, genie, make me a ham sandwich."

Bootman

Can I join the round with Burden?

Lance

#6
Of course! The more the merrier. ^^

And yeah, I'll post the intro abit later, but you guys can go ahead and post how your characters enter the arena from either the left or right side (assume some time has already passed and Round 2 takes place the night following Round 1).

QuoteI'll do the initiatives for Round 2 the same as in Round 1. You can post your initiatives either here or in the IC.

Initiative:
Rolled 1d20+4 : 18 + 4, total 22

First off, I typo'd abit on my latest post in the IC. The 2nd "Hoof1" under the warhorse's damage was meant to be "Hoof2."

Also, I've been reading into the posts and thought a few things were worth mentioning.

Note that you don't need to change your post or anything, just remember that immediate actions (basically swift actions used on another's turn) can't be used when the character is flat-footed. This includes quickened spells, psionics, boosts, and a myriad of other such things. And as a reminder, performing an immediate action before the character's turn would expend his swift action for his coming turn. This is more further explained in the Player's Handbook as well as in a footnote of Complete Psionic (Pg 4).

A character becomes flat-footed when: affected by certain spells, effects, or if they have yet to begin their first turn in the initiative cycle. When a character becomes flat-footed, he loses his dexterity bonus to AC and cannot make attacks of opportunity.

I'm also fairly certain the "flat-footed" effect comes into play when fighting over difficult terrain, but I'm still looking for more credible rulings on this one. If you've more info on this, it'd be greatly appreciated.

Eireleen

I haven't really been keeping up with the thread, but poking my head in anyway, being on difficult terrain doesn't make you flatfooted.

When someone has a surprise attack on you, for example during a surprise round, or if they're attacking from being invisible or hidden, you're considered flatfooted (unless you have Uncanny Dodge). There are also some effects similar to being flatfooted, like Feinting. But difficult terrain doesn't really have anything to do with flatfootedness.

Lance

Ah, that clears a few things up xD

As always, thanks, Eir.

Throndir

I'm taking over Faus tonight or tomorrow if Lance doesn't move soon.

I'm also going to start Round 3 for Tsunkai and Saendal. I'd join again with Annia, but it's not good practice to both DM and play.
