The Goblin Lords Uprising
The 11th day of the month of Darkfrost.
2015 AE, The Reign of Terren II

The uprising took place in the year of 2015 AE. Though there were already tensions between the human kingdom of Korinthia and the southern Goblin bands that spanned for a few decades, it was only until the goblin lords of the time decided to band together and to absolve their differences between customs and ideals that the tensions did rise to a dangerous level.

On the 11th day of Darkfrost, the tensions peaked as scouts and checkpoints across the south of Mt. Hersh reported of an increased movement of the goblins as well as organized arming of themselves and their tribes. Shortly after, almost all the southern checkpoints were attacked and raided simultaneously. The goblin tribes of the south have always been unorganized and in disarray, and it surprised many officials as well as the human towns and villages of the south who were afraid that the suddenly organized goblin tribes might threaten them.

Korinthia was quick to respond, and on the 12th day of Darkfrost, they sent the Topaz Downs City guards, the Silver Arms, as well as various mercenary guilds to help quell the uprising. It should be noted that the Korinthian military was not sent during the conflict as most believed the uprising could easily be quelled by the militia organizations.

The Silver Arms, being able to make use of teleportation gates they have within each City Branch, were the first to quickly assemble their units. They weren?t as many in number as the Topaz Downs City guards, known for it?s almost military-like guarding, and many among the ranks of the Silver Arms were no more than mercenaries, however it should also be noted that many of the Silver Arms who did volunteer for the assignment knew the risks of their mission and were still willing to fight in the conflict regardless.

It was on the 13th day of Darkfrost, when both sides, the Korinthian defenders, as well as the Goblin tribes, had the most conflicts and skirmishes. It was also on this day when scouts and infiltrators as well as a few goblins loyal to Korinthia reported that a Troll by the name of Ugal was the one responsible for bonding the Goblin tribes together, and leading them from disarray that plagues them for decades into a force to be reckoned with.

Ugal, persuading or even threatening the Goblin lords to band, eventually had most of the southern goblin tribes under his control and authority. Unlike most of his kind, Ugal was sharp, quick-minded, and made a capable adversary on the battlefield as a commander, leader, and one who was willing to go straight into the front lines of combat.

The next five days, both the Silver Arms as well as the Topaz City guards made it a priority to take down their leader Ugal, who, in their eyes, was the key to the fall of the Goblin tribes that threatened their southern towns.

The uprising finally ended on the 18th day of the month of Darkfrost, when a small group of Silver Arms had infiltrated the core of the goblin camps, and were able to lock Ugal into combat. When the troll was defeated, the goblin lords surrendered unanimously. Their race already severely diminished from the conflict, and fear as well as suspicion of outsiders appearing again without their leader that quelled them.

The small group of Silver Arms preferred to keep quiet about their accomplishments, and to many it was never known who was actually involved with the fight against Ugal.

There were still a few skirmishes from various tribes who felt they could still accomplish what they set out to do, however in due time, even those disappeared. At least for now, the southern goblin tribes retreated back into disarray and petty fights, and it is unlikely that they will start an uprising again in the near future.
