Markus was at least smart enough to know that he wasn't very. Nonetheless, he was very interested in the riddle and trying to learn what he could about the surroundings of Craftsman's Lane since he made it this far. What do you think Charles, should we give this riddle a shot? Markus mumbled looking down to his chest. After a thoughtful pause he nodded and continued Aye, might be a good chance to exercise the old thinker... things hadn't quite been the same up there since I had that fall from the trapeze. He continued, Good thing you were there to catch me though Charles, saved my life for sure! Markus smiled to himself before starting to walk around investigating the area.

Hang in there Charles, this is getting pretty chaotic! Markus commented to himself as he started moving south towards Serena. Dropping his crossbow then drawing his rapier and whip-dagger, Markus finished, Looks like a change of strategy might be better suited for now!

Markus reloads his crossbow, steadies it. "Yes, yes I know Charles, I should be quite sure of this shot before I take it!" Markus shrugged. "Either way I'm sure we'll upset someone enough to draw that attention you crave soon enough!" as he looked back down the sight.

"Ohhh, ohhhhhh that's just foul!" Markus managed to howl while gasping for breath. The smell reminded him of a disgruntled goblin's left boot discarded on the south end of a hobgoblin's cesspit! While trying to keep his hacking to a minimum Markus continued, "You just... you just don't throw up last month's breakfast everyday Charles! I hope *cough* for your sake taste and smell are not your favorite senses!"

Alright found one thing this creature doesn't like, fire! This could be either a really long or a really painful fight, but I would prefer it wasn't both!

Markus picks up the crossbow, then makes a 5 foot step back to attempt to avoid drawing an attack of opportunity, and extracts the fire crystal from it.

"Well we can certainly see that it doesn't seem to like fire from the bolts..." Markus trailed off

Markus drops the crossbow and draws his rapier and whip-dagger then activates the "Dizzying Venom Prana" maneuver for his attack.(Boost - Next attack inflicts 2 points of Wisdom damage and staggers foe)

"so let's see how it feels about the cold from the steel!" he finished as he lunged at the beast.

"Although being eaten still stings quite a bit so maybe it is not the best of strategies for us to employ... I wonder what it will take to really slow this creature down?!"
