Thura Forest - Lamia Priestess Tunnels - Meeting Room
Morning

"It's more than that too, there are some chieftains who ask how Bursteig could even take on our debt. Their country had more recently appeared in this world, but from what everyone can assume, the Felencorp have already stuck their grubby hands into that nation. But if you believe a hero is the cause... That very well might be. With a powerful hero, the country might have the power to do all they claim to, and would embolden them to make their claims. However, we've been given no evidence of such..."

Quote"By all means, send your people in to get us some intel. But bear in mind that you don't need my approval to do what you think is best. I've been here less than a week. This is your country. I'm not going to be that person who just shows up and tells you how to run the place. I only have that authority which is granted to me. If I were to behave otherwise, I'd be no different from Felencorp."

Eveleen smiled gently towards you, Synithises' eyes filled with admiration, while both Jasna and Aliana nodded approvingly. At that same moment, a notification appeared in your view before disappearing a few seconds later.

You have gained a new title『Loved』
Jasna, who seemed to be the one who had most of the intel between the matriarches, then continued.

"Then... matriarch Eveleen, and matriarch Synithise. I'll be sending my most elite and trusted scouts to our neighboring Bursteig. I'll request from matriarch Synithise to use the Lamia priestess seal with a letter of peace and perhaps further clarifications."

"And Carrie... Rapidly deploying teams or assets?" Jasna asked curiously. Synithise looked confused, but Aliana nodded knowingly. "Do tell. We've been using our people as night-time scouts, though the journey is taxing and we can't carry a lot with us."

"If it's endorsements, we can do that." Melody offered, confident in her ability to try getting people into the tavern. "But once you draw attention, you need something to keep drawing attention for even after we leave. Like a special something unique to the Pickled Ear. For us in our small temple of Sarenrae, the people who keep visiting are those who come to worship Sarenrae, so that's our special thing. " Melody looked towards her other companions.

"Anyone have any ideas on how to help this place?" She asked. "All I know are medicines and what we were taught in the church... I'm pretty confident in gathering people if it comes to it though. Oh! Also, also, also, I'm good at jewelry making and other artsy things, maybe I can make miss Roxy's tavern sign look prettier?"

Much like Scathach, Rhenri was never well-versed with any book learnings. The few academics she was taught, if it could be called academics, were related with the various martial disciplines instead. So, just like her fellow marksman, she looked around the library looking for anything that could be of interest to share with either Cecilia or Thedrin.

Kherngolarr - Palace
Day 10 (Jean), Day 12 (Rosalie) - Time: Mid-Afternoon

The king blinked his eyes in surprise as the metallic Ren disappeared into the core. The core itself then disappearing into your Inventory. To his credit, he took it in stride though.

"Aye, th' truce... Wi' howfur tense things wur, A'm surprised they agreed tae it. It felt as if something wis compelling us fur peace. We heard yer voice ring oot, 'n' my men stopped fightin'. Either wey, we'll git mah guard tae secure th' steps, 'n' we'll wait fur th' lords then."

State any preparations you may want to do before the lords appear, feel free to split the post with [hr] tags for each piece so we can tackle things in parallel. If there are things you want your companions to do, feel free to mention it. As reference, the lords you remember Goldroic Tulach telling you about.

Lord Goldroic Tulach, loyalist, descendent of a mining clan before the Shifting. Not a true 'noble', but he and his clan were brought up to nobility by decree of the current king due to their loyalty and work in excavating the tunnels. Has his troops separated out through the city trying to hold points.

Lord Eilig Catach, loyalist, had ties to nobility from the old Kingdom, stationed troops mainly at the refineries, and helping the royal guards at the palace. Is an old dwarf, but is no friends of current king's father.

Lord Gowan Puidreach, loyalist, head of a craftsman clan that had ties to nobility from the Old Kingdom, they were a lesser noble house until the Shifting but had moved up in position due to the events. His troops are stationed at the refineries, along with helping other groups from lord Goldroic Tulach retake the city.

Lord Cambeul Peucag, separatist, head of a merchant clan, controls most buying and selling in the city.

Lord Cruim Loudain, separatist, apart from the Seadhg clan, his clan is next in line as the most noble clan in the city.

Lord Gilleabart Druimeanach, separatist, a warrior clan who typically leads the explorations deep in the tunnels. They're known to support the clergy of the city.

Location: Cliffside, a short distance from the city
Time: ???

"Hmm? The Umbral-" The lion began to ask, confusion written on his face. But just like before, he stopped midsentence, his body slightly shifted as if being rewound, and his once confused gaze became a nodding look of agreement. "That is a wise decision my royal advisor! The Umbral Hunters... That ragtag group of adventurers I lead before settling down. Unfortunately, that wouldn't solve the problem that it seems only our royal capital made it here... where-ever we are."

Over the horizon, looking towards the splendor of the capital city, you can visibly see the academy that you had spoken of. Yet again, there was a sort of dissonance within your memories, but the dissonance was quelled. You tried thinking the same thing about a tall and grand tower, akin to your world's Space Needle, for a moment the city seemed to shift slightly, with the tower in view, but a moment after that, it disappeared again.

The lion spent some moments admiring the city, and staring worriedly towards the landscape that was unfamiliar. It was then that a fireball of dark miasma exploded in one corner of the city. Screams of alarm were faintly heard far in the distance.

"Customers?" Melody had to ask. It's true that they traveled for what felt like was a mile, but the young priestess wasn't quite sure what to make of the half-orc. "Oh no, no, no, we're not customers... We're more like explorers. We're actually searching for evil to redeem." She wanted to say 'cultists', but Melody wasn't quite sure whether or not the person she was talking to was one of the cultists they were investigating. Besides, searching for evil to redeem wasn't really lying, Melody was looking to redeem any such evil.

"But if I may ask, what kind of... place is this? What are we potential customers of?"

"Youa askin' a mighty lot from us to trust ye'd just leave. If we happen ta free you, we'd be at youa mercy. Nothin' stoppin' you from doin' us in. Now, for regular folks, they have an inklin' of guilt, not ta mention most of the tiyum they'd rather not be chased by them authorities. If it comes to it, potential victims can try ta defend themselves, too, or make a ruckus to call for help. Out here, there's none of that. And defendin' ourselves against someone who requires strong magic to keep them in check? I reckon that's suicide. So, that leaves us to trust you to youa word."

"The difference between them zombies out there to you, is that I know the zombies want to kill us, but we still have the tiyum to potentially run and escape. But if we were ta free you now, we wudden have that option. I cain't speak for my companions, but me puttin' my life in someone's hands iden something so easily given."

"How do we free you anyways?" Rhenri asked, trying to think of a solution to the potential problem.

With the prisoner, Rhenri couldn't help but remember her time in Valtz Zitadelle, still mentoring under her old master who taught her the skills and arts she now used. She never mastered the art of interrogation, the only time she was allowed to try it, she was sure she seemed more like a bumbling idiot than a threatening assassin. The entire memory turned her off from interrogations since then, preferring to focus and hone her skills with the bow.

"I'm no good with tryin' to tawk em out of somethin'. I'll help with the searchin'." Rhenri said presenting her compromise. She did make it a point to first go over to the unconscious caster, and take anything that looked like it could be used for spellcasting. With that done, she went through each body, looking for anything out of the ordinary or valuables.

Go to unconscious person, strip off anything like weapons, or reagents.

Afterwards, loot each body. Cursory 6-second search once on each body, she'll call out what items are on each, then go through a nat 20 for each if time allows.

Murderous Insight Reference
Murderous Insight (Su):

The stalker designates his combat senses towards ending the lives of his opponents and gains momentary flashes of insight in how to best accomplish this. By spending one point of ki as a swift action, the stalker makes an attack and rolls twice for that attack and uses the better of the two results due to the stalker's precognitive abilities. This art has a duration of 1 + the stalker's Wisdom modifier in rounds.
