After finishing her duties as a tour guide from the morning she picked up her bag from her royal quarters then headed out clothes in hand to meet with Adhelm. She gave herself a good half hour to make it to the villa and have everything she needed to try again and show him what clothes from her world are like. She purposely brought things like her swimwear and her jeans to show him various other pieces.

"I hope he likes what I have." She said only realizing how silly that sounded once she heard it spoken out loud.

Amelia arrived in Ebner's office late in the day hoping that she had given him enough time to have an update for her as promised. She was curious about how the various craftsman were doing adapting the memories that she had shown him into practice. But in truth, she was the most nervous whether or not he had been successful getting in contact with the slavers of the nation on her behalf. She did not like the knot forming in her stomach, she wished she had more help dealing with people in the shadows.

Though sleeping in Kurt's room last night and dealing with Thyra had given her an idea on an avenue to search for a reasonable spymaster. Knocking on the door as she entered she spoke, "Good day Ebner, I hope I'm not keeping you too late. I'm here for our scheduled update."

Location: Noble's Villa
Date: Day 11 - Noon

You met Adhelm at his temporary lodgings.

"Oh! Your majesty, this is splendid!" He cooed as he took up each of the clothing and examined them carefully, along with taking in the general look of them.

He didn't seem to blush at all when he picked up the swimsuit you brought.

"A swim suit you say? These might very well work with the younger generation... The ones most people use don't show this much. It might potentially hard to sell too... You know, we never had much of a sunbathing culture in our country, much less this city, being so far from the ocean. But now that we're bordering one, it might be time to consider selling more of these... At the very least, I know there's an island country that might find these fascinating..."

Next he went over to the jeans and examined them closely.

"Fascinating. The weave of this is much thicker than regular cloth we use... Durable too? This might be good clothing to use for the workers of our country."

"You don't happen to know how this was produced, do you?"

Date: Day 11 - 4pm

"Hello again Suzaku!" Ilyaveere announced when you were finally up next at the counter.

"One second... let me check something..." The receptionist said as she pulled out what looked to be an notebook, she leafed through it a couple times.

"Aha! I thought so... It looks like your Adventurer Card is ready to be picked up. Wait one moment!" With that she quickly ran to a backroom, after a minute, she appeared again carrying the card in her hand.


"This card, along with the wooden Rank plate I gave you last week, signifies your membership to the guild." She explained as she handed you the card to look at. It had your alias 'Suzaku', along with bars that represented statistics.

"One more thing... You haven't started any missions yet at the board. The Guild imposes a 2 month requirement. Meaning, you'll have to get one mission in every 2 months in order to be qualified and recognized as a Guild Member. Any potentially long contracts over 2 months need to be reported at your nearest Guild though."

"As for your animal companion... Generally we don't require animal companions to be registered. It simply is noted in our records that you do have one, along with other information such as its race and size. However, if the animal companion is sentient, and can talk... Then we require them to sign up as actual Adventurers. Traveling with a sentient companion can be thought of as travelling with another adventurer. Likewise, if you own any slaves, the same is done for them."

Date: Day 11 - 5pm

"A good day to you too Your Majesty." Ebner said as he bowed. He seemed to be enjoying a glass of wine as he was pouring over some records, but invited you to sit with him, as he himself poured wine in a new empty glass.

"Not late at all, I find I get the most done in the evenings like these anyways. But I'm glad you could stop by!" He said grinning as he placed the new glass of wine in front of you, then took a sip of his own.

"It's a few more days yet til the report from the Gladenstadt Auction House, our courier might just be arriving tonight, or tomorrow... But I'd like to show you something else..." He said with a glint in his eye. He then pulled up a crate full of all sorts of equipment from the floor near his desk to his table. They were filled with the various sports equipments from the list of sports that you had given him.

"I worked with plenty of our craftsmen the last couple of days to get these just right. They're prototypes, mind you, and they're not as well-crafted as the ones in your memory... These lightweight but durable materials aren't something that we can easily create." True to what he said, most of the items shown were made out of wood, though, there were some with metal, or was made entirely out of metal.

He then pulled out what looked to be a few cards.

"These were difficult to make as well. I had asked some paper craftsmen on sturdy and thick paper, so they ended up experimenting for the first day. At the same time, I had some of the printing presses try out to see what it would take to crate something akin to a painting through the presses. It's far from what you imagine... But it's a start at least."

He then displayed some 'cards' in front of you. They were indeed thick, though, the cuts on them weren't as clean as you would have liked. The 'paintings' on them too looked similar to various attempts at pressing with different dyes or paints. Frankly, they didn't look as good as the ones from back home.

"I did have an artist attempt to create one from scratch... He had just finished it this morning."

With that, Ebner pulled out another card. This one was much more well-done. It had the look of a painting, and there was indeed some precision required to make it look the way it did. It was a picture of a 'Legendary Creature' named 'Kurt von Engel', and had the close likeness of the prince of Mendernich, brandishing two rapier-like swords.

"As you can imagine, we'll have a problem mass-producing these..."

After that, he pulled out what looked to be an 8 by 8 grid, with various pieces. It didn't take you long to realize that it was a chess board. He too had created matching ones for Shogi and Go from the specifications you shared with him.

"These ones I'm excited for... I'm rather enticed by the possibility of having other players to play with me..." Ebner explained. "I've been thinking about these 'board games' since you introduced them, but right now, there's only two people in the world that I know can play this... And one of them, only learned through the first's power." He grinned.

She took back the various clothes from him to read the still attached tags that described their exact makeup. After she lets him take additional notes she continues, "As for how they are specifically made I know a number of them are industrial products that we cannot replicate at the moment. But we can use things like cotton and silk to make up the difference. If you want to know about other styles that I don't have on hand. Let me try something."


Opening the friend's list and focusing on Adhelm she tries to replicate what she did to Ebner before by sharing her modern memory of things like men's clothes, different types of uniforms, sportswear, suits her father wore, things her little brother favored, different cultural outfits like kimonos and saris and various bits from video games and anime that she could not help but bleed in. Those almost outlandish outfits continued to flow, pictures of school uniforms and only half dressed with far too many belts filled her mind. The more she thought about what kinds of different fashions that would work the more the different styles seemed to just flow out of her.

"Thank you Ilyaveere!" Amelia said taking the card with a smile, "I'll also keep what you said about sentient companions in mind. As well as the need to take a mission every two months."

She moved over to the board in thought,  "I wish I had seen the rats quest earlier I would have brought all those tails home. Well, I might as well take it and see what I can do." She said moving back to Illyvvree. "Are the rat tails just for proof? because I've killed a number already and I would like to get credit if possible. Do you have any other interesting missions that have yet to be listed?"

Date: Day 11 - 5pm

Amelia smiled looking at all the progress they had already made as she sat down. "This is far beyond any kind of expectations I had she smiled this is already a huge step forward."

Her smile grew as he brought out the game, "I apologize I was only able to remember the basics, and I did not spend a huge amount of time reading game theory. As a result, I fear you've missed out a huge amount of collective practice and plays that I just had no clue about. But I would love to play a game."


"As for the products its important to work within our means, choose which items make the most sense for our nation and the ones that are cost effective and start there. Things like soccer for instance that only require a ball, is a great place to start. So please for most of the prototypes stick to wood and you only use metal where it makes the most sense. I understand that blacksmithing requires a great deal of additional labor."

"As for the cards, I think the same philosophy applies. While having a few high-quality cards in circulation increase their values keep that kind of work limited to the rare cards like the prince. Use them as prizes for sanctioned tournaments and the like. Otherwise, the ones that have been printed are a perfectly fine place to start. Don't get discouraged just because new things take time to develop."

"Please, tell everyone who has worked on these projected how overjoyed I am with what they have managed to accomplish. That goes just as much for your efforts to Ebner." She smiled as she made her first move.

"Do you have any other concerns for me? I'm sure the sovereignty wants us to pay some portion for their new temple of water, that is if the word has gotten back to their leaders yet."

Date: Day 11 - Noon

Suddenly that notification morphed and change rather than being scrolled up.

"Wha- What is- Oh. Are you doing this? Ooohhh. Ahhh, I see... To think this was... Ooooh, interesting. Wow..."

Like before with Liudger, the process took around a minute. By the time it was done, Adhelm was blinking his eyes in shock and wonder at the sudden new information in his head.

"A-amazing Your Majesty..." Adhelm stated. "That is... Your Majesty, The Hero..." Adhelm continued. "I wasn't sure how much I believe in the otherwordly powers heroes possessed... But you definitely shown that. It's as if.... It's as if I know the clothes myself, and could almost touch them in my mind."

Adhelm was visibly getting excited.

"Your Majesty... Unless there is more you would like to discuss, I think I want to start designing clothes, and seeing how I can replicate them..."

Date: Day 11 - 4pm

"Unfortunately you do need those rat tails as proof." Ilyaveere said. "For other creatures, we generally accept the right-ear of any slain monster. For one, the ear itself isn't worth as much as say... the horn, or a creature's tail. There are always bounties available for large rats and goblins though!"

"As for interesting missions... Well, I'm not sure if they would be interesting, but apart from the slaying bounties, there's requests for reagents and material harvested from monsters all the time too. For example, one of our local 'kebab' stores continually gets its food-stuff from adventurer kills. The same is said with furs, horns and bones, among other things. Mendernich is a fairly safe town though, so don't expect anything too out there. Apart from that, there is a dungeon we have nearby designed for beginners just a short distance from the Mendernich east gates."

Date: Day 11 - 5pm

The two of you began playing chess. In the opening turns, Liudger was already starting to get a lead, seeing more of how the game works, and eager to test the strategies he had come up with.

"I will definitely tell the rest that Your Majesty thanks them. With these variety of sports, I think it's best to introduce them slowly, and one at a time, so we have enough time for the citizens to truly appreciate tests of skills such as these. Usually these type of things were only reserved for the nobles in jousting tournaments, or sword-play, and the like. It's a new concept! Which of these sports do you think would work the best? Likewise, do you have any input on how much we should spend in it?"

Liudger thought for a moment.

"A grand celebration of its opening of some sort?" He said, throwing out ideas.

"Absolutely," Amelia smiled, "I'll leave you to your work, and if you need anything to better the process please let me know. Also, don't feel pressured to work outside your means. Use natural fabrics and the things that you do well before going overboard."

"And thank you again for agreeing to help me stay informed about the nobles in your hometown. Your help means a lot to me" Amelia gave him a small smile before leaving.

"Yes well I understand, I might as well sign up for that beginner dungeon and see how it goes." She said with a smile. "Can I bring anyone along or do I have to also sign them up so the guards know who are entering?"

Date: Day 11 - 5pm

Amelia smiled as she took some time to think. "I believe our best bet will be a sport like soccer to start with. The game is simple, easy to follow, and does not require any particularly special equipment. That will give all the time we need to refine the places to play and the needed bureaucracy in place for the other sports. We also don't need high-end arena's to play the game."

She details her plans to use parks as play fields along with the needed money that she planned for.

"I would be more than willing to have some kind of grand celebration!" Amelia said with a large smile. "We can make it a whole spring festival across the three cities to draw in all kind of attention with games and food."

She moves to make her next move as she speaks.

"Speaking of paying for things I had a few questions for you. Is there any way I can get a telescope? I would love to go stargazing in the near future."

"Oh, and there was one more thing." She paused, "Who is the most famous courtesan in the region? What do you know about them and do you think they would take a meeting with me discreetly if I asked?" Her face was as red as a beet when she finished the last part.

Adhelm Schröder grinned.

"I'll be staying here for another few weeks likely... I originally came here for your coronation after all. However... It is tempting to spend a week travelling to get back to Gladentstadt to being production. However... I shant miss your coronation Your Majesty. I can at least use this time to come up with designs. Yes, yes...!" His eyes were absolutely gleaming.

With that, he bowed.

"Oh... One more thing Your Majesty... By chance can we have some of the local weavers here help with this? I'd be willing to pay of course, but having the crown sanction it would do more for having the populace help."

"There are no guards of that dungeon. We prefer if only adventurers or their animal companions enter it, though. You may also keep any treasures you may find in it, but don't expect too much of a dungeon delve! It's a small dungeon, 3 rooms total. And it's primarily meant to let new adventurers have a taste of dungeon delving before venturing to the farther ones. I have a list of those, so feel free to come back whenever you think you're ready."

"There is one rule... and one rule only, you are to not destroy the Dungeon Core of that dungeon, doing so will result in a heavy fine, along with imprisonment."

"A Spring Festival... Do you have any ideas what we should call it? Spring Sports Festival... No, too literal?"

"For the telescope, our court mage, Conrad Esser has one. Reading the stars is part of his arcane studies. As for a famous courtesan... Those kinds of businesses are more frequent in Gladenstadt or Schleitz, so I'm afraid I do not know."

"And I very much look forward too seeing you at the coronation."

"Oh before I forget please put together a number of designs together for the demihuman and any race with additional considerations as well if you could. Size considerations, tail holes, cover as many bases as you can think of. It is an important consideration that I would like to keep an eye on." She smiles.

"And please try not to overwork yourself. As a future queen, you'll make me worry." She chuckled.

"There is a saying in my world, that to make money one must spend money." she smiled. "For the Spring Festival," she thought for a moment, "Let's go with The Festival of Renewal?"

She played her next move of the game than, she already knew that she was going to lose but she might as well make a fight of it.


"And I'll go talk to Conrad then, as for the other matter do you know of anyone in the castle or in the capital I could trust give me that answer. Perhaps Father Ragnar, now that I think of it?" she asked trying to think of who she knew that would walk in those circles.

"Also, Before I forget Lord Adhelm requested that we send some of the capital weavers over to the villa to help with designs and production of the first stages to designing new clothes. I told him that I thought it was reasonable can you organize what he needs for me?"

"Demihuman and other races too?" Adhelm thought about it. A moment later he nodded his head. "You might mean the Kingdom of Darmona, our neighbors to the east? Slavers of my city bring them in at times, with naught but rags thrown together. The sale on those clothing is much rare however..."

"But... Your Majesty, if we can secure a way to sell them? I will at the very least design them as well."

"Adhelm? Adhelm Schröder? Yes... I've worked with his father in the past. Though with how hectic it has been since we arrived here in the New World, I haven't had a chance to meet with the new head of the family. The Schröders are loyal to the crown. And very well, I'll schedule a meeting to meet with him tomorrow."

"Actually, can you do me a favor and procure me a high-quality bow and some arrows? I don't know the best sellers in town yet. I do not need anything extravagant just something reliable that I know I can handle. I promise to pay for the actual purchase I just need someone with a good eye for these things."

"I don't want to rely on the prince for everything." Amelia smiled.

"Yes, the Schröder family was suggested to me by the king to aid in dealing with the noble class. Offering him my memories of clothes, and the chance to design substitutes for things like the uniforms we need for sports was enough to solidify our new partnership. He seems like a very nice boy as well which helps a lot when wanting to do favors for me." Amelia chuckled.

"Well," She sighed, "I'll be awake for at least another few hours if that report comes during the night please feel free to wake me. I'm going to see if I cannot find that answer I was looking for. Thank you for all your hard work Ebner. Please try to get some sleep as well, I cannot be worrying about you getting sick with all we have planned." she smiled.

"By the way, I believe you won the game."

Amelia sat on her bed and sighed, "Things have yet to slow down. I'm actually looking forward to going hunting with Nyx tomorrow."

Opening her friend's list she saw just how many people she had met in the short time that she had arrived here. Finally, she found Ragnar's name and focused for a while.

"Ragnar, I'm sorry to disturb you, this is Amelia. Are you free for a moment? I have a question for you."

Ilyaveere wrote somethign in her notebook.

"Very well then! You are in the castle with the prince, correct? I will have the bow and arrows delivered. The delivery agent will tell you how much it all costs, feel free to pay it then, or come by any Guild Hall to settle that payment. For things like these, you'll need to secure the payment within a week, or that will go as a strike on your record. If the bow or arrows aren't satisfactory, we can also refund the payment, though, the service charge won't be refunded."

"At the very least, expect the lowest prices from the Guild! We work with the best merchants in the city after all." The receptionist stated, as if she was reciting a well-memorized line.

"That ability you have to share memories... Is quite useful, you know?" Liudger commented.

He then grinned as he moved his final piece into place.

"Checkmate." Liudger said agreeing with your sentiment. "I really would love to show this game to a couple of others..." He thought about it. "Of course, after all my work is done." He laughed. "But fear not Your Majesty, I do very well enjoy the work I've been doing for the crown. There's a couple of things I'd like to take care of first... But I assure you, I'll get some rest."

"I think I would very much like to introduce 'chess' to King Richmond..." A grin splayed across his face.

Date: Day 11 - 6:30

The fuck. Can you hear me? Is that you, Your Majesty? He paused for a moment.

Oh... excuse my Felothian. Father Barnabas hurriedly apologized for the profanity before you could make the confirmation. I assume you can hear my thoughts too, I just didn't expect to hear you in my head all of a sudden. Part of the blessing of a hero, right?

Enjoying some time at the tavern next door, but I'm as free as I could be.

Date: Day 11 - 5pm

"That was a very good game, Ebner," Amelia smiled. "and I will certainly do my best to practice to give you more of a challenge next time. You seem to have picked up the games nuances better than I did. We will have to definitely play again. You may even need to teach me."

As he made the comment about her ability she waved the statement away, "I don't think I can use it all the time, unfortunately." Her eyebrow creeps up skeptically, "Why? Would you like me to try and share something specific with you?"

Amelia began to mentally laugh enjoying the honesty, "Please, I didn't mean to surprise you! Yes, this is an ability that I stumbled upon. I apologize for interrupting your night, I just wanted to ask you a question that I thought you would know the answer too. Who is the most famous and popular courtesan in our kingdom?"

His cursing helped stop her embarrassed about this line of questioning. "And for the record, the average curse is far from offensive in my book."

Liudger laughed as he picked up his pipe and inhaled it.

"No, no... Not with all the work I currently have with just the first set of memories. Perhaps in the future, yes. I'm sure there's all sorts of interesting things in your memories you can share from your world. But right now, I have enough work to last at least a month with all of these new sports and game projects. Not to mention figuring out all the financing, and setting up meetings."

He grinned.

"Good work of course. But at least give me a few days to handle these current tasks, that, or let us hire more accountants." Liudger said jokingly.

A courtesan? I didn't realize you would be interested in such things. Male courtesans are generally rarer... But if you're talking about the best, there's a place in Gladenstadt that I had the pleasure to visit once before the Shifting.

The Chaste Cat is the brothel's name. Run by the most exquisite lady I have ever laid my eyes on. She's picky with her partners of course, but a night with her could cost up to an orichalcum piece.

"If these sports take off as I hope, I will make it a priority to get you more staff." She said seriously. "As I work to develop more revenues of income it will be important that your office can handle the extra work without going killing you in the process."

Amelia fishes for a pencil and her notebook and writes down the name of the brothel. "Do you think if I wrote a letter to her she would respond or do I need an introduction? I imagine a lady like that has dealt with her fair share of nobles. I would like to have her come out to the capital if at all possible."

"But I would understand if at that price she would need more then just a letter to make such a move."

"I see you're already thinking of more work. Fear not, I'll be prepared even if I'm the only one handling all the paperwork." Liudger said reassuringly.

For someone like her? Well, you have the special status as the hero of this country, not to mention our next queen. They'd have to authenticate your letter of course, probably a seal from the royal capital along with an official courier, but as for moving all the way to the capital...?

That's not something even I can see if she would or would not. She does have her home over there in Gladenstadt. There are a few brothels here, though, most of the clients seeking a good time usually travel to our neighboring city. The atmosphere in Mendernich afterall isn't so welcoming to anything too seedy.

Amelia jotted down the rest of her notes while she smiled. "Well, I won't know till I try I suppose. Thank you for your help, Ragnar. It really means a great deal to me."


She jumped up from her bed and left her room as she quickly began heading to the king's office to see if he will help her compose an invitation for this woman.

You found the king in the middle of a game of chess with Liudger Ebner.

"Queen Amelia!" King Richmond said as you entered. "Liudger tells me you introduced this game? Chess? It's rather fascinating I must admit... The amount of thought and strategy you would have to put into this game? Simply remarkable."

When you requested help with the invitation, the king readily agreed. Soon enough the two of you created the invitation, along with sealing it officialy with the royal seal. The king mentioned he can have the letter be sent out tonight, though it'd be a few days for it to arrive at the intended destination.

"The game is a classic back home your majesty. All I did was explain how I understood how the pieces move." she chuckled.

"I also wanted to let you know that I am going to go out tomorrow so, please don't be concerned if you don't see me around. If anything goes wrong while I'm out I will make sure to send word using my abilities." she smiled.

"Nyx and I have had a tough few days so it will be nice for the two of us to relax. I hope you two have a good game," she said before returning to her bedroom.

Once in her room she sent a mental note to Nyx, "You okay with going training tomorrow? I thought it would be fun to check out the dungeon."

Concerned, the king looked up from his game that he continued shortly after finishing the letter.

"Still within the city? You've been with us for almost two weeks now, but don't forget you're royalty too, you should take some guards, or my son or daughter with you."

The dungeon? I admit I haven't ventured out of the city walls yet... There's always enough of the city to explore at night. Nyx stretched. I've been curious about their dungeon though, I can't let my servant go by herself can I? There was a hint of teasing in his voice.

"I promise you I won't go alone," She smiled before leaving the king's chambers.

"My knight in furred armor. We will take Thyra with us to help train my energy. We should also take this opportunity to test your talents as well. After all, you are the actual hero so you should have more power at your disposal."

"Afterwards, I thought it would be fun to ask Conrad if we could have a star viewing party with Kurt and Matilda as a reward."

Nyx continued to stretch, then began to groom himself as he responded.

The hero? Well, don't count yourself out of that anytime soon, you can form these... telepathic links with others. It's no Tuxedo Mask, but it's still a 'heroic blessing'.

"I love you too." She smiled

Location: Amelia's room
Date: Day 12 - 7 AM

When the morning came around, there was a knock on your door.

"Your Majesty? Amelia?... Sister?" It was Matilda's voice.

"There's umm... something I want to talk about."

"Sure,Mati, what do you need?" Amelia said opening the door as she was finishing getting dressed for the day in her male costume.

"Well... Remember a week ago when you told me I should go all out and fight with my brother?" She said as she went into the room, and closed the door behind her.

"I kinda chickened out... I've been stressing about it the entire week, but I'm not sure... I've avoided my sparring sessions with him, I've just been telling him I've had some maid duties to take care of for Corina every morning... But... Do you really think I should? Break the fact his little sister is actually much better than him?"

"Isn't that almost mean?"

Amelia smiled kneeling down to Matilda's eye level "Oh Sweetheart, have you been holding this in the entire week? You should have come to me sooner."

"There is nothing mean about living your true life, but there is something mean to yourself about feeling like you have to bend over backward."

Amelia paused for a moment a thought coming to mind then smiled conspiratorially. "I think you should come out with us today. Would you like to do that? We are all going to sneak out of the city to go to that beginner dungeon. Of course, if you are going to come with us you are going to need to bring a sword."

"Well... I usually spar with my brother in the morning... Both he and I used to train in the morning when it was the quietest, we didn't do it every day, but it became a habit enough that if we were there at the castle's training grounds, we'd have a quick match." Matilda explained. "I would hold back of course... I was thinking..."

She paused, then looked towards her feet.

"I was thinking of maybe sparring with my brother again, this time... seriously?"

"Oh! But after, I'd love to come to the dungeon. You're talking about the Goblin Dungeon of the guild right? To be honest, that one is really really easy for us, but if you'd like me to come, I'd really like to see how you're progressing!"

Amelia smiled, "In that case, I would love to watch the two of you spar for real this time before we go."

"Then you can choose I actually planned to do a little stargazing party tonight that I wanted to ask your and Akari help for. Since I knew you didn't like fighting and I was going to focus on working with Nyx, for the most part, I figured you would find it boring. However, if you would rather come watch us make fools of ourselves instead please feel free to come along."

"Well... I would really like to spend time with you. We haven't talked a lot this last week since you've been so busy with your new job. But ummm, I want to see how things go with big bro first. I'll meet you at the training ground then? Its in the castle courtyard, since its the private one we use here in the castle."

With that Matilda smiled and started to make her way out the door.

Once it was quiet, Nyx spoke up as he stretched.

"That girl is actually really fond of you." Nyx commented. "Well so is her brother." His voice was full of teasing.

"But I got a new title last night. Status." Nyx paused for a second.

"It's called 'Mender'. It gave me quite a good amount of 'WIS' too. Haven't figured out what that does yet or how I got it. I was killing rats as normal..."

Amelia reached down to scratch behind Nyx's ears. "I'm fond of them too." Amelia smiled thoughtfully.

"You've probably leveled up though that title does make it a curious ability. I can imagine what it is good for though. I wonder if it would be worth going diving, and seeing if there is anything worth salvaging that we can try to mend?"

"Well, for the time being, we have to focus on the dungeon. I want you to try focusing on trying to cast magic and other abilities?" Amelia said going to lift him. "I was thinking it would be neat if you could be more physically imposing like a man-eating tiger or something. After all, while people under-estimate you they should also know how regal you are."


"Before that though, I suppose I should try to discretely talk to Kurt ab,out this duel." Opening friends list with a word she focuses on Kurt.

"Kurt, are you busy? I had a favor to ask of you about Mati"

Picking him Nyx, he was definitely a lot more fit than he was back on Earth. It was as if he was the peak optimal health for a cat, but nonetheless, he was still physically like a cat. Indeed, you could feel his muscles under his fur well when you picked him up. He was one damn fine cat.

A-Amelia! I heard that you can do this, but this is the first time I'm actually experiencing it. Talking to me... p-privately... After the initial shock wore off, Kurt continued.

H-how can I help you Your Majesty? He asked. Strange, even though the dialogue was through internal thoughts, he still seemed to stutter. You can almost imagine his face blushing.

Amelia continued to walk around her room running her hand through her cat's fur. "You are about to get a strange request from Mati to have a sparring duel. I want you to please accept, and if she looks like she is going to back out you have to push for the duel to happen this morning."

"She has something she desperately wants to tell you, but she does not have the words to say it. She needs to use her sword for this use her actions to express herself. The problem is she is worried that you will be upset afterward. So, I wanted to tell you first and foremost give this duel everything you have and force her to use her best to in this fight. Don't hold back even though she is your sister and don't let her falter.

Force her to use everything she has and if you lose then do your best to smile for her. Please, I don't want this to be an order but know that I will be watching the fight, and I will be disappointed, in the both of you, if either of you are not pushed to the limits." Her mental thoughts were solid like iron and yet warm. She honestly cared for both of them and poured all her honesty into what she said. All the while, hoping that the importance of this moment across the connection.

"Do you understand what I am asking?"

As Amelia waited for a response a thought popped into her head, "I think I have something for you to test mending on Nyx."

Going over to her bag she ruffled through the contents until she found what she was looking for. A book she had bought before leaving home with her best friend. She meant to read it while traveling and downtime yet none had presented itself. Even now, she still had to be careful handling it as it was on the near-constant edge of falling apart.

Placing the book open on the bed she hopped if this made it more stable at least then she might be able to read it without worry. "Give it a shot Nyx,"

A spar..?! Y-yes... I haven't sparred with my sister for the past week, but she had just been busy...

I don't really understand, but if it means just to fight with everything I have... Alright, I will.

"Restore!" Nys said. A moment after that, the book that you presented to him started to repair the various wear on it. It continued to have dirt and old stains on it, but the torn pages, or damage on the cover was repaired. It didn't look as brittle as it once was as well. The text on the front had appeared as well.

The words were a language you didn't recognize.

The Creation of the World

The missing pages at the beginning of the book had been recreated as well, along with the original text that they had. Although the rest of the book was written in English. The forward was written in the same characters you had seen.

Here in lies the creation of the world from my point of view. Different from the stories of man, yet similar as well.

The main things you managed to get from the Forward was that there were multiple beings in charge of creating the world, with the author, Artemis, being one such of the individuals helping in the process. One thing you noticed was that many of the names the author had mentioned were ones of Greek gods and goddesses, though, there seemed to be others that you did not recognize.

"It worked!" Amelia said with a smile and a clap as she scanned through the forward. She marveled at the translated text for a minute before forcing herself to close it. Throwing the book in her bag and flinging it over her shoulder she smiled. "We need to head off to the training ground and making sure Mati doesn't chicken out."

She let Nyx jump on her shoulder as she finished the last of her costume and headed quickly out the door.

It didn't take you long to find out where the training grounds were. Traversing the castle hallways the past week had started to make the entire place feel more familiar. Passing by familiar faces of guards and maids, with most of them greeting you respectfully, you finally made it to the castle's inner courtyard.


It was rather large for a courtyard, but it made sense as the castle itself was a large one with a variety of different wings to it. You managed to easily catch sight of the two figures a distance away, it looked like both were preparing and were strapping on a variety of armor pieces. This was the first time you've seen Kurt in such armor. Even Matilda was gearing up.


"Amelia... We don't normally put our armor on, but... You did say to go all out."

"Brother... Prepare yourself, okay?"

With that, the two went to either end of the arena-like area in the middle, each one brandishing their swords. Kurt was using two blades, while Matilda opted on using one large two-handed sword.

Matilda's visage was serious as she called out to you.

"Sister... Tell us when to start?"

Amelia could feel her heart beating in her chest as she watched them finish preparing for the fight. She was glad to have Nyx on her shoulders to heal or drain mana if things got out of hand. Seeing the determination in their eyes she stepped to the edge of the ring. And like a fight announcer said with force,


"Fight BEGIN!"

"Here... I... come!" Matilda shouted, grabbing her sword tightly.

Matilda had literally disappeared from where she stood as dust was kicked off where she had been standing just moments before. She appeared in front of Kurt then, her greatsword striking out. Kurt saw the attack coming, but even though he tried to get out of the way to counter the swing, the weapon hit him squarely in the chest, drawing a large wound on the prince.

To the prince's credit, he remained standing, though, the fact he had blood on his mouth told you he had suffered some internal wounds.

"Flash step? I didn't think you mastered that already." Kurt said as he readied his blades. A moment later he too was gone.

Kurt unleashed multiple strikes at that moment.

Kurt's look of victory changed when he realized Matilda didn't fall.

"How are you still sta-" But Kurt wasn't able to finish as Matilda, her back and armor bleeding rotated the momentum of her earlier swing and aimed straight for Kurt. At that same time, her weapon began to glow around its edges.

Seeing the blade coming, Kurt attempted to reverse the attack.

Kurt tried to get out of the way and even counter-attack, but Matilda's strike was too quick. The greatsword sliced into his side, instantly knocking out the prince out cold.

When the prince crumpled to the ground, unmoving, a pool of blood flowing around him, Matilda called out urgently.

"Brother...?" She asked hesitantly. Immediately after she called out to you.

"Sis! Amelia! Help him."

"Nyx, Restore now!" Amelia said rushing forward to Kurt's side. She quickly studied the wound as she kneeled down doing her best to stop the bleeding for the few seconds that it would take for Nyx to heal.

Nyx rushed to the scene, invoking the keyword at the same time.

"Restore!" He called out immediately, focusing on Kurt. Matilda's eyes shot even wider when she heard Nyx talk. At the same time, a light glow surrounded Kurt, and the bleeding stopped. Not only that, the blood had been in a pool around his body and had stained his clothes was gone as well.

Kurt's body heaved a deep breath.

"What just..." Kurt began, then he noticed you kneeling over him, and he immediately started to blush and stammer.

"A-Amelia..." Kurt said. A moment later, his memories flooded back to him. He began to look around for Matilda, finally seeing her standing a short distance away. "I... lost. How did you...?" He paused again.

"I had always felt you were holding back in our sparring, but... you never told me you mastered any of the techniques you just displayed." Kurt then sighed.

Matilda continued to look at Nyx curiously, but she eventually turned towards her brother.

"I'm sorry. You're the older brother, so... I thought you should be the one who was always ahead? Or something like that." Matilda finally said, avoiding Kurt's gaze. A moment later she pointed towards Nyx.

"But nevermind that! He talked?"

When Kurt first let out a gasp of life, Amelia exhaled a breath that she did not realize she was holding. "You are going to be just fine, Kurt." Amelia smiled, giving him a tight squeeze before helping him slowly sit up.

When Mati claimed that Nyx could talk she almost dropped Kurt as her face went as red as her hair. She thought for a moment about playing it off as some kind of trick. But she realized how worried she was about these two as they were fighting. She didn't want to see them injured and now she felt bad about lying to them.

"Yes, Nyx did talk. He was given a number of gifts when we came across. He is like my guardian angel." Amelia smiled.

With your help, Kurt eventually managed to pick himself up, sitting down on the training grounds as he inspected his body.

"I don't... understand." He said as he checked his wounds. "I wasn't entirely sure what would happen if I went all out against my sister, but... I didn't expect being beaten, or... having my wounds completely healed right after."

"Nyx did that." Matilda said as she hesitantly made her way up to the two of you. She found it hard to look at her brother.

"W-well big bro?" She stammered.

"Well, what?" He replied curtly.

"You're not mad or anything then?" She asked.

"Well, I am a bit peeved that-" Kurt said.

"I saw how hard you worked, I didn't want to lessen that." Matilda said immediately interrupting him.

"-you hid your skills from me. I am your brother, I'm proud of you." Kurt continued without pausing.

For a moment both brother and sister watched each other, their eyes unreadable.

Amelia recognized this look from her own time with her younger brother. They had spent a lot of time together in the antique shop fighting and attempting to help their parents. Though Cameron had just as big a mouth as she did. She remembered going to his sporting events even at twelve he was sprouting like a tree. He got that from the father's side of the family and was well on his way to being massive by the time he was in high school.

It was interesting seeing the ghost of herself in both of her two friends. She could not help but laugh at the tension and the relief that Kurt was not injured. "In this kind of situation, it is best to hug and laugh it out. I think both of you did a splendid job, and there was no permanent harm done." She said. "So no hard feelings or guilt you to that's an order." She laughed glad that this whole scenario did not go horribly wrong.

"And maybe no more using real weapons for sparring like this anymore."

It was Kurt who broke the awkward stare between the siblings first.

"You heard your queen, Matilda." Kurt said sternly as he stood up, then warmed up a bit more as he smiled. "A hug?"

Matilda smiled in response, and wordlessly, she too stepped forward wrapping her arms around her brother. After a few moments, she grinned as her eyes went over to you.

"You're part of this too sis, come join us!" Matilda declared. Kurt immediately stiffened up.

Amelia, swept up in the emotions of imaging her own family joined in the hug without noticing Kurt's reaction. "I really do love you guys! Thank you for making being in this world so much easier." Due to the nature of the hug and the way they were positioned so that he directly brushed against her bust line.


Amelia held the hug for a few moments until she felt mist touch her eyes quickly wiping them away before either of them can notice. "Well, now that everyone is warmed up I say we head out to our destination. I've picked up the bow and arrows that I ordered. Though, this is mostly just training Nyx is going to do most of the fighting. Speaking of Nyx, I know this is a shock but I would prefer to keep the fact Nyx can talk a secret for now."

"A-Amelia?! Y-you're..." Kurt began to say, but he wasn't able to finish his sentence. Instead the man was simply turning more and more red.

Matilda seemed to catch what was going on, and instead only decided to pull everyone closer into the hug.

"Ehehe." She giggled, her eyes with a hint of mischief when she saw Kurt's distress.

Eventually Kurt had calmed down enough for the hug to proceed normally, and soon enough the the two siblings found themselves staring at Nyx curiously.

"We can keep that secret for you." Matilda said. "Nyx is something called a 'cat' right? Can they all talk, or is it just him? I want one too..."

"Nyx is special, to me." Amelia smiled. "I'm just glad that he had the power to help. That is why we are going out today. To give him more chances to train and grow, I'm also going to be practicing a new power as well. So really this is going to be a boring day for you guys just keeping things away from me."

"So, Mati, if you would rather stay here and prep for the party tonight I completely understand."

"Well... I don't like to fight, if I can help it, and the idea of setting up the party is a lot more appealing to me personally... I would love to accompany you, but I'd like to prepare all sorts of food and dishes for the party tonight! I can also invite people. Who did you plan on inviting?"

"It's meant to be a stargazing party, so I was hoping we could eat out in the gardens tonight."

"As for who I'm inviting the whole royal staff, of course, assuming they are not busy. Akari and Takeru, Father Barnabus, Father Blumenthal, Engberg, and Hathway, Thyra the Valkyrie, and Conrad."

"We can set up several blankets in the garden and have food and drinks." She smiles. "Why don't you see if you can get Akari, and Goddard to help you with everything as well?"

"That would be a great idea!" Matilda said. Kurt also brightened up when you mentioned the gardens. You recall the castle gardens being one of his favorite places to be on his own spare time.

Matilda repeated the names to ensure she got them all down.

"Alright! I'll be sure to get them too, and then send invites to everyone else you mentioned." Matilda said as she turned to head out of the courtyard.

When she was a few steps away, she turned her head towards her brother slightly and glanced towards him.

"Keep my big sister company! Don't leave her side!" She stated once before continuing her movement. As for Kurt he seemed to only blush more, and hesitantly look towards you.

"W-well... Where to my queen?"

"We're headed off to the beginner dungeon to train," she whispered conspitorall, directly into Kurt's ear before steeping back again.

"I was hoping you could show me the way since the guild hall said i needed to take a mission this month. And I wanted to train with Nyx; hopefully before the day ends we can see the dungeon core."

Your teasing actions only caused Kurt to brighten up more.

"Y-yes! Immediately!" Kurt responded as he forced a salute towards you. His face was completely red.

Soon enough you had gathered Kurt and Thyra with you. The valkyrie herself had already prepared her gear and was already asking Kurt about the details of the dungeon delve you were about to go in. Kurt had mentioned that the dungeon itself was only 3 rooms, and only spawns goblins so it was nothing major to worry about.

Thyra eventually nodded and agreed to come, mentioning that she would have loved to see Amelia fight, but she mentions that she regrets not being able to teach you more of handling the Spirit within you.

Kurt told you that the dungeon entrance was about half an hour walk at a quick pace eastwards from the city. There's a giant hill, and inside that hill is the entrance to the guild-protected dungeon for beginners. Kurt also mentioned to you that through the nearby forests are wolves and other woodland creatures.

Location: Outside Mendernich East Gates
Date: Day 12 - 8 AM

The group started to make their way towards the dungeon.

"Hero Am-" Thyra paused. "Liam the herbalist... Mayhaps thou would like to... practice long and hard tonight again?" She glanced at you, with a knowing smile.

"A fine man such as thyself wouldst like my company, true?"

 Amelia smiled, "The goal is to train until the party tonight, Thyra. We are going to have a stargazing party out in the garden. Of course, you are also invited along with a number of other people."

"Hopefully, bt the end of today both of us will have a better understanding of how to train. Right, Nyx?" Amelia takes her time breathing in the scent of the woods that was both extremely foreign and familiar at the same time. The forested suburbs of Seattle she imagined once looked like this.

"This really is a beautiful world all things considered." She mused out loud.
