Tales of the Guild (IC) / Rivalry [Aria backstory]
September 10, 2016, 02:30:49 PM
( This is a solo RP for Aria's backstory. Please don't post unless we speak about it first :D )

"Idiot."

"Imbecile!"

"Ugly hippo horse!"

"...What kind of insult is that?"

A cool breeze rolled its way through the lands of Eyadell, carrying along with it the scent of a summer rain.  Towering over the kingdom was a castle so tall and ornate, the citizens often thought the tip would lead them to heaven.

Every piece of stone was carved with intricate detail - Every window was stained glass with a flowery design, all sporting calming shades of blue and teal. It was an obvious homage to the unique plant life that coated the sides of buildings and neighboring forests. Much of the flowers and various vegetation would glow at night, showering the city in a color similar to that of the castle's windows.

It wasn't just the castle leaving the townsfolk in awe, though. The elven royalty inside were sights to behold themselves. Just as one would expect from their race, each had a beautiful, almost ethereal glow to them. The family consisted of a handsome king, a breath taking queen, and a young pair of adorable twin sisters.

"Hmph, as if you could think of a better insult." Seya huffed, her arms crossed. The young elf's eyes narrowed as she stared down a near mirror image or herself - Her sister, Aria. Both had been blessed with long silver locks which nearly met the floor. Aria shrugged at her sister's babbling, finding herself bored with the game. "Can we do something more fun?" Aria suggested, as she gently leaned herself against the windowsill. Deep purple eyes looked over the city. Few people were treading the streets, a light rain having herded most of them indoors.

Small drops of water tapped against Aria's nose, causing her to lightly blink but still remain by the window. "I think calling you names IS pretty fun!" Seya responded, sticking her tongue out in a silly manner. Seya looked to her only moments older sister with a different set of eyes. Despite being twins, Seya's eyes were an emerald green.

"You're so immature sometimes." Aria laughed. "This is why when the time comes, I'll run things, not you." Aria stated jokingly, although a hint of seriousness could be detected in her voice.

"Ha! You're too shy, stupid! You never talk to anyone, how could you possibly rule Eyadell?" Seya argued, "I'm the only one you even openly talk to!"

Aria didn't respond. She loved her sister more than anything, but knew that with Seya's carless nature and extrovert ways, she'd run Eyadell straight into the ground.

Aria had, on several occasions, spoken with her mother in private. Aria was quiet, but smart. She knew how to hold her own, and how to speak properly when actually needed. Her mother had asked Aria if she thought she was capable of taking care of Eyadell. Aria had responded without hesitation that she wouldn't let her mother, or father, down. Even if Aria seemed cold, her heart was always in the right place.

Seya threw a small cloth at Aria, before plopping back against her bed. Aria jumped, having been focused on the city below. "....Idiot." Aria mumbled as she carefully lay beside her sister. Aria gently took hold of Seya's hand, sighing. "Seya, you know no matter what, we'll rule together. I'll make sure that whatever decisions I make, they are run by you first." Aria said quietly, closing her eyes.

"You say that as if you've already been chosen." Seya responded, glancing at her sister.

Aria said no more, instead choosing to drift off to sleep. Seya pulled her hand away, eventually falling asleep herself.

Tales of the Guild (IC) / ::A Time of Great Harvest::
December 18, 2015, 10:11:16 PM
((This roleplay is for Ryine and Sophie. Others are welcome to join if they have ideas, but please talk to me first! ^ u^  ))

// Dearest Sophie,

It's been a while since your father and I have had you come and visit. I know you've been busy, I've gathered as much from the letters Mimic brings us. We don't really understand him in the way you seem to, but we'er always excited to see him.  As you know, it's almost time for us to begin harvesting the crops. The Gods of harvest must have been looking after us this year, things are the best they have ever been. However, your father and I have a favor to ask. While we are happy to see the farm grow, we also know it brings trouble. We were hoping you could bring a friend along, one of those strong warriors you always speak of. If you have time, maybe the two of you could watch over as we harvest. It would be at least a few days stay, up to a week, if need be. You won't need to help in the fields, just watching the stock at night would be most appreciated. Don't worry, we'll pay you and your friends for your time. As a bonus, you'll also get home cooked meals! I'm sure you miss that, right?

Love, a proud mother ♥
//

Sophie had packed the letter safely into her top drawer, just as she did with any letter her parents sent. It was rare for them to ask favors of her, but she knew very well how important it was for them to safely finish harvesting, and moving their crops to market. She used to help do it, after all. Sophie was quick to respond, sending Mimic out with another letter. She told him to go ahead and stay there, since she'd be heading that way soon anyway. Mimic loved the family farm. It was endless amounts of his favorite foods. Every time he came back to the Guild, it seemed as if the familiar had gained a pound or two.

Sophie had decided pretty quickly who'd she'd drag along for the little journey - Someone she'd grown to enjoy traveling with a lot, due to his positive energy and strong personality. Ryine!

"Oh, gosh, it's a little gloomy today, don't you think?" Sophie remarked as her and Ryine trekked through the forest trail. It hadn't started raining, but clouds hung ominously above them, threatening a downpour at any moment.

Tales of the Guild (IC) / Nyaoko's Grand Entrance
January 31, 2014, 11:44:21 PM
[[This is a freeform open to anyone ;D .]]

It was a gorgeous day! The sun's rays washed over Ternadan, bathing the city in its warmth. Everyone was out and about, happily taking in the sunshine as they completed their daily tasks. Marching ever so confidently through the crowd was an unfamiliar face...and race. The girl's fluffy tail swished to and fro, dark feline ears poking from her light blonde hair. While many races graced the streets of Ternadan, few people had ever seen a creature such as her. Coming from quite a ways away, it was rare to see nekomimi so far from home. She showed no sign of confusion, or fear. Rather ? It looked as if she knew exactly where she was headed. Trailing behind the unique creature was another similar to herself. He was quite a bit smaller, however, and seemed to stick very close to the taller female.

It took little time for the nekomimi to reach her destination, a smile playing across her features as her gloved hands reached for the guild's doors. Finally...they had made it! The Guild of Galas'nor!

The journey had been long, and tiring...but, hopefully, it would be worth it. Her confidence only grew as she walked through the entrance, her tail perked as she greeted the people, who she assumed, would be her new guild mates...

However, the words she spoke would be understood by little, to none.

[spoiler=Translation]Hello, guild members! My name is Nyaoko Nyun! It is a pleasure to meet you! I come from the far East. I have been sent by the royal family to make connections here in Ternadan, as well as the neighboring cities. By joining you, I also wish to improve my skills in combat. Although I am a seasoned fighter, my family feels you can always be stronger! Please, accept this as a token of friendship - A gift, if you will, from the kingdom of Aztia.[/spoiler]

Finishing her speech, the neko dropped a dead bird on the floor, a shiny red ribbon wrapped around it. She then proceeded to execute a low bow, tapping her younger companions shoulder as if encouraging him to do the same. A large scythe sat at Nyaoko's back, chakrams at her belt. The weapons, like herself, were different.

Resuming an upright position, she looked at those around her expectantly.

Side stories / [Club] Flower Arranging
December 06, 2013, 01:39:34 AM
Serena's anxiety about the clubs only got stronger as she waited for the first meetings to actually begin. This wasn't just going to be something she did for fun...No, she had to be amazing at it. She had to make sure she was the best, or at least, close to the best. To most, flower arranging wasn't a big deal - To Serena, the club would be a life or death social situation. She stood before the club room's door, the voices she heard coming from within making her hesitate. "Oh, just calm down, you already know the basics..." She thought. The moment after signing up, Serena had begun her research. She had no intention of entering the club unprepared. The special foams, warm leafs versus cool, the little knowledge she had gave her a bit of comfort.

Finally mustering up the courage to move forward, Serena carefully opened the door, being sure to put on her brightest smile as she entered the room.

Personality
Kind, sweet, smart. Serena has a coolness about her that those who don't know her personally find very alluring. Blessed with good looks, a fun personality, and great grades, many think of her as an idol. But, what most don't know is her entire life story is a complete lie. Serena is  a pathological liar. That so called mansion she inhabits doesn't exist ? Nor do those weekly trips to Hawaii. Serena has dug herself so deep into her own fantasy life, even she herself has a hard time finding the real truth.

Background/ general personal history
Serena has moved around quite a bit in her life time. Once her mother and father divorced, Serena and her mom spent a lot of time looking for places to live, mainly due to the fact they were almost always  too broke to afford anything decent. Over time, Serena slowly began to develop the habit of lying to her classmates at the different schools she went to. In general, it didn't matter ? they'd likely have to leave again anyway. But, even in their current home, the habit has continued. Once a week, Serena goes on a long walk to the next town for her part time job. She lies, telling the others she goes on vacation. Serena and her mother live on the outskirts of town ? She usually takes a long, round about way to get there so nobody knows where she really lives. She lies about just about anything, whether it be something big or small. The habit is so engrained that, most of the time, she doesn?t even realize it's happening. She has a baby brother named Derek as well. Her mother usually stays home taking care of him. Because of her fantasy life, and constant moving, Serena has no close friends. Her family is as good as it gets.

Close Bonds
Her mother ? Karry Jay +5 (She has an anxiety disorder - She's afraid of other people)
Her baby brother ? Derek Jay +5

As you enter the shop, the sound of clanking bottles can be heard. The room is well lit, and very organized. Each bottle and scroll seems to be set up alphabetically. To the left of the room are potion bottles of all shapes and sizes, and to the right, scrolls.

The shopkeeper, who had been dusting off some shelves moments ago, puts down the task at hand to quickly come and greet you. ?O-oh! Welcome um...? She says, her stuttering giving off her obviously shy personality. ?I-is there anything u-um..I can help you f-find?? She adjusts her glasses, although she never makes direct eye contact with you.

QuoteYou may sell items to this shop if it's something you think they would buy. The shopkeepers use their own discretion if they want to buy it and think they can still make a profit. The price that they will always accept is roughly 30% of the items price. There may be cases where they pay for higher. It's more advisable to trade with players.
