"What do you have in your pack that they want so badly? Just dig it out and feed them, the eat literally everything."

Vondur carefully reaches in his pack and grabs 4 rations and throws them over to one edge of the room

     The goblin dogs eagerly chase the rations into the corner and begin to tear at the food, hissing and quarreling with each other as they eat.  They seem to no longer be paying any of you any mind.

"We should keep moving inside before they finish," Riven says motioning to the rest of the group.

Melody followed quietly behind. Though, she held her breath and made a face when the goblin dogs created the cloud of dander. The halfling nodded at Riven's suggestion. She was used to a measure of filth, but not this much. The young priestess always tried her best to maintain cleanliness, so she couldn't help but tighten her mouth in slight disgust.

     As the party makes its way into the entrance hall everyone is able to get a better look at the interior. The floors are bare stone tiles that are worn and dusty but otherwise intact. The walls are lined with carved stone statues of full-plate clad hellknights which appear to have gone unmolested through the years.  Directly in front of you, carved in bas relief and encompassing the section of wall flanked on either side by closed doors, is a large sigil of a sunburst where rather than beams of light there are instead nails radiating from the sun.

Spira rummages through her pack for a moment and withdraws a torch, then lights it. "There. That should clear the gloom somewhat."

     The sigil is the emblem of the Hellknight Order of the Nail.  They are known for aiding local law enforcement, whether invited or not, in the area they inhabit.  Their motto is "Savagery must be quelled in the land, home, and mind." They are currently located to the west in Varisia near the city of Korvosa in Citadel Vraid: the only known Hellknight citadel outside of Cheliax or one of it's tributaries.[/info]

"This keep belonged to the Order of the Nail." Spira began, then mentioned some of the other information she was able to recall. "Not that it matters much to what we're here for."

"oh right the ol order of the nail hmmm they umm they ocassionly help the law around town perhaps they won't kill us on the spot" vondur looks around with a bit of a chill

"I'm going to assume... That since the fort has long been abandoned to monsters and our goblin patrons that we don't need to worry about that."

The question now is do we want to go left or right of the sun with nails in it?" Riven asked dryly as he listened to the two of them talk. The barbarian was on high alert now that they were inside the keep as he watched the shifting shadow from the torch dance against the walls awaiting the hammer to drop a second time.

"My instinct tells me to go left, but I don't have any evidence to back that up."
