"Haha! I'm glad I got a ton of ye' lot to 'em giant hogs! Took a bit trying to get them trained enough to follow orders... But, it's ready!" The prum named Jobin yelled loudly to the gathered crowds. "First off, I gotta be thanking Sieg, and many others 'ere for 'elpin' with the taming! Couldn't have this event with ya. Anyways!" Jobin said in flourish as he raised both his hands up in the air. A crow getting startled off its perch at the sudden movement.

"Anyone 'ere got the guts tae ride a giant hog? Got prizes for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners...! Likewise, I'd be starting a betting pool!"

You can choose to participate in the race, just post here in OOC or IC that you are doing so. If IC, go up and sign your name. If you choose to participate, you will gain CR 1/2 for simply joining. 200,000 vals for 1st place. 100,000 vals for 2nd place. 50,000 vals for 3rd place.

Steps to Race:
1) Roll initiative!
2) Choose double move or Run move. If Double move, roll a DC 10 Handle Animal check, and the pig will move its full movement. If Run, roll a DC 15 Handle Animal check. But if you fail, no progress is made. If you miss the DC by 4 or more, roll a Ride check. DC 5, or fall off the pig.

Any special options under Ride is applicable.

There will be things such as obstacles.

Betting
Or you can choose to bet on the winner. You can place as many bets as you want into the betting pool, for whichever character(s) you want to bet on. If you want to bet, individuals will need to pay 1,000 vals and bet on a particular racer. If that racer loses, they lose out on the 1,000 vals. However, if that racer wins the tournament, then the pool is split evenly between all entries who bet on that racer (so if you have two entries, and there are only 3 entries altogether for that winner, then you will earn 2/3 of the accumulated vals). With potentially 400+ people attending, the potential payoff can be huge![/info]
