Kedric was surrounded, a pack of rabid Poochyena growled at him and his sandshrew as the made passes, launching attack after attack. He was being wore down, unsure how much longer he would last. It was then that he saw her. A girl he hadn't seen around too much but seemed to be a Xan Academy student. The pack of Poochyena began to snarl at her as well, her Vulpix following at her heels. These Pokemon had to be stopped.

Kedric Larns

"And I am not but one who digs!" Kedric exclaimed as he took his place beside the other student. He had a surge of adrenaline then now that there was one other here. He didn't know where she came from, or how she managed to find him just in the nick of time, but it was a blessing that he would question later.

In truth, Kedric never really got along with the other students so well, except for a select few who happened to just be around every so often, and Kedric didn't really know how to proceed or even suggest on what to do next. Most of the battles he'd ever fought in had just been him and Digger by his side.

As the Poochyena continued to stalk them, Kedric knew he had to get used to it, and even more than that, excel at it.

"Lets see how well these Puppies hold out!"

Digger uses Swift:

Her shoulders sagged in relief as Kedric seemed to perk up at her arrival, Ammy yipping her own approval at Collette's feet. Admittedly, Collette was still very new to all of this and the sudden development was slightly, understandably, overwhelming. She'd not had a lot of opportunities to battle, especially not as a team, but now was certainly not the time to dwell on insecurities and the fretting voice in the back of her mind.

She had no choice but to succeed, there was no other alternative! Not to mention, how would she probe the boy for answers to her questions if they didn't? Why we're there holes all over and what exactly had he been searching for if anything at all? She knew he'd dug them, his peculiar exclamation had told her as much, but her natural curiosity wanted to know why. For now, though, her questions would have to wait, she could ask as many as he'd permit after they were both safe.

"Alright, Ammy! Burn it down, let's take them out quickly!" The  Vulpix chirped happily in response and focused her attention on a target of her own.

The Poochyena are surprised by the sudden counter attack, Digger's swift caught a Poochyena off guard, and while it was reeling from the blow Kedric landed one of his own. Ammy's ember found its mark as well, leave two of the Poochyena in a world of hurt. However, the pack encouraged those that had been hurt, and all five lunged at their targets. Two slammed into Digger, one into Kedric, and two into Ammy.

Kedric Larns

The rocket grunt's attack landed, but immediately after one of the other Poochyena's used that moment to strike, and due to Kedric's stretched position, he didn't have enough time to get back his balance, and he found himself being knocked away with the Poochyena pushing him back.

"Alright Puppy!" Kedric said as he quickly picked himself back up. He kept his distance from that Poochyena who just attacked him, and looked towards the first one he attacked.

"Come into this ball!"
