Miera continued to crouch down. So long as the Shroomish did nothing, she would do nothing, too. She had patience. Ninjas had to have patience. Sometimes, missions meant waiting for hours, being ready for anything, even things going from nothing to something in the blink of an eye. Truth be told, she wanted this Shroomish, so beating it up until it was a pulp of a mushroom was a pointless endeavor. The little guy was obviously intelligent, thinking over its options and remaining cautious. She used to run, too, back when she was an untrained young girl being loomed over by scary older Team Magma members who really should have known better. Now, she could kick their butts with no problem.

[spoiler=If the Shroomish also does nothing for a time.]This was getting ridiculous. She had patience, but that did not mean she could wait forever for a Pok?mon to make up its mind. "I can have something nice made for you and your buddy out of one of those mushrooms Vesper took if you just get in the ball." At first, she tried to sound nice, but 'nice' was a difficult thing for her. By mid-sentence, her 'nice' words sounded forced, and by the end, she had completely given up.

The offer was strange to the Shroomish, but though it didn't quite understand, it read enough cues to know something was being offered. The little creature slowly stopped shivering in Miera's presence and it stood still watching her silently. Slowly the Pok?mon stepped forward and tapped on the ball. Within moments the red glow of light surrounded it, and a few more moments after that it was captured.

FINALLY. "..." Now she had to figure out what sort of thing she could make for the Shroomish to keep her end of the bargain.
