Katrias Lyseer

#16
Katrias Lyseer / Golas Rorn / Nyuko Nyun

"Golas! Nyuko! Get out of that freezing mist!"

"If I didn't know any better, one of their turkeys has the exact same spell I do. Be careful not getting hit a second time, don't go running into my spell either." With that Katrias sent off another mist spell at the fighters about to engage, carefully placing the spell so it wouldn't hit any of her comrades. Her spell had to count, though they were only turkeys, the fact they wielded such weapons and magic did not settle well with the young prodigy. She muttered some words again, and like before a spell blasted from her fingertips towards the group that was just about to clash.

Meanwhile, Golas had just started to recover from his queasiness, though when the turkey's spell had fired off it caused his limbs to further buckle down. Nyuko had been likewise affected, but with sheer skill an determination, he used himself as a brace for the large man, helping him out of the mist of cloud.

The large man's face still green, but slowly and surely the two got out of the mist, their appendages freezing, and even with some icicles on Golas' beard. When they got out of the spell's area of effect, Golas took two of his fingers into his hand and whistled loud and clear.

"I can't let my companions get the better of me..." In the distance there was a galloping sound getting nearer and nearer, and eventually an armored steed appeared before for them. Nyuko glanced in awe, having not seen Golas' war horse yet. A moment later, Golas heaved himself on top of the horse in one fluid motion.

"After all, I'm Golas. The strongest and handsomest in the guild!" The large man grinned as he clicked his tongue, and started to laugh maniacally charging his beast into the fray. His transformation was tremendous, where moments ago he was vomiting, now on his steed it looked as if Golas was never affected in the first place.

Nyuko glanced at Katrias, his eyes full of wonder, sparkle, and awe.

"Nyahahaaha!" Nyuko said in his best impression of Golas. Further on ahead, Golas' laughter echoed in the battlefield.

"BUAHAHAHAHA!"

"NYAHAHAHAHA!" And with that, the two warriors were off, heading straight into the fray, Golas laughing maniacally, while Nyuko making his best impersonation.

"Idiots. A whole bunch of idiots."
Katrias: Cast Kelgore's Grave Mist at the northern battles. Avoid companions.
Nyuko and Golas: Get out of the mist, and get as close to the enemies.
Idiots. A whole bunch of idiots.

Lance

"Free at last!" Lyolf exclaimed, as he ran in full-swing away from that accursed town square housing a new high-class anti-magic field created specifically for this very day. For he, along with several other rather upstanding mage-folk (by his own opinion), had been rounded up, bound securely and left to rot directly in the center of that accursed place, where they were placed under close surveillance and kept far away from anything even remotely resembling a turkey-even a rock.

Thinking back, the elven magus barely suppressed a chuckle when he recalled the sudden panic that occurred whenever his hand had reached out towards an innocuous brown-colored rock. It was an action that he took quite frequently during his short captivity, and oh how he relished it! Several of his captors would later claim to have suffered a mild heart-attack from those very actions though and to this day live in fear of magi, their ever-reaching hands, and those horrid brown-colored rocks.

But as if to pour oil on an already smoldering hot fire, Lyolf?s fellow mages passed sudden, unnerving glances with one other, exchanging thoughts and ideas with their eyes and facial features alone. The silence lasted only a couple of short moments, but tension filled the air and the villagers clung feebly to their signs, their hopes, and to each other in dire anticipation of their captive?s schemes. They were already at their wit?s end when all of a sudden the mages, as one, gazed at the numerous stones around them and nodded solemnly.

For they had witnessed the young magus? antics and being the upstanding citizens that they were, the captured mages quickly followed suite. Ignoring the fact that they were bound, gagged, and should have been incapable of moving, the magi exploded into action and began clawing, inching, and biting their way towards their newfound objective with whatever means they had.

Thus began the frantic struggle towards any rock, pebble, or boulder nearby, much to the horror of the townsfolk. It all made a rather grand, if not surreal, scene, as both sides chaotically sought dominance over the rocks. If Jin had been present, he?d had made a killing selling tickets. Fortunately, however, the man was not.

As for Lyolf, he made his escape.

His familiar Uli, a pitch-black raven, came in with perfect timing. Just as the chaos reached its peak and his many captors were too busy keeping their precious rocks away from the clutches of their tenacious captives, the raven?s darkened form flew in from a shaded rooftop, beak glinting in the darkness. A few quick stabs later and Lyolf?s bonds fell in tatters around him. Several magi, noticing this new development, gave the elf a wink and a thumbs-up, as he immediately made off to the guild hall, sparing his fellows a wave in return. Some gleefully waved back, their bonds having mysteriously come undone prior, before diving gleefully back into the fray.

And though he was not there to witness the event in its entirety, Lyolf later heard that many new fears and nightmares were born that day. For it was said that many of those present lost their irrational fear of turkey and all bird-kind; instead they learned to fear something else, something more.

---

?Just my luck..? Lyolf muttered, as he rounded a bend only several short minutes after his great escape. When the elf finally got his bearings, he came face-to-face with the guild?s newest crisis against its most hated foe-Turkeys. It appeared as if the town?s efforts proved fruitless. Combat was already underway, the first shots had already been fired however?

It seemed as if he had arrived just in time for the opening bombardment.

?Either the gods hate me or they?ve a unique way of showing their love. Regardless?? the magus trailed off, his eyes shining a brilliant azure and his arms trailing one formation no proper magus can do without.

?Magis R?s!?

Kin grinned as he saw his bird-mimic step within range, "Heh, you may act like me, but your charge had no thought to it but revenge. Know your place, damned turkey!" With that, Kin took a few steps and whipped his blade toward the charging fowl. "Flash!" Kin roared as Azure Fury burst into a blue light, seething with electricity. Visual definition blurred around Kin's arms and blade alike, as blue streaks of light crossed over the turkey's form before Kin backed slightly away to avoid any counters.

Upon completing his attack, Kin noticed Lyolf entering the fray. "HEY! LYOLF! THANKS FOR THE TURKEYS LAST YEAR, THEY CAME IN HANDY!" Kin said semi-mockingly, knowing how vaguely disgusting it was, as he pointed to the burning, year-old, oiled-drenched turkeys Lyolf had gifted him the year before.

Annia Siadon

Annia Siadon

The freezing mist was chilling, and she couldn't help but feel the wave of fatigue come over her. The spell bite into her, and though she wore various layers of armor and protection, it did little to ward off against the cold. But it wasn't her well-being that worried Annia, it was for her friend who sat invisible on her shoulder (a place Callista seemed to love sitting). If only for her sake, Annia pushed on outside of the freezing mist.

There was still something bothering her however, and as she cleared the fog, she asked Jin, her katana, for advice.

What do you make of it Jin? These turkeys. There was a pause, but eventually Jin spoke, or rather telepathically spoke.

They are wary, desperate, and their circumstances forcing their actions. They were created and raised to be slaughtered, and they fight against the hand that dealt them such a path in life. They are without a home, but they still have a purpose Annie. Fear worse the enemy with nothing to lose, but everything to gain.

"But revenge is not something worth gaining." Annia said out-loud, though quietly to herself. A moment later she had begun a prayer and a spell.

Where danger abounds,
And death draws near,
Show us where the evil lurks.
For we have nothing to fear.

Ella

Callista Fae

Hanging out on Annia's shoulder had started to get boring, and now, there were turkeys within her range. "Finally!" Callista gleefully squeaked to herself before propelling herself forward and up, wrapping her wings about her after picking up enough speed.

"Turkeys, turkeys! Look here!" She called out. Reaching the height of her flight, she suddenly stretched out her wings as if showing off a magnificent display and catching herself from falling back down. Those who had taken on quests with her before, and perhaps some who had been told of her actions during missions or who witnessed her act on New Years the previous year in the fashion show, should know to look away rather than look to see why she was trying to draw the attention of all the turkeys to herself. Unfortunately, not everyone knew about the fae's dazzling beauty.
Callista: Moves 10 feet southeast and uses her special ability of Dazzling Beauty. All creatures within 30 feet of the Faerie who look at her must make a Will save (DC=20) Those who fail the save are dazzled for one round.
Nyuko Nyun

#24
Nyuko Nyun

"Nyahahaha!" Nyuko laughed as he followed close behind Golas' warhorse. He found the fight exhilarating, and seeing up-close the prowess of his fellow guild members, he couldn't help but have a sense of pride. He had already seen a few others fight, notably Serena in her dance of swords, but this was different. He felt pride in himself, in the allies around him, and pride in the guild that he was a part of.

He cleared the freezing mist in no time, and when he emerged, he brandished his two claw weapons looking for his first target. But there was a call from one of his guild members. It was the small thing that hovered around Annia and at times the ranger in their guild, who was named 'Aria' or something similar - Nyuko never really talked to her yet. The small thing called out telling the turkeys to look at her.

If Nyuko had paid closer attention to his surroundings, he would have noticed some of his allies look away and shield their eyes, but to Nyuko all he saw were sparkles. Dazzling and beautiful sparkles emanating from that small and winged creature. Nyuko couldn't take his eyes off, and he felt his heart skip a beat from her beauty. His claws rested on his side, back into a passive position, as he continued to stare feeling a slight warmth on his cheeks.

It wasn't just any small thing. It was a gorgeous and beautiful small thing. He felt his cheeks redden even more, and his heartbeat starting to race.
Spend the turn gawking and falling in love.
Katrias Lyseer

Katrias Lyseer

"Idiot, don't look at her!" But it was too late, Nyuko had already locked his eyes on the fairy. Katrias had made it a point to start learning as much as she could of her companions and getting reports from each mission as they were available, but apparently it wasn't something everyone did. What else could she have possibly expected.

The fight had been going strong, each of the combatants holding their own, but to Katrias she only had one target in mind: the spellcasters. The havoc created by that turkey who wore the exact same hat she did, was more than enough to warrant Katrias' attention. Focusing on her magic, she activated her gloves to bring even further power to her next spell.

"I like my turkey fried."

Zultar

Zultar had slayed the turkey in front of him, turning his short stubby head to the nearest meat-source-turkey in sight. Zultar was content with exterminating these walking piles of meat-turkey, that is, they were plump, plenty, and pointlessly gobbling all the time. In other words, a perfectly fine reason to start slaying the cute, adorable birdies. Zultar, however, was stunned by the next turkey in front of him. Expecting yet another voluptuous  stack of pure , DAZZLING, meat, a small turkey, stood in the distance, "mocking him". It's girth was non-existent, nor did it have any chewy muscle in its place.

"This... WHAT IS THIS!!" And Zultar could not get over the small excuse of a turkey, and charged yelling.

As one most of the turkeys looked at Callista and were stunned by the fairy's immense beauty. However, there was one particular small turkey who wasn't affected. In fact that small little turkey look annoyed if not just a bit jealous. The small turkey flew (yes, the turkey flew), and hovering only ten feet away from Callista, did the turkey squawk loudly enough for everyone to hear.

At that same moment, one of the turkeys behind them had cast a spell on himself, and moved forward with a trail of shadows in its wake. Likewise the large vomiting turkey had recovered and moved out of the freezing mist Katrias has cast. The spellcasting turkey blasted another spell, though this time aimed at Katrias.

"most likely some dark brooding story that is not worth caring about." Kryas chucked just take them down fast one or two might not be an issue but if they swarm you it will be a problem.
