Jin to take their turn.

Lance

The situation appeared grim. Already, the merchants had lost two of their number with only a single downed opponent to show for it. Even Jin, the sole remaining representative of the league had suffered significant damage leading up to this point. And though the crowd was still cheering and shouting its support their way, the cheers now felt empty and the support was anything but strong.

Even now, they shouted for death and Jin had to wonder which - His or his opponents?

Either way, they seemed to desire a quick end to this battle, a feeling the armored merchant shared though not for the same reasons. Judging by the current situation, however, the match was already decided. Thus, he couldn't blame the crowd for believing the matter settled, the key moments already past.

In any case, he was still faced with three formidable opponents. Whether it was in enchanted gear, numerical superiority, or even in sheer size, he was at a clear disadvantage against the opposition. Even worse, from now on he had to deal with the current ordeal alone.

However, Jin's resolve remained firm. He understood full well that the odds were stacked against him but that did little to sway him from his path.

After all, he still had a duty to fulfill.
Initial Stance: Stance of the Defending Shell
Active Soulmelds: Mantle of Flame (4/4), Incarnate Avatar (3/3), Therapeutic Mantle (0/3), Lightning Gauntlets (2/3 Chakra Bind on Hands)

Free Action: Jin takes a 5 ft step SE
Swift Action: From there, Jin activates Defending the Pride
Full-Round Action: Finally, Jin uses the warder recovery method to enter his Defensive Focus and recover Encouraging Roar, Silver Knight's Blade, and Defending the Pride
Discipline: Golden Lion (Boost); Level: 2
Initiation Action: 1 swift action
Range: 60-ft.
Target: Allies
Duration: One round

DESCRIPTION

With a cry to defend themselves from incoming attacks, the inspirational words of the disciple aid his allies in their defense. As a swift action, the initiator grants all allies within 60-ft. a +4 morale bonus to their AC for one round.

At 1st level, the defensive prowess of the warder is second to none, allowing her to focus her actions purely on defending himself and her allies in ways that cannot be replicated. The warder gains the Combat Reflexes feat as a bonus feat, using her Intelligence modifier in place of her Dexterity modifier to determine the number of additional attacks of opportunity she may make each round.

When recovering maneuvers as a full round action, the warder sets up a defensive perimeter around himself to defend her allies, increasing her threatened area by 5 ft. for every 5 initiator levels she possesses. Until the beginning of her next turn, she may make attacks of opportunity against any opponent in this threatened area that provokes attacks of opportunity. She may move as part of these attacks of opportunity, provided her total movement before her next turn does not exceed her speed (his movement provokes attacks of opportunity as normal). Additionally, while using defensive focus, the warder adds her Intelligence modifier plus her class level to her CMD for the purposes of defending against enemies trying to use the Acrobatics skill to prevent her from getting attacks of opportunity against them.

At 10th level, her defensive focus improves further, causing the ground within her melee reach to be treated as if it were difficult terrain, hampering her foes' movement around him. If a foe tries to move through a space within her reach, the movement through those squares costs double (x2). Additionally, while using her defensive focus to make an attack of opportunity, her movement does not provoke attacks of opportunity.

For a warder to recover expended maneuvers, she must take stock of her situation to plan for her next movement. By focusing entirely on a defensive position to prepare her next move, she is able to regain maneuvers expended to assist her to victory. By taking a full round action to plan her next move (activating her defensive focus class feature, see below), she recovers a number of expended maneuvers equal to her Intelligence modifier (minimum of 2). Alternately, she may take a brief pause in battle and recover a single maneuver of her choosing by spending a standard action on her turn.

Nyuko Nyun

They were winning! And Nyuko tried to keep up the momentum, as he trained his eyes on the armored man next. But in a moment the balance of the scale shifted. He noticed Ryine who managed to double back, swing his weapon at Jin, but was scorched by a jet of fire moments after. Just like that, Ryine was gone, vanished as he was taken by the teleportation badge they each wore. Nyuko frowned at first, but gulped as he realized that Jin was preparing himself again. If Ryine was gone, he was next.

He glanced back at Wolfrin who stood a distance away, and then back to the imposing figure which was Jin. Normally, Nyuko wouldn't have had any chance against the merchant. In sword skills alone Nyuko might have just enough of what it takes to match Jin, but it was all of Jin's seemingly magical equipment that sprung forth that would decide the battle. On a normal day he would have already lost.

But today wasn't a normal day. It was the semifinals. And he swore to himself that he'd make it to the end.

Nyuko crossed both of his claw blades together, Frozen Edge and Lightning Dance.

And even if he didn't make it, he'd do his best.

Nyuko Nyun

Grabbing his two blades, they sparked with elemental energies. Nyuko knew this would be their only chance at winning, and even though the chances were small, he had to take it. He rolled forward, doing his best to dance into range. Jin had heavy armor, after all all that weight would slow him down, and Nyuko planned to use that to his advantage.

But all of a sudden Jin was there. Nyuko hesitated, not believing for a moment that the armored man could suddenly change his position so quickly.  Nyuko attempted to roll his body out of the way in midair, but it wasn't enough. He felt the sting of the attack hit as Jin's blade connected deep into his arm.

[error]Nyuko takes 36 damage.[/error]He steeled himself from the pain as he saw the ground rush up to him. He couldn't let his momentum waiver however, and as he fell, he rolled once bringing himself back up to level and swung his blades around, attacking the now closer Jin. He grit his teeth knowing full well the blast of fire that would strike next.

Nyuko Nyun

His sword connected, and Nyuko would have grinned in satisfaction as the enchantments on his weapon took effect as frost attacked where his blade hit. Unfortunately, Nyuko was already at his limits. He would have never guessed a single blow would do so much damage, and as the flames started to pour forth from Jin's mantle, Nyuko knew he wouldn't have very much longer. He managed to glance at Wolfrin who still stood at a fair distance away.

It hurt to speak, and he wasn't sure if his voice carried any sound at all with the pain bearing down on him from both his arm, and now the flames.

"Win for us-nya."

And with that he was gone.

Throndir

"AMAZING! Who could have thought the battle would dwindle from a three versus one, to a duel between Jin and Wolfrin!" The announcer exclaimed. The crowd was in a frenzy as well, cheering for the splendid show.
