This roleplay is when Diana and Desmond were six years old. Before jumping in, make sure your character worked or lived with the family during this time.
Diana Jameson

Tick... Tock... Tick... Tock... Diana Jameson sighed. How long were they going to be gone? Her father could not keep Desmond to himself all day, it simply was not fair. Who else would the girl play with? Desmond was her best and only friend in this world. Sure, there were a few other children living on or near the estate, but they were either several years older or babies. The older girls would not want to play the same games as she did. In fact, last time she tried playing with them, they talked about boys the whole time. Why would anyone want to talk about boys? Boys had cooties! Aside from Desmond, of course. He was safe for Diana, only because he was her twin, a male version of herself. It was like he was her, but in a separate body and a boy.

Tick... Tock... Tick... Tock... Gah! It was not fair! How come Daddy would not take her fishing, too? She did not mind if the fishes were slimy and wriggled a lot! Not if she were with Desmond! He would protect her from the little sea monster babies! Diana turned from the window she had been staring out and slumped into the chair she had been peering over the back of, her arms were crossed and she there was a huge pout on her face.

"Stupid. Stupid. Stupid! He better not get eaten by the sea monster!" Diana said to no one in particular. "I shall never forgive him if he does!" Water formed in her eyes and the girl quickly wiped it away. She would not cry for him if he got eaten, either. It would be his own fault for going to such a dangerous place. But still... It would mean that she would never get to see him again. Worried, the young twin quickly returned to her original position, eyes flicking to and fro, watching for any sign of the car her father and brother had drove away in. Maybe they would catch so many fishes that they would return soon! Her father had said before dinner, but maybe they would return before lunch!

It's not fair! Rina thought as she stormed out of the kitchen. She had found a cupcake on kitchen table, and being hungry, she went ahead and ate it. Her mom had caught her in the middle of a bite however, and told her that the cupcake wasn't for her. Apparently it was for the young Jameson daughter, Diana.

It's always about the Jamesons. This is for the Jamesons. That is for the Jamesons. And this. And that. And This. And of course that! She mulled over her thoughts. It was true that her parents both worked and lived on the Jameson estate; the lord even gracious enough to let their daughter, Rina, live on the estate with them, but Rina couldn't help but feel as if her parents never truly gave her enough attention. Day in and day out was always the same thing. It was always about the Jamesons.

And now I have to watch over that Jameson girl! She never really talked to the young girl before. They were four years apart, and though Rina lived on the estate ever since the yound Jameson daughter was born, she found it hard to relate to the younger girl. Though, in all honesty, Rina found it hard to relate with others in the first place. She didn't like talking or being social, she preferred just being able to watch and observe. But she certainly did not want to watch nor observe any Jameson.

They have a ton of maids! They should just let one of them look after her. Of course Rina had tried to argue to her mother, her parents being the few she talked openly with, but her mother told her that it was best that she accompany the Jameson daughter for the rest of the day. The lord and his son had left out to go on a fishing trip that day, and though Rina did not want to, she was eventually told to "take care" of the young Jameson girl at least until the lord and his son had come home.

Better that way too. Those two always play with each other. She thought, thinking of all the times she watched the Jameson children, Diana and Desmond, play all sorts of silly games.

Finally, after her thoughts went full circle, she had finally found that Jameson girl. She was standing in front of a window just over-looking the front yard, and likewise the road that eventually lead up to the Jameson gatehouse and from there to the outside world. The young girl was looking out the window. She eyed the young girl, calming at the sight of the seemingly delicate young girl.

Of course, just slightly, the young girl was still a Jameson after all.

Rina sighed as she pulled forth the other cupcake that her mom had given her as a replacement. She was shy around strangers, adults, and boys, but children were a different matter altogether. Yet her voice still came out as quiet, seemingly gentle, as she slid out the plate with the cupcake towards the Jameson daughter, making a light sliding sound as it sped across the floor.

"Food...?" Her voice was soft.

Diana was still going back and forth from worry, to anger, to sadness as she waited for her brother and father to return. She wished her mother had not had to leave. They had made plans to have a girls' day out as well, but there was some emergency with her mother's family that she did not think would be good to bring Diana around. The boys had already left, and had gone in the opposite direction her mother needed to go, so the six year old was left in the care of the staff. What fun.

"Food...?" Came a soft, familiar voice from behind her. The female twin jumped and quickly turned to look at Rina. Food? That's right! She had not eaten breakfast yet. That little reminder made her stomach growl, letting her know it disapproved of her waiting so long to feed it.

"Shut up, you!" The child told her stomach, looking down at it and making fists. She disliked the sound of rumbling bellies. It frightened her sometimes, especially when it was not her belly making the sounds... Even more especially if it were dark outside. It always sounded like a monster were in there, ready to burst out to eat whatever may be in its path. Or worse, eat up the person it was residing in from the inside out and then go on after other people. It scared Diana to think of such things, but she could not help it. When she had told her parents, they had said that she had better make sure the monster was kept fed, then.

Quickly, the young girl snatched up the cupcake being offered and took a huge bite of it. She didn't want to get eaten from the inside out! Diana ignored Rina as she continued to stuff her mouth full, eating the cupcake as fast as she could so the stomach monster would not decide it was time to start feasting on her. She was sure the older girl would understand that she could not talk while her mouth was full and that she would not pause in eating until there was none left for fear of the stomach monster. The red headed girl had probably known the danger Diana was in and came to her rescue, just in time! Diana would have to reward her later.

Finally finishing her small meal, Diana looked at Rina. "Thank you! I hope the stomach monster likes cupcake." She wondered if she should feed it more, since the cupcake was smaller than her usual breakfast and she was sure the monster was near starving because she had waited so long. Rina would know, she had more experience with this kind of thing. "Should I feed it more?" As if on queue, her stomach grumbled some more. Frightened, Diana grabbed Rina's hand and started to pull her towards the kitchens. "Come on! We need to feed it more! I don't want it to eat me!"

All Rina could do as the young girl pulled her away was close her eyes tight in apparent apprehension; she was oh so very confused.

She was still trying to understand what happened just moments before. It was true that Rina was more than a bit annoyed. Perhaps in her own way of "getting back", instead of passing the cupcake to the young girl, she simply slid it along. She didn't want to be another maid of the Jameson family after all. Not did she have any plans to do so. Rina was certain however, that her voice held no malice or even any hint of stress, so it had caught her by surprise when she heard what Diana said next.

"Shut up, you!" Diana had said as Rina watched he young girl tighten her fists.

Needless to say, Rina was perplexed, shocked, and more than a bit guilty. Her angrier thoughts at the Jameson family was quickly replaced.

I'm so sorry Diana! I didn't mean to. I should have handed you the cupcake! Next time I'll do so. I'll even get you the most wonderful cupcake in the world! Rina was about to ask for forgiveness, she had even managed to begin with a "Sor-" when all of a sudden Diana started to eat the cupcake with the most vigor Rina had ever seen. Within a few moments what was left of the cupcake, that mom had given to her to give to Diana, was gone.

Wide-eyed, and at an apparent loss of what to do or how to react, Diana had said something then, but what it was Rina missed altogether. She thought she heard the words "cupcake" and "monster" though, and just as she tried to shake off her surprise and recall the moment, or even go over in her memory what she had just witnessed, Diana suddenly asked if she should feed it more.

Feed what? Rina's mind was still trying to process what question the young girl had asked, when all of a sudden the young girl grabbed her hand and pulled her along. The girl said something about eating, feeding, and it was all that Rina can do to keep up.

Cupcake... monster. Eating. Feeding... her? As the young girl lead on, Rina watched Diana march determinedly towards her destination.

Then it all clicked. Rina blinked a couple of times in awe and admiration.

Diana was going to eat the cupcake monster.

Diana Jameson

The older girl did not seem to know what to say. Maybe she was as worried about the stomach monster as Diana was. Still, Diana wanted to ask her questions about it. Like where did the stomach monsters come from? Did she eat a monster egg and it hatched inside of her? What did monster eggs look like? Why did people who made food feed her and her family stomach monster eggs?

Some of these questions she had tried asking her parents already, but they did not seem to know much about it. Diana guessed their cooking people had never fed them monster eggs when they were younger. Perhaps stomach monsters were as new to them as they were to her?

Spouting out her questions, the young Jameson continued to drag Rina along until the two reached the doors to the kitchen. She released the older girl so that she could push one of them open and burst into the scent-filled room.

"I need more food!" She exclaimed, looking at the nearest chef. They would know what to feed her. Then again... "But no eggs!" She would stop eating eggs so that she wouldn't get stomach monsters anymore. All kinds of eggs and egg-shaped foods, not just certain eggs. Even chicken eggs, just in case. Who knew, maybe the monsters infected chickens and got in their eggs?

Upon entering the room, Diana's exclamation of needing more food was met with a familiar "My oh my."

It was Rina's mother, Pamela Goodsworth, who also happened to be the head chef of the estate. As was expected from her countenance, Pamela was smiling brightly. Rina however was not smiling. She did her best to avoid eye contact as she kept her eyes to the young Diana's back. She was still a bit angry at her mother. The kitchen was the place she least wanted to go to. But she didn't really have much of a choice. Before Rina realized where Diana had taken her, the kitchen doors were already wide open. In a sense, she was almost in a panic, being dragged by the young Jameson to who-knows-where just moments ago. Her anxieties culminated in what she did most often; close her eyes.

The girl closed her eyes trying to block out the sounds around her. But it was no use. Diana's strange questions still echoed in her head, and she couldn't help but think of eggs and monsters. The younger Jameson girl confused her; she literally had no idea what she was saying or was it asking? As she tried to sort it all out, she kept hearing a voice talk. It was saying someone's name?

It came to no surprise when her mother Pamela started calling out her name, shaking her from her reverie, when Rina suddenly blurted out.

"Sunny Side Up!" She exclaimed.

Diana Jameson

The purple-haired woman Diana knew to be Rina's mother smiled at them upon their entrance. Pamela asked her if she wanted pancakes or waffles, or maybe some French Toast, cereal, or something new. The young Jameson female was always hesitant to try new, unfamiliar foods. All the things that had been listed to her sounded good... but since she was being given the choice...

"Cake! I want cake." The child said, then added "A rainbow cake! With... pink sparkles!" If she could have cupcakes for breakfast, then why not cake?

Pamela suggested rainbow pancakes instead and, when Diana did not answer right away, added that it would be a lot faster if she wanted pancakes instead of cake. After mulling it over for a minute, the young girl nodded her head in agreement. Faster was better when battling the stomach monster. The girl's stomach growled again as though her thoughts had summoned it.

Quickly, Pamela called over one of her helpers and set him to work making the sparkly, rainbow pancakes. That done, she turned to her daughter, who seemed to be in her own little world. Diana watched as Rina's mother called her daughter's name until the older girl jumped and exclaimed: "Sunny-side up!" Diana jumped at the sudden outburst and gave Rina an odd look.

"Are you okay?" Diana asked, worried that a monster was taking over Rina's body.

Always the one to take things slow, Rina was never good at handling things when they kept being piled unto her. The last few minutes being more than she can handle; so it was no surprise when she didn't know how to respond, and rather took her some time to register the words that were being spoken to her. She blinked her eyes rapidly as she stared at Diana incredulously.

"N-no no. U-umm." Rina said frantically.

She never realized that the young Jameson daughter was this lively. She would occasionally see the young Jameson play with her brother, and at times make a ruckus over things that seem small and insignificant, but now that Rina herself was in the very midst of it, only then did she realize just how random the young girl was.

"I mean y-yes I'm okay!" She continued to stare as somehow tears started watering from her eyes.

"Smile sunshine." Pamela said as she bent down and hugged her daughter.

Rina didn't mind when her mother hugged her, she seemed to do it a lot, but she felt more than a bit tense when she did it in front of others.

"Now, help your mum make a proper breakfast?" Pamela continued as she let go of her daughter. Rina looked to the floor and glanced towards Diana.

"Y-yes mother." She said.

No, she was not okay. No, wait, yes, she was okay. But obviously, Rina was not okay. If she was, then she would not have started to cry. Diana was not good with tears. Unless they were her own, of course. And she could usually cheer her brother up. She would have hugged the older girl to see if that would help, but the girl's mother got to her first.

When she saw Rina stiffen up in her mother's arms, Diana got the suspicious feeling that her earlier thought of the older girl being taken over by a stomach monster was right. What should she do? Was Mrs. Pamela taking care of it already? How did one go about stopping a stomach monster once it was so far in taking over a person?

While in her deep thought, the young Jameson heard something about making a proper breakfast. Was that all it took to get rid of the monster so that Rina could be normal again? Diana sure hoped so. With her parents and twin gone, she was bored. While she normally did not play with the servants' children, a servant's child would have to to for a playmate. At least Rina was the daughter of the head chef, not some lowly servant like the one making her pancakes. But if Rina were taken over by a monster, there was no way Diana could play with her. Rina would be a danger to everyone, especially the young Jameson twin. But if the monster was taken care of, then they could play all kinds of games.

Immediately, the young girl began coming up with all the things that she and her new playmate could do that day. Then, when Desmond got home, she could tell him all about her day in more than one sentence. First, they should play dress-up. It was one of Diana's favorite games because there were so many possibilities. Not to mention that she could pretend to be whatever she dressed up as. After that, if Desmond wasn't back by then, they could play dolls. And then, tea party! The would have to include her dolls in the party, especially Mr. Bunny.

Soon, Diana's planning was interrupted with a plate of sparkling rainbow pancakes being set on a little table and Pamela ushering her over to the pull out seat. "Isn't Rina going to eat, too?" She asked when she saw only one plate. Surely, Rina needed some pancakes to get rid of her monster. Maybe hers were still being made. Being the daughter of the head of the household, Diana would hold priority over one of the servants, so it would be expected that she be served first. However, if Rina was already being taken over by the stomach monster, would it not be better to take care of the person worse off? After all, Diana's stomach monster was still in the early stages, while Rina's was on the verge of completely taking over. The next step for it to take would be to explode out of Rina's body, thus killing the older girl, and terrorize and eat everyone it sees. Therefore... perhaps it would be better to make sure Rina eats as soon as possible.

Sitting down, Diana grabbed her fork and stabbed one of the pancakes. Quickly, she lifted it up and shoved it in Rina's direction. "Eat it." She told the older girl. She did not see any reason to expand on why Rina should eat it. Everyone should know why, especially Rina. Could she feel the monster taking over her body? Was the monster already in so much control that it would be able to force Rina to accept the food to prevent it from its ultimate goal?

Throndir

Rina Goodsworth

Eat it? Eat what? Your pancake? But it's yours and not mine. I'm supposed to help mother make the eggs too! Although Rina was hungry, she after all, haven't had breakfast save for the bit of muffin she had earlier, she did not think it would be alright for her to have some of Diana's pancakes. Sharing food was something friends did right? At school she would always see other girls sharing food as they laughed the meal away. She even some brave enough to share food with boys. The point was it was done between friends. The two really haven't spent much time together in the past, and usually she would think of the young girl as  "that Jameson girl".

Rina's thoughts came into full circle, but in the end, like always, she nodded. Timidly she moved her chair just a teeny bit closer to Diana. She hesitated, then glanced towards her mother, her eyes seemingly wondering if it was okay. Pamela however, just smiled and started to prepare the sunny side-up eggs for her daughter.

She would have felt that it was strange, seeing someone four years older taking a bite from someone's fork like it was spoon-feeding. Pressure, stress, and the fact that Rina felt like she was being dragged all over the place made her more oblivious, and instead, with her cheeks flushed a pale rose color, proceeded to take a bite from the ever-so-colorful pancakes. They were sweet. Rina liked sweets. She was inclined to take another bite of the sweet pancakes, when she again focused her eyes on Diana's grey eyes. Immediately, Rina withdrew.

It is strange. Rina thought as she looked down towards her lap; a faint flush on her cheeks.
