Lars spun his attention to the three slimes in front of them. Frosty could cover the rear, allowing Lars to attempt to finish this in one fell swoop. Fishing through his ability list real quick, he double checked if that one ability was still around. Much to his joyful surprise, there it was, mindlessly sitting among the few skills he currently possessed.

Prepping the skill, he lanced out his swords and spun into an action pose. He wondered if this would be too flashy.

One foot after the other, he charged his way down the narrow space and brushed his way past Hemsworth, slipping past the swinging hammer. Skill set, the three slimes before Lars were marked as targets. "Party time," he whispered to himself. His blade moved effortlessly through the air, seeking out their targets like they had a mind of their own. With spinning grace, he moved past the slimes, striking each of his unsuspecting targets and flipped after his last strike, landing with a crouch, his back to the slimes. "I was never one much for surprises," he idly spoke.

Skill executed,
End of Act!
3 slimes...dead....

Sam sighed a little as he set his pen down on the desk. For some reason his mind couldn't focus on anything art related today. Maybe climbing down the tree took more out of him than he previously thought. Pulling his gaze from the window next to him, he stared at his mess of a paper, emotionless and still. He was tasked with drawing something about an animal that both inspired and scared him, all while in some unique setting he could think of. He would say it took him better part of the class to even begin jotting anything down, his brain refusing to cooperate with him at the moment. The image of a shark came to mind, he found them interesting, but he guessed equally terrifying at the same time. He couldn't imagine what he would do if he was ever face to face with one. With pen and markers, he setup a quick sketch of a diver in the deep sea, surrounded by debris of something old, a large shadowy shark dwarfing the diver in comparison. Sam sighed again as his attention shifted outside again. He began to wonder if he forgot to do something in one of his games he was playing at home?

Hawke clasped his hands together as he leaned back in his chair, sweeping one leg over the other, he tried to wrap his mind around the creature that was standing before him. Some form of winged lizard was now there, eyeing him intently.

Hawke was not amused.

What was the chance that someone would randomly guess to throw this in his face. This was one of his closest secrets that he kept guarded from all. No one other than the few from home would know of his condition and how it was affecting him. Studying over the creature a bit more, Hawke could tell he was more of a magical construct than a summoned being. The question now lay before him like a pit of vipers. He was intent to do his best and win this game, but that would mean flirting with the thing he despises the most. He was either going to have to suck it up and flirt with this beast, or throw in the towel and leave the premises immediately. No matter what happened, he was sure to have some strong words with the curator of this unfortunate event.

*new content*

Hawke held his head in a hand as we tried to hide his reddening composure. Was he actually thinking about trying to flirt with this creature. He tried on multiple accounts to say some form of words, but it was like he was working with a frog in his throat. The creature never said a word, only stared, making this ever more uncomfortable. "Why did it have to be this?" he wondered to himself. Giving a sigh, he leaned slightly forward and clasped his hands together on the table in front of him. "Listen, I have no idea what to say in a situation like this. So how about we agree to disagree on this being a good match-up for either of us." The cogs were turning now. Hawke always enjoyed a good puzzle, and this one was proving to be a doozy. He had to find a way to win this one, no matter what. Lining himself up against these odds set loose a spark in his eye that drove him on. He couldn't just say negative things, he had to find a way to add some pizzazz into the mix. "So, I was thinking, let's cut the small chat and work out a deal. I'll pretend to say something nice to you, you smile and nod while having a great time, and then I hand you whatever gold I have on my person and a cut of the reward when I win this thing." This was sure to be the nail in the coffin for this event. There was no way this plan couldn't work.

Sam now found himself morally trapped with the other schoolkids, all crammed inside the small nurse office. As soon as one of the kids volunteered themselves as a distraction, he knew he couldn't just abandon the group as they readied themselves for deep spec-ops style action. Giving up any hopes of getting home early, he sauntered over with the rest of the guys began to peer through the newly unlocked door. He began to weigh his options of how he could help the group without looking like the lazy bum he actually was.

Option 1: He could jump on the computer and use his finely tuned keyboard skills to help find the information they need faster.
Option 2: He could check the window and see if they could use it as a liable way of escape.
Option 3: Valiantly sacrifice himself with shirtless wonder and lay on one of the other beds, hoping that two kids would occupy more of the nurse's time than just one.

He quickly scratched out option 3. Being questioned by a school nurse was one of the last things he wanted. He would probably be forced to answer all sorts of stupid questions and make up some random story as to why he was in the office. Option 1 didn't seem very viable to him either. Looking through all the files sounded tedious and work extensive, not to mention the pressure he would feel from the others regarding their inevitable doom by the hands of the nurse. Slipping through into the room, he began to inspect whether or not the window would work as a decent escape option.

Side Story / Re: Hooks Skyship Express [To China]
June 30, 2015, 12:44:52 AM
Time: Unknown, probably about midday to late afternoon I'd say.
Place: Hook's Airship

"There I was, finding myself over underneath one of those overhangs on the observation deck. Like a thief in the night, I found myself staking out a suspiciously wonderful patch of shade to keep my fragile physique out of the baking sun, less you want yourself a baked bird.

I kicked back in a chair small enough for animals of my stature. Feet splayed out, wing span stretched behind my head. I put on the guise of a perfectly relaxed tourist as I set out on observing the observers. Chewing on a bird sized cigar, I switched over to inspection mode as I checked out the scene before me. The service on this ship was average at best, though I found myself being a bit fancy toward one of the sweet service-ladies that seemed to start patrolling my side of the deck more and more frequently. She would always be there when the drinks were running low, and I'd thank her with that age old wink that wins over all the ladies. Though, she was more than just a cute smile walking by, I could tell she was distressed like the rest of us nomadic creatures. I could assume that she was also on the run from her homeland, taking to the skies to put as much distance between bad memories like a shot in the dark."

Scooter found himself leaning farther back in his chair, quickly losing faith that any of these people would show any promise of anything exciting. Oh what he wouldn't give for something interesting to entertain him for the last hour before they landed.

As the drop of blood fell upon the magic circle, faint arcs of magic began to resonate through the small bedroom. Through the incantation, these senses of magic began to fluctuate more and more, eventually resonating with everything around. As the final words fell, the lights began to flicker, shadows beginning to dance along the wall. Magic ignited through the air, swelling up through the magic circle on the ground, bolts of smoke began to rise and spread along the ceiling. Shadows along the walls and deep corners began to stretch out over the walls, each reaching out toward the enchanted circle.

Energy crackled through the air as the smoke began to coil in the center of the room. Swirling in a clockwise motion, it slowly gained momentum as it churned and spat. Loose objects began to lift into the air, away from their resting places as the magic was now in full swing. With a swift pulse the energy in the room seemed to condense toward the center, until finally exploding outward, clearing the smoke.

From the remnants of the magic circle, stood a shadowy figure of a man. His nearly six foot height stood before the young summoner, arms crossed. Resembling of what could only be thought of as a ninja, he was fully dressed in a medium armor looking setup, pouches and small weapons stashed strategically across his body. He wore his cowl down, revealing short deep brown hair, and ancient brown eyes. Quickly addressing the room around him, he shifted his gaze to the young girl. Lowering himself to a knee, he bowed to his new master, lowering his head in respect. "If it was you who summoned me to this world through this binding ritual, then I am to assume that you will be my master through this perilous game."

This was well beyond the limits that Sam was willing to exert today. In fact, this could count toward his whole energy supply for a month....a year even. He was gonna have to spend a lot of extra time sleeping just to catch up, but all that extra sleeping sounded like work, sending his mind into a horrible conundrum. As if a chime from heaven, Brian suggests the group continue on their perilous adventure beyond the door. All the dormant sensors in Sam's brain immediately went off in a short lived "light bulb" moment. Perhaps he could venture his way toward the back of the group and suddenly disappear, perhaps even finding himself mysteriously arrived at his house, in his bed, all decked out in his favorite gaming PJ's. Slowly, and nonchalantly, he began making his way toward the exit....

Hawke was beginning to feel at the end of his rope. With every move he had made, he could feel the molten coals beneath him sapping away his energy. He blamed himself for being careless enough to ignore the moving platform. Somehow he had wrapped himself up in the combat to ignore even his own footing. He spotted the safe ground a few paces away past the last of the remaining fighters, unfortunately, they stood in his way. There was no way he could make a retreat without getting attacked by either the skeleton or the flying mage. Sifting through a pocket, he fetched out a bottle he procured before the match, a bit of a precaution in case things were to get too hairy. He chugged down the health potion while withdrawing out of range of the skeleton.
Not sure if backing away from the skeleton will instigate an AoO, or if at all legal while drinking a health potion. If the move is illegal or causes an AoO, consider it ignored and didn't happen.
Tales of the Guild (IC) / Re: An Unwelcome Visitor

With the slightest stir, the box seemed to come alive. Creaking and groaning, whatever was inside was beginning to strain at it's already weak defenses. Any more of this and it could see itself being torn apart. A spark of lightning lit up the windows around where the strangers stood, followed by the ever ominous crackling of thunder. As if to signal the final seal being broken, the top of the box exploded into splinters, it's contents emerging from the top. "AHAAAAA!" it yelled, bits and pieces of wood and packing peanuts exploded from the box and littered around where it once stood.

A blue frog now stood on top of the insides of the once mysterious box. Now, this wasn't any ordinary frog, it was a frog with a spiffy traveling vest, and a belt littered with pockets. It's slimy blue skin was speckled with black dots, clearly wet from the rain that easily leaked through the holes in the box. Standing two feet tall in all his primal glory, he gazed up at the strangers, then quickly flicked his attention to the room around him. He found himself surrounded by a large room, a large door, and large people. Though the cat-like one unnerved him a tad, he kept observing the new place he found himself in. A smirk crossed his face as he nodded his head up and down, as if accepting his current situation. Why this place was perfect, plenty of space, thin traces of magic could be picked up on the air, and as far as he could tell, he was in no immediate threat from any predators. Nay-say perhaps the cat-like boy that stood before him. Why, the current situation filled his heart with glee! Nothing but rhythms and songs filled his head as the perfect haiku fell upon his lips. "HOME!" he exclaimed while throwing up his arms, croaking his first words in this new place. "This is nice," he turned to face the fellow strangers and gave a bow. "RUN!" and with that, he lept from the confines of the box and took off down the nearest hall.
Wakan Tanka attempts to evade from the two strangers around him and explore the building to his hearts content.

Wakan Tanka stepped/hopped his merry way toward the lively festival booth. Listening to the words of the passing pedestrians, he was told he could find some kind of strength contest over here. Instead he finds his two foot tall frame standing in front of some flexing contest. A bit disappointed, he decides to make his journey worth while and enter in this poorly advertised event. The people towered above him, showing off their radical poses and flashy moves. Wakan shielded his eyes from some of their posing radiance and hopped onto a table next to the curator. Stamping his foot down upon landing, he moves to catch the attention of the man running the booth. He had no doubt of losing to this contest, after all, he was the strongest Grippli in the entire swamp.

Striking a pose of his own, the frog addresses the man, issuing his entry into the contest. "You there, tall man with that strange hat," he calls out, "I have arrived to make sure this contest wont fall flat." Giving a twirl, the spectators could have sworn that they saw stars leap from his hands in his fantastic display. "Think you can beat this fantastic pose, well then, come at me bros!"

A rogue wind stirred a flyer from it's resting place on the ground, and gently lifted it down the small road that Hawke was traveling. Having seen these types of flyers scattered throughout the city, curiosity drove Hawke to snatch it midair and browse over it's contents. "AHA," he exclaimed. Double checking the print, it seems that he has stumbled across a scavenger hunt flyer. Items littered the page, anywhere from important sounding relics to the asinine utensils. All day Hawke was debating with how to present himself to the members of the Guild. He didn't want to seem like any old bloke and be dismissed without proving himself. Having to go through that would send all of his current progress back to zero, leaving him to start his search entirely over, especially after traveling so far from home.

Having found the flyer, his spirits were at an all time high and nearly sent him into a jig. He didn't have much time left, but he recognized a bunch of the objects as things he has seen littered throughout the town. If he could speed up his search, he could come out victorious and earn the recognition from the townsfolk and earn his way into the guild. After all, what kind of guild would recruit just anyone right off the street. With all the reputation he has heard from his travels, this has to be a top tier, five star rated place. They would take only the best of the best and he was determined to be near the top. Clenching the paper to his chest, he stood fully facing the sunlight, emitting an oath for the world to hear. He would participate in these "festivities" and come out on top in every one. Only that way could he be noticed by the top brass members of the guild.

Our loveable little frog adventurer has somehow made his way out of the guild hall and onto the streets. Wakan Tanka could hear the loud noises and joyous laughter even from his inconspicuous hideaway. Whatever fun these people were having, Wakan had to be a part of it.

The wonderful smell of baked goods wafted through the air, drawing him farther and farther into town. His trail eventually led him to a fresh part of the city, unnaturally green compared to some of the alleys he just wandered through.

All sorts of strange objects seemed to be splayed out across the green scenery before him. And at the center of it all, stood a man at a booth, beckoning every passerby to come and join in the festivities.
"I seem to have found myself in some form of strange place," he croaked, scratching his froggish chin in mock contemplation. "It seems that I have stumbled upon a race?" The thought of a this test of acrobatics sent his spirits a thrill, for as long as he didn't have to jog up a hill.
