Yup. Four and a half hours for the line art, and an hour and a half to add color.

You should get crazy with it and add a ton of shading lol. Another few hours of work!

Hehe, it does sort of, was going for a more 3D look, guess I should have really selected areas to work with instead of the whole image.

Oh GAWD not embossing :P  Looks good btw milk, You get better and better all the time, keep it up! Love that super tall tower :D

That's another discussion all together :D won't derail this topic with it LOL. Being a graphics designer especially in Adobe AI, I try to stay away from emobossic designs, just feels like old school :D. Now Shading! That's the way to go :)

For procedural texture's embossing is very handy, but back on topic now I think.

Whats the map for anyway? or just felt like making one?

well the middle island was originally black and white and was requested by a friend for a game he was porting from a calculator which was made by another friend. After making the island i decided to expand on it and make more islands and then decided it would look better in color.
