Staff, family, and close friends all know the existence Steelna, though I'd say mainly family and close friends only know the reason why. Together her and Giinora are kept inside Mansion grounds (which is pretty generous, considering.)
Steelna is of medium height, probably 5 '8, 147 lbs. Her hair is an almost tabby-like color and is half shaved, half braided. She has small horns above her brows, she has yellow owl-like eyes, and definitely sees better at night. Her left arm is that of a human and her right is more reptilian, though she has fingers. Her torso, and legs are normal, despite the fact that she has blotches of scales running up and down her body.

Steelna knew her research was taking too long, which is perhaps why she was in such a delirious joy. After 30 years of theories and failures, she was done.
She had devised a way to create clone-like, individual animals, with a Genome solution and subject DNA...
Only problem... It exploded due to the build-up of high toxins in the lab.
The Jamesons happened to be in the area.. Fishing on the lake, about 2 miles away from Steelna's private lot, when they saw smoke. Normally they'd just shrug it off and think nothing of it, but they heard the howls of a woman.. and decided to help.
The explosion had contained The Genome solution and all the DNA, from the first failed test to the last and successful test.
Once there they saw the transformation begin..
Her transformation was excruciating..horns came first, bones breaking to deconstruct the human in her, skin ripping to reveal two 4 inch horns. Her eyes were destroyed in the accident, and they came next. The burned peeling of Steelna's lids crumbled off and in an instant were replaced by the eyes of an owl. Where the acids had burn her to the bone... Her skin was replaced by scales, and soon her horns had scales too.
After 45 minutes of terror, Steelna quit foaming and convulsing, and just lay... Shuddering in absolute horror.
The Jamesons didn't know what to think, other than to help the poor woman, and they took her home. (Which is where she made me!!!)
To this day she wears a hollowed mask made from the skull of a mythical creature (also known as the Rapteree Diur) that she had battled years before. This creature is a bird of prey, with a long dangerous beak and claws that can break through any bone. Instead of feathers it sports thick hoarse hair, and it's large eyes take everything in.
