Messages - Anastasia Sheel

#1
One by one various couples went up on stage and had put on a routine for the crowd among the chorus of cheers, both stemming from good performances and an overabundance of alcohol. The crowd's mood were especially light, and the throng of people cheered as couples continued to go up on stage one after the other. Anastasia was curious about it, and not only did she want to see some of her fellow guild mates performances, she too wanted to do something specific.

Kin had called out to her just then, and waving towards him, Anastasia made her way through the crowd to finally stand in front of her foster father. She smiled widely as she patted down her dress, making sure it looked perfect, and ensuring all the various bows and ties on it were neat and proper.

"What do you think?" Anastasia asked as she spun around once, letting the wind rustle through her clothes. "Nyaoko let me borrow these. They are from her homeland of Aztia. Its the traditional garb used by her people, and because Ternadan is supposed to be the melting pot of the country, I think these suite me well."

QuoteAna and Kin only. Split from New Years Festival: Dancing Contest

With the dancing contest for single participants complete and only one hour to go until the evening's finale, where was only one more contest to go. The couple's dancing contest. After the show put on by the individual dancers, the crowd and the judges were excited to see how the couple's dancing would turn out.

There were plenty of familiar faces that Anastasia had come to recognize over the past year since she had joined the guild. Some she had only met and seen a few times, given the fact that many guild members would disappear for months at a time going off to some far off land resolving some sort of quest or request. But with the fact that it was the New Years celebration, a lot of them were here. Here where the final acts and festivities occured before signaling a new year.

The tournanent of Ternadan, hosted by the city, had been in progress for the past week, with the finals scheduled to take place after midnight. Some of the defeated teams were here as well, attempting to put some joy in the fact that they couldn't quite make it to the final match. It was going to be a match between Lyolf's Legion and the League of Extraordinary Merchants, both teams members of the guild of Galas'nor. So overall, there was much excitement to be had.

But Ana was there during the match, and she knew that even if Kin didn't show it, the halfling, her adopted father, was one who was probably not as excited as the rest.

She kept her eyes open for him, and eventually smiled as she saw a familiar form.

The Guild of Galas'nor / Re: Substitute Shopkeeper

There was a loud crash as you called out to the backroom. It sounded like the sound of breaking glass, perhaps more likely, considering the fact this was a wizard's abode, a set of bottles or potions even.

You can hear an audible sigh coming from the back, and soon enough a girl emerged. You instantly recognized her, it was the young girl that Kin and Jornathel had discovered almost 6 months ago. At the time she looked to be ten years old at most, yet now she looked to be around 14 or 15 by your estimation.

"You... are the... substitute?" Anastasia asked, as a hint of recognition appeared in her eyes. Her demeanor had always been distant, and at times it had been hard to read her, but ever since she was first found, she had been showing more signs of outward emotions, even communicating more with the other guild members.

You noticed that her clothing seemed to be wet, as if she had spilled something on them. She held what looked to be a towel on one hand, while the other she held what looked to be a piece of paper with some scribblings on it.

"You are Kryas. Yes further details..." Anastasia said softly, keeping her eyes on the bard.

[info]Kryas to roll a base CHA for a first time impression from Anastasia in the context of the RP.
Also roll a 1d100.

I'll then proceed with Ana giving the details.[/info]

The psion bit her lip. She didn't have to read minds to realize things might potentially explode into part two of the tournament. Lyolf's carefree attitude, the way he strode in with his raven, the ever-so-familiar half smile. It was all the signs of Lyolf's rather pointed attempts at jest, and for all the time she spent observing him, she understood that Lyolf was a prankster. It wasn't quite similar to Callsta's, and if Anastasia had to put a category to it, she'd say it would be darker.

She shivered.

They're not gonna fight again are they?

"Geez!" Anastasia said, puffing her cheeks angrily.

A moment later however she sighed. She was worried that Katrias would have taken the loss poorly. She never knew her master to take defeat so easily after all, but if she was able to be so light about it, then that was a good thing.

If anything, Anastasia was glad.

Anastasia rubbed her cheeks, trying to prevent her flush from getting any worse. At least Katrias had begun talking about the past. That was always a calming subject.

"N-no..." Anastasia responded as she held her arms to her chest. The reference to them caught her by surprise. She immediately turned red, and out of habit, flustered, she instead replied back to Katrias through a mindlink.

I'm sorry Katrias! It's not my fault I'm like this... I can't help it that I have these and-

"Are you okay?" A familiar and gentle voice sounded form near the hospital ward's entrance. It was Anastasia, Katrias' apprentice. The girl moved towards the hospital bed, checking up on Katrias. When she finally arrived, their eyes met as Anastasia stood standing beside her bed.

The more steps he took, the more anxious she became. When Katrias finally pointed towards Kin, the little girl unclenched Annia's shirt and started after him. She rushed out at first, and looked as if she was about to stumble, but quickly catching her footing, she continued onward. She was happy when her hero had first woken up. But the realization came to her late, and seeing Kin walk away again, made her feel something strange within her. Anxious? No, that wasn't it. Sadness perhaps? At the same time there was relief. The mix of emotions were hard for Anastasia to understand and even sift through, and she couldn't help but feel something wet in her eyes.

They call these... Tears?

Stumbling forward, the little girl reached out to her hero.

When Kin's Fan Club was called out, Anastasia cheered. Though her voice probably wasn't as loud as the audience around her, she waved at the figures below trying to shout over the crowd. She knew them all of course, as both sides were on the guild of Galas'nor. Her mentor Katrias along with her adoptive father Kin were one one team, squaring off against uncle Lyolf.

They always butt heads, but this would be one of the few times they actually had a chance to draw their weapons against each other.

Kin was too far for her to say anything through their mindlink, but she knew he was watching. As she eyed the purple-dressed wizard on the field as well, she also knew Katrias would expect her to absorb everything she could about the upcoming fight.

When uncle Lyolf's team was announced, Anastasia cheered as well, though she made sure it wasn't quite as loud. She pulled out a card a moment after and smiled.

The little fairy, Callista, beckoned towards her to follow. But as Anastasia looked towards Kin, she realized that he seemed to want to stay put. She didn't understand why the group wanted to go different ways, she wanted to experience new things with everyone. Especially Kin! But she had started thinking more about Callista, after all, she was really her only play-mate back at home.

The young girl turned back towards Callista, unsure of who to follow. Callista had mentioned desserts before, and there was no doubt in Anastasia's mind that the fairy would be leading her to lots and lots of desserts. Much of Callista's actions confused Anastasia, but the apparent excitement and elation Callista would put forth in almost everything she did made it much more lively every time she was around. And though Anastasia had not realized it then; it was the fact that she had fun with the small fairy that she was drawn to follow her lead.

She clutched Kin's shirt, not entirely sure who to follow.

When the other guild member called out to her, Anastasia drew back behind Kin when Callista had released her hold. She wasn't quite sure of how to respond, she was simply taking in her surroundings after all. She understood that they were there to help someone, but her main motivation to coming was to be with Kin. Save for only a few others in the guild, she wasn't comfortable with many others.

The young girl stared at Aion.

She clutched Kin's shirt tighter, not knowing how to respond to the tall man. She blinked a couple of times, but seeing the attention on her, simply began to nod.

The little girl glanced between Kin and Annia, unsure of what to do. Her hero had just awoken after all! And it had been so many days since she had last seen him awake. Anastasia didn't realize what loss can feel like, but she knew she felt strange and isolated when Kin was sleeping. It was being lonely. Anastasia thought, putting a word to the feelings.

She stared at the proffered hand. They looked so soft and gentle. The tall lady, Annia, had been scary at first, but even though she had since gotten used to the knight and her constant presence, she still didn't feel up for leaving Kin. She continued glancing between Annia and Kin for a few more moments, her facial features never betraying her inner thoughts. In fact, her eyes were large and plain as they always were. However, even though she didn't know it at the time, her own thoughts were communicated in a different way as well.

In the form of abstract thoughts, feelings, and picture, did Anastasia impart to Kin of her relief, joy, and feelings.

The little girl had recently come to adore the small fairy that always flew about excitedly. It wasn't something that most of the guild members do, and Anastasia could tell that Callista was different than the rest in that regard. It helped that the fairy was small just like her too. But after all the almost random wandering, Anastasia began to wonder where they were really going. She had seen all sorts of sights as she took in her surroundings eagerly, and was in awe of the city.

Anastasia tugged on Kin's clothing, speaking to him through the mental link they shared.

Kin... are we lost?

Anastasia stared at the man almost blankly. Out of habit, she began to shuffle in closer behind Callista, and peered out at the man who was on the flat of his back. She was never really comfortable around big people, but to her credit she did manage to nod.

"The guild." She finally said. She recognized him, as much as she recognized everything and everyone else she had seen in the guild - even if they appeared only once for a brief visit to check the mission boards. To Anastasia it wasn't some special skill or trick, it was because she simply remembers.
