Shenzu is a monk from a land far away, he has been on a spiritual journey for years traveling the land. Shenzu is a tall gentlemen with short brown hair. When Shenzu arrived in Korvosa, he took up studying at the libraries in the town and visited the church of Abadar to pray. He started to teach martial arts from Tian Xia that he learned along his journey to a small group of people who can by the church. As the months went by Shenzu started to fall in love with one of his students. Her name was Zeldana, she was a young Varisian women with long black hair. After a year of dating they got married and Shenzu finally felt he found his place in the world.

Shenzu stayed teaching at the church while Zeldana stayed home. After a couple of years of the same route, Shenzu came home one day to a Korvosan guard waiting for him, the guard asked Shenzu if would come with him. Shenzu asked the guard what was this about, but the guard wouldn't say. So he followed the guard to the Endrin Square where there was a mass of people and a bunch of guards. The guards escorted Shenzu to the middle of the crowd to the sight of his murdered wife. The guard captain started to question Shenzu about his whereabouts of the time of the murder and asked if he knew of any enemies his wife could have. Shenzu answered the question to the best of his abilities, then he asked the captain if they might know who could have done this, the captain said they did not have a lead on the case. After Shenzu look over his wife's body he noticed Zeldana's ring was missing.

Shenzu put up flyers around the different shopping centers to help located the ring. After months of no leads, a vender in the south shore square contacted Shenzu, the vender said he received a ring matching the description of the ring. Shenzu rushed over to the store to retrieve the ring but the vender wouldn't just give Shenzu the ring due to its still a business. Shenzu couldn't afford the ring but the vender told Shenzu who sold the ring to him, a man named Gaedren Lamm. The only problem Shenzu has is finding Gaedren to ask him why the ring worth Zeldana's life was.

     lol uh you skipped ahead in the story a bit (the king isn't dead yet) and remember to start you are supposed to be tied to Gaedren (based off of campaign trait)
