The storm continued to pick up. The waves continued to crash hard against the ship. Slowly, but surely the ship was tipping over. A resounding creaking sound reverberated through the ship. The stress on the hull was building; windows cracked and burst open as both luggage and items slammed against them. But not only that, people too joined in the descent. Their faces, full of horror and fear, as they took hold of anything that they could reach their hands out for. By this point the ship was almost vertical. Many of the passengers managed to hold on to a railing, the foot of a bolted-down chair, or an edge of a counter. But still, many more did not, frantically latching on to anything that slid down their path; they continued to fall.

Be it from fear, or from the simple desire of living, selfishness had sprung up as many began clamoring over each other, pushing and shoving, and ensuring that they themselves had a proper hold on the ship with little regard for anyone else - even if it meant that others would lose their hold. A few trainers had begun using their Pok?mon as well, flying types, water types, were the most common, each of them attempting to escape the tragedy that was falling upon them. Yet even that did little to placate the storm, much less escape its terrifying wrath. The winds were too strong and the rain was too heavy. They were beat down relentlessly - still they continued to fight however futile it seemed, such was the nature of man. It was more than a gale, more than any natural storm that any of those present experienced - it was nature in it's almost grand and horrifying glory.

Some had launched the few lifeboats at the sides of the ship, but those were quickly sent overboard as waves continued to slam against them just as they had with the ship. It wasn't long until the screams of the many started to dwindle, as the storm continued to rage, the waters flooding the interior hallways and cabins of the ship. Those who had drafted on life jackets were lucky, though in some ways had more of the burden to bear as they watched the more unfortunate simply disappear into the cold stormy waters below.

A few moments after that the roaring of the waves began to drown out all other sounds. A few moments after that the stern of the ship began its steady decent under water. And a few more moments after that there was simply nothing. Just the roaring waves, the beating of the rain, and the crackle of the thunder above.

Vinny Drechsler
You were born with survival in mind, from out of sheer luck or your simple knowledge of the seas, you were able to survive the sinking ship without a scratch.

Daniel Rask
Your ranger skills, and innate ability for survival helped you survive the catastrophe. You came out of it with a few wounds, but nothing major.

Oreah Hyakuju
A variety of items had crashed into you, both leaving wounds, and injuries. Your physical and survival prowess was enough to sustain only minor wounds. That said, you still have heavy injuries on your torso and arms.

The Boulder
Just the correct timing and placement, you manage to survive the sinking with only minor wounds.

Letina Rae Desl?geech
The water was too much to handle, and though you took quite a few hits, you managed to keep conscious - though just barely. You have heavy injuries on your torso and legs.

Kram Niawt
The water was too sudden, though you tried your best to get out, you were knocked out cold, and found yourself unconscious on a floating piece of debris. You have heavy injuries on your arms, legs, and torso.

Garret "Grey" Miles
Most of the passengers were dead or dying, and you were close to death's door. Before you were knocked out cold with the major injuries across your body, you somehow managed to make it on a floating piece of debris. You have a heavy injury on your arm. You have a large wound on your torso, and your legs were cut and bleeding. Things looked grim.

As if it was a mockery of the storm just the night before; the rising sun peeked out, spreading its warm and orange light across the skies, bathing the scene in a warm and almost surreal glow. Tropical trees dotted the beach, and beyond it were the ferns and other plant-life you would expect from an island. Most of the storm was gone, nothing but the skies above with a few remaining dark clouds overhead. The waves and oceans which you remember as being roaring from what seemed like moments ago was still and eerily calm. Before you was a vast island, strangely mountainous with spikes of jagged rocks acting like spires as they reach for the skies. Far beyond it, at what you assumed to be the center of the island was a singular large volcano that towered above all the other formations. It was a distance away, but from the volcano's size and appearance it looked as it were nearby.

You do not recognize the island. You do not know where you are. The landscape before you was pristine; if not for the variety of debris floating to the shores and the memory of the storm still lingering fresh in your thoughts, the scene would have been perfect. The death you had just seen sent chills down your spine. One question kept running through your mind.

Were there other survivors?

When the boat had started spinning like a log Grey had been halfway up the stairs from the first class cabin stairs slamming down them with Hiro into an empty room. Without thinking Grey rapped himself around his pokemon as they slammed into the side of the bed. He tasted blood as he did his best to force his pokemon back into his pokeball as he contiunied rolling through the air. As he alone was thrashed with the objects in the room that were not bolted down. Blood pouring out of a fresh gash on his chest he found something to hold onto in the form of a bed post the only thing nailed down to both the floor and ceiling.

What must have been sheer minutes felt like days and he finally blacked out still clinging to that log of wood. It had loosened from its baring at that point and when water filled the cabin it was the second pokeball which opened. Revealing a feebas seeing how injuried the boy was and understanding he need human care she took pity on the boy and drug his limp form with the log out of the cabin out of the sideways stairwell and out into open water just in the knick of time. With all her swimming power she pushed and helped guide him from the wreck to saftey. she now circles the water around him trying to keep him above the surface calling for help

It had only been moments after grabbing a couple life vests that Daniel felt the ship tilt past the point of return, sending him tumbling across the hall as it inverted. He had enough reflex and sense to use the vests as a buffer while the initial throttling occurred, luckily leaving him with only minor scratches. That did not save him from the groans and screams of pain and fear. They were everywhere, and most were VERY unprepared. Several were crushed by sliding objects, others flung from the other side of the main room. It was disastrous, but that was only the beginning. They were somewhere between Hoenn and Johto, and that meant Sharpedo, Tentacruel and Gyarados were possibly in the water. Even if there were survivors, it would be a long time before the terror was over.

Just as he'd confirmed that despair-filled thought, the first deluge of water blasted its way through the corridors.  Daniel had been expecting it, and thus had climbed into a position that was stable to brace himself. But that did not mean it didn't hurt; he could have sworn he'd broken something as the wall of water greeted him. Once the force subsided, he swam with it, knowing it would lead to the top of the wreckage. This was made easier with the one extra life jacket he'd managed to hang on to. He planned to grab anyone that he could that made it out of the wreckage; as much as he would love to stop and help those nearby, he didn't know if he had time. Thus the horrors around him burned into his memory. If not for the pumping adrenaline, and the obvious fear, the view would have been solemnly serene. The sounds of the storm were dulled by the depth of the water, and various debris was floating aimlessly through the sinking vessel. He'd quelled his remaining panic through this portion of the wreckage, but he certainly couldn't call his new state of mind calm. He had to watch as multiple people, whom he was unsure were unconscious or dead, sink into the depths. There was nothing he could do without endangering himself, he knew that. He knew that and it hurt, a fury building slightly at his own powerlessness. Was this not the exact situation he'd been traveling the world to help people for? He'd been naive, or at the very least arrogant. He was not ready for this. Not yet.

Daniel was overjoyed to find the aft door of the ship open, allowing him to quickly slip outside. Always a silver lining, I guess... He thought to himself, trying not to dwell on the scenes of his ascension from the depths. Finally, after being at the limits of holding his breath, he burst through the surface and gasped for air. The scene was not any better above the water, as debris and people tossed among the rough waves and tempestuous winds. He saw someone nearby who'd lost consciousness, but managed to end up on the surface, and started swimming for them. once again, he took a deep breath, going underwater to get his second life jacket on them, securing it as best as he could. Pushing back to the surface, Daniel was met with a large wave soon crashing down on him. He embraced the person he'd just gotten into a jacket, then ducked slightly to brace as the wave sent the two bodies spinning within the crashing current.

He resurfaced with his unconscious counterpart to find a fairly large chunk of floating material about 10 feet from him. He did not know whether it was from the hull or not, but was too afraid and unconcerned to question it. He only thought one thing: salvation. This would get him out of the water. And, after hauling the one beside him onto the slab of, well, whatever it was, he did just that. Clinging for dear life, Daniel spent the rest of the night braving the storm on the debris, making sure the other managed to remain aboard the makeshift raft as well. Even if he could not save all he came across, he'd be damned if he didn't try where he could.

The current pulled him through the black, stormy seas to who-knows-where. But he had no control, and thus no choice. Daniel could only hope it led to land of some sort. And with any luck, populated land.
_______________________________________________________________________________

The sunrise greeted the stranded ranger with plenty of aches and pains. And until he'd looked around and saw his own condition, Daniel had been convinced it was just an ordinary day, as he'd often roughed-it on his travels. But seeing as he was on a beach, scratched up, drenched in salt-water and with an unconscious person in a life jacket beside him in a hovel just at the top of the shore, that train of thought quickly changed. I mean, how could he forget? He never would. He never could. The person beside himself was all he'd managed to protect besides himself and his belongings. "My belongings!" He whispered urgently as he swung toward his backpack and took inventory.

"Huh...well most of my supplies are here, but I seem to have lost a pokeball. But nothing irreplaceable." He nodded to himself assertively. That was some of the first good news he'd received in probably a day. That's at least how much time he guessed had passed. It was hard to tell. "...Darn, seems like my pokedex and phone are out of service...we really must be out in the middle of nowhere..." And thus it went back to being a dim reality. But at least he had survived it. And hopefully the one beside him had as well. And, of course, best of all, Bolt's ball had not been lost. As much as he wanted to embrace his companion now, he did not wish to expose him to this reality just yet. He needed to make camp.

"But first, I better check if this one is alive. And mobile, if so." Daniel said to himself aloud as he bent over the one he'd pulled from the water. He couldn't tell what their injuries were like, but all he could hope was that they were, in fact, alive. Truth be told, he wasn't even certain they were when he pulled them from the water. Carefully, he pressed his middle and index fingers to their neck, checking for a pulse.

Vinny Drechsler

Everything seemed to go so fast, but Vinny, even amongst his uncontrollable kerfuffling, was not about to be taken out by the elements. Loud crashes filled the air as the waves continued their violent onslaught on the ship's hull. In Vinny's mind, it was being ripped to shreds, which may or may not have been a slight exaggeration. In any case, it was undeniable that his journey to wherever it was the ship was taking him was abruptly being cut short.

As he caught his balance (almost professionally, it would seem), the blurry man Vinny had been stumbling toward seemed to fade into nothing but a distant memory. Those were struggles of times long since buried in the past. Here and now, the ship was sinking and the floor beneath them was shaking every which direction. For everyone, it seemed, it was impossible to move around without help, but not for Vinny. Apparently unfazed by the completely unstable metal he was standing on, he ran for the nearest muster station and donned one of the few remaining life jackets he found there. Knowing well that many of the passengers weren't so lucky to find the life jackets in time, he grabbed one extra and ran for the nearest unprotected person he could find.

But then, he soon found that there was nobody around, for moments later, a final wave smashed into the capsizing ship, doing quite a number and effectively rendering it irreparable. He clutched the second life jacket hard, ensuring it didn't escape his grasp and prevent him from saving that one life the may have otherwise been lost. Above him, however, flew a blur or orange, somersaulting quite spectacularly through the air as if launched off of a catapult.

"Yes, Kimmel!" Vinny shouted over the roaring of the storm, "Use Fly!" It was difficult to tell whether or not the Pok?mon was troubled by its predicament, but Vinny wasn't worried at all. He had poured a lot of training into that fish's physical defense, so he was quite resilient for a Pok?mon his level. His imminent impact with the water at the end of his fall would be nothing to worry about. He was a fish after all.

The ship being wrecked, on the other hand, certainly was. And Vinny still had a life jacket in his hand that wasn't being used! Maintaining his balance after the major impact and amidst the increasingly vertical deck he was standing on, he began a mad dash to the edge of the ship and jumped off, diving headlong into the water, noting the many bodies ? some alive, some unconscious, and some unfortunately beyond help ? scattered about the ocean. Thankfully, there as plenty of debris that was buoyant enough to be used to keep afloat.

Before the force of his dive could take him very far below the surface of the sea, his life vest forced him back above, and he quickly got to work, swimming at top speed for the nearest body he could reach, and quickly began fastening them into the jacket. Once he was satisfied that the person's unconsciousness was properly accounted for and that they would be relatively safe without his assistance thereafter, he began attempting to save other people, leading them to wreckage that they could use to keep them afloat, before finally spending all the adrenaline he had. He was sadly unable to help everyone, but he was satisfied knowing that he had potentially saved the lives of several others.

Of course, by no means was the storm over. Great wells of water tossed everything every which way, spitting some objects far up in to the air while completely swallowing others. Vinny was fortunate enough to be able to avoid the worst of it, though he could hardly say the same for most of the former passengers. Undoubtedly many of the same passenger he had just helped save were already forced into the same (or worse) states than Vinny had just helped them out of, much to the Magikarp trainer's dismay. No, all there was to do now was to wade it out and hope for the best. With any luck, a transmission would have been sent out and help would already be on its way.

There was no such luck, it seemed. Hours passed, the morning sun was rising in the sky, and the storm had all but died since the catastrophe had claimed the ship and the lives most of its commuters. What had survived of the debris had followed the currents, perhaps traveling miles before gently dropping off at a questionably inhabited tropical landmass in the middle of who-knows-where. Several of the survivors had already reached the shore and were salvaging what they could from the wreckage.

Vinny, on the other hand, manage to fall asleep on a piece of floating debris once the the storm had died down. At some point, he had given his own life jacket to a woman who had been struggling on her own. Kimmel was groggily managing to keep up with his trainer, having spent so much of his energy and not been offered the chance to return to his Pok? Ball to rest due to Vinny's apparent absence of mind throughout the night. It mattered very little, however. There was very little to cause them trouble at the moment and the Magikarp, being a fish, wasn't exactly in danger of growing tired from swimming. It was that elusive bit of sleep that he was growing weary of not having.

Ever so gently, Vinny's makeshift sleeping quarters drifted onto the beach of the island nearby, rocking up and down, back and forth, as if trying to ensure he would stay asleep. That is, until a slightly larger waved splashed him in the face, giving him just enough of that jolt to get him wide awake.

"Ze vending machine still owes me money!" He blurted out, realizing moments later that he was perhaps very far from the nearest vending machine. Memories of the night before slowly began to come back to him as he looked out to the sea and saw several pieces of the ship floating around, some with people grabbing hold of them. It started to set in that he had been shipwrecked and probably wasn't going to make to wherever that ship was taking him anytime soon.

That perhaps, was the least of Vinny's worries, though. Nobody else knew this, but he actually didn't have a clue where the ship was headed. He had bought the ticket on a whim after finding out that the on-deck restaurants there served potato salad, although now that he recalled, he didn't even try to order any of the stuff. Now, to his dismay, the chances of fulfilling his dreams were crushed into oblivion. He hung his head in shame and sorrow knowing that all his anticipation of the taste of the magnificent delicacy was all in vain. Surely this was the worst of all days.

But there was no sense dwelling on what could have been. Today was a new day! And despite all that had happened to put them in place of despair, Vinny had no intentions of giving up all hope! If this is the hand life would deal him, then so be it, but whether it be the royal flush of his dreams or a laughably uninteresting set of cards, now was not time to fold! Yes, this was the day that he would do what had to be done by him and help the survivors to defeat the elements!

Oreah

She would have loved to have said that she had kept her cool, been helpful in the crisis, and helped keep the death count low. However, Oreah care more for her own life then others, and was one of the people who had actively attempted to take any chance she had to survive. So the memory of her slamming her boot into the face of an older gentlemen and watching fall down the ships hall screaming a she held onto a metal bar was still present in her mind as she watched the ship sink in front of her, and felt pain in her upper body.

She held her bag tightly as she swam one handed, not willing to lose her precious pokemon to the anger of the sea. And as the night went on, and the screams were one by one snuffed out, Oreah braved the waters stop of a bed frame as she waited out the night. When the sun began to rise, high lighting the silhouette of a rather lush, but foreign land mass.

Without giving it much thought, she swam to it's shore, hoping to quickly do something about the intense pain in her body.
Once Oreah get's to the island, she releases her pokemon so they can be check for wounds, then proceeds to try and gather fire wood and find suitable shelter. Once she does so, she uses the bed frame in whatever she needs, weather shelter or fire wood or weaponry.

Letina Rae Desl?geech

People around her began to panic as much as she was, though whether it was from her words or from the ship tilting at a dangerous angle, or both, she was not sure. She did not understand why people were reaching to grab at stable parts of the ship when there were more important things to hold onto. For instance, Letina clung to her bag, which contained all of her basic travel gear and her Pok?mon, like there was no tomorrow.

When the first wave of water came rushing through the corridor, the young woman found herself losing her balance and being shoved up against a wall. Her body was already aching all over from being thrown about her quarters while trying to catch Blaise's ball, but to add back pain from being smashed up against railing attached to the wall now behind her only made things worse. At first, she thought the impact might have snapped her spine, but proved her thoughts wrong when she forced herself forward. After all, if it was snapped, then she would not be able to walk.

Still clutching her precious bag, Letina made her way up to the deck of the ship. Her speed was fairly slow, however, as she had to keep stopping and hold onto the railing every time more water rushed in. She probably would not have made it if not for one of the crew - or maybe it had been a kind passenger - who had helped her along safely to the edge of the ship. Jumping into the waters below, Letina felt yet more pain, this time in her legs. She must have hit the water wrong.

Barely conscious, the young lady floated in the water, rising and falling and sinking under the waves, only to float back up to the top again thanks to her life vest. She was freezing and numb, still clutching her bag as though it were the only thing important in the world. Someone pulled her body onto floating debris, but she was so numb that she barely noticed. 'Mom... Dad... I hate boats.' She thought to herself before passing out.

..::|::.. ..::|::.. ..::|::.. ..::|::.. ..::|::.. ..::|::.. ..::|::.. ..::|::.. ..::|::.. ..::|::.. ..::|::.. ..::|::.. ..::|::.. ..::|::.. ..::|::.. ..::|::.. ..::|::.. ..::|::.. ..::|::.. ..::|::.. ..::|::.. ..::|::.. ..::|::.. ..::|::.. ..::|::.. ..::|::.. ..::|::.. ..::|::.. ..::|::..

Vwwwwooooooossh. Shhwwoooossshhh. Vwwwooooosssshhhh. Shwoooosh. Cold. Wet. Salty? What? Another wave of salt water rolled in, splashing her face once again and making her realize how hard it was to breath. She tried to sit up, but realized her body ached too much to bother, so she tried to cough up the water from her lungs while laying on her stomach. Another mouthful of salty water gave her enough motivation to push herself up so she could cough up the water without replacing it with more. Her throat and lungs burned. After what felt like forever, Letina flopped down on her back, still coughing, but not to clear out water from her lungs.

Why was she coughing up salt water? She did not know where she was, or remember why she might be there. Wasn't she supposed to be on a ship? Pffft. Nah. She hated boats. Ever since that bad experience... wait... either all her memory from between that ship sinking and now had vanished or she was still living the nightmare. Not only was she nearly drowned, but she was now stranded in the middle of nowhere. At least she had Blaise and Quilz... Wait! Blaise and Quilz! Where were they?

Forgetting about her aches and pains, Letina bolted up. Her bag was not in her hands or anywhere within grabbing distance. Beginning to panic, she looked around the beach. Ah! There was her bag, only a few yards from her. She tried to run towards it, but her legs went out from under her. Taking note to check on her legs later, she crawled her way to her bag, dug out the Pok?balls of her Pok?mon, and called them both out. Immediately, she grabbed them both into a big hug, babbling about how worried she had been for them and how glad she was that they had not been lost to the sea. It took her a moment to realize that she should be checking them over for wounds, just in case.

Satisfied that they had not received any terrible wounds, the young woman turned to inspect the contents of her bag. Her tent and water filter looked damaged. What a waste. She had not even had the chance to use either of them yet. The rest of her bag's contents looked okay, which she was happy to find, considering she probably needed quite a few things from her first aid kit.

Sending her Pok?mon out to find firewood or other possible survivors, Letina got to work inspecting her wounds.

In the calm waves, a small animal struggled to keep it's master adrift.
The animal was sweating profusely - it wasn't often that a grass type Pokemon such as Bulbasaur was forced to swim, keep itself afloat while tending to it's battered owner for six straight hours in sea on a small plank of wood.

Kram's seemingly useless endurance training was really kicking in through Bulby's efforts. It was just short of a miracle that both trainer and Pokemon were able to get a hold of each other when the cruise fell under, a true miracle being that they were left unscathed. This was not the case.

Bulby was badly bruised. His injuries were less external and more internal, especially to it's head. A completely dazed Bulbasaur was trying it's best to stay conscious to keep it's care for it's even worse off master.

Kram was mortally wounded.

Along with breaking both of his arms and legs, several wooden chinks were skewering his torn body; some through his shoulders, one through his right hand, the worst being one straight through his chest. Bulby didn't know how well he would fare, only that Kram's faint and quick breathing could be heard. He was alive, but things weren't bright. Perhaps due to his rather hectic and straight forward honesty in endurance training, he was still managing to hold up.

Strains of blood and debris surrounded Bulby. It was not a peaceful cruise.

Bulby continued to stay afloat, hoping to reach the shore that seemed all too impossible to reach. The currents constantly kept pushing them further into the sea. It was why Bulby was at this for six hours without rest.

Seeing other trainers wounded aswell, Bulby could sympathize with the water types tending to their masters. He understood they wanted to help everyone, only that their trainer had to come first: the result of panic. Bulby, however, was truly affected by Kram. Along with keeping himself, and his owner alive, he had helped 2 other Pokemon, those also unfortunate enough to not be water types. He carried their burdens with him as he was straining every inch of his vines to hold everything together. Against the tide, they carried on.

Certainly, another individual Bulby knew would do the same.
To protect everyone without fail-
The binding pillar through an Enduring Soul...
It was time for Bulby to act in Kram's place.

For Kram had done the very same thing.

...

"Everyone! Over here!" Frantically, Kram motioned to the immediate people around him running in disarray. A breached hull ruptured letting in gallons of water in every second. Kram looked over to everyone with the intention to get everyone out. Time was short and tensed. The integrity of the ship wouldn't hold for very long. Kram led the way to what he had recalled to be an emergency exit-

It was completely blocked by debris; luggage, pipes, parts of the wall and ceiling were caved in by the immense pressure of the water.

Think! Think faster!

Kram grabbed his brochure deep within his pocket. A mocking Olivine Beaches title was brought to his sight as he flipped through until he saw...a map! As the others around him glanced towards his hands and looked up to his confidence, they nodded in consent.

"Lets find another exit!"

So the group that was immediately infront of him ran. A certain person, however, lagged behind the rest. A short, black haired Girl straying from the group was launched off the hallways and straight into a wall.

!

Kram was able to spot her before she completely rammed head first into an adjacent wall and was able to grapple her towards the ground instead. From Kram's quick glance, he saw she had brown eyes staring angrily at him, and had quite the nice complexion.

Change that beautiful frown of yours already. Kram wished to see her happy. Not now, in any case. Kram wasn't THAT dumb.

The Girl seemed abit shocked and embarrassed as she initially pushed him away, but began to understand the chaos behind them. Both of them quickly stood up, Kram grabbing the timid Girl by the wrist and began running to this other exit.

So these people do exist? huh! Kram seriously couldn't help but steal a glance or two...or THREE at the Girls face every now and then- it's what he described as Rule of Chivalry Number One: 'acting manly infront of women!'.

As they caught up with the rest, and saw the sight before them, everyone could only be further disappointed.

Once again, this exit too had been blocked by more debris, and the ceiling plate above fell down against it with the inner slope facing towards them.

Just when the others were about to turn around and find another way which some did, Kram stupidly charged into the caved-in ceiling without restraint, but kept at it anyways. Alone however, no matter how adept he was, he could not clear the way fast enough with his current motivation.

Darn! I can't break it!

Well obviously. How would one expect to break something stronger then concrete with their body?

He started looking for the great motivation he needed to charge the ceiling stronger, with all it's pounds of metal n all, strong enough to let other people through by knocking the wreckage out of the way. Alas, while finding his most needed motivation, he found a different solution aswell;

If I LIFT this wall-
I can totally get that Girl's name! Then I can get to know her! Haha! Your a genius Kram! You can do this!

Such was his moronic motivation.

"Hrrr!" Kram lit up with bountiful energy as he attempted to lift the part of the broken ceiling back up on his trembling shoulders. His legs barely held up to the demanding weight of the ceiling.

Im manly. He thought, caught in the bliss of carrying something absurdly heavy for otherwise no important purpose then to show off infront of that Girl. Sure it would allow the others relying on him to get by, but that didn't mean he could have two candy's for the price of one, or, uhh, some comparison like that.

Genius Kram.
Absolute Genius, bravo.

Those behind him were amazed but quickly took their chance to get through the emergency exit. A perfect path lay infront of Kram; he could see the boats down below waiting for more people to fill up the empty slots.

"Go! Quickly! I can hold thi-" and the waters behind him had finally caught up to their level with a loud thud. With the wooden supports unable to fend off any sort of resistance towards the unstoppable torrents of water, they broke into smaller, sharper pieces of wood. That last thud seemed to have caused the entire ship to sway inwards: the boat was surely sinking.

"FASTER! It's going up!" he desperately yelled to the others as they became even more worried.

And then the first injury happened.

The force of the waters moving along with the splintered wooden supports came crashing towards Kram and everyone else's direction at that. Thankfully nearly everyone was out by then. For the most part, Kram had accomplished his goal of getting those around him to safety. Kram was soon to follow suit. But instead, that black haired Girl whom Kram saved from a nasty head concussion was about to get pierced through her neck by a rapidly speeding splinter.

The impaling did not reach her however. It had reached Kram. Having moved his body to stand straight behind her while clinging to the ceiling, one of the wooden splinters pierced his left shoulder. This particular one was roughly a meter in length; Kram took the brunt of the blow, but it had pierced past his shoulder, and some of it still grazed deeply into the Girls left arm.

In the pain, she turned around-

"T-Thank you-"
"!"

-to be greeted by the sight of the disgruntled appearance of a man who took the severity of the blow. Within that short time frame, Kram had taken another shot, this time to his right shoulder. On either side of him he stood impaled, still hanging on. The Girl was mortified at the sight of the blood spattering below her feet. She stood in place with visible trembling all over her.

Oh, she looks worried. Then-

"Seriously im fine!" Of course he was lying. Could he really say the truth?
"I've had worst then this before! I didn't know you were this touchy feely, but that's cool. Okay, maybe I did know cause your all pretty n stuff but-"

And then his most grave injury.

Kram just took a splinter straight through his chest.

"Hrrrrk-!" he felt the air in him leave, his grip of the ceiling stepped down a notch along with his stance. The Girl infront of him collapsed to sit down on the ground and now she was crying.

Im gonna die over THIS Girl. I'll admit it's a pretty darn manly way to go out.
But

I'll need to save her first. My goal hasn't been reached as of yet

"HRRRRRRAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!" Kram forcefully pushed the ceiling back up again. With the abuse to his arms and wrist, a dreadfully loud cracking noise came from within. The physical joints in his right arm couldn't take the will to continue being held up- they had snapped disturbingly out of place. Then he felt a cracking throughout the length of his right arm.

OHHHH I FEEL THAT! GOSH THAT HURTS He sucked up the discomfort and toiled whether or not to continue holding the ceiling up with his now broken right arm.

So he turned to the Girl infront him. Kram realized his strength would only do so much for not so much longer.

"LADY!" he screamed as loud as he could, the blood from his chest going up through his throat as he talked due to a certain, gaping chest wound-

"GO! Or we'll both be dead-" he coughed up more blood, and the ceiling had fell down yet another notch. His powerless right arm was seen hanging beside his waist.

"B-But your wounds!" The Girl glanced over his grim looking body. The blood had soaked down through his clothes- it was dripping to the floor in large amounts.

Crap. Im losing too much blood. My head!-

Kram felt too much idiotic irritation.

"..."
"..."
"I'll be fine. Please go!" his voice reassured.

His voice resounded through the screams and crashes throughout the deck. The Girl looked up to his blood stained shirt, and could only show worry. To add on to it, a strong box of sorts hit the back of Kram's head from behind, knocking him off balance. With the way he was awkwardly standing up with his arms, Kram had broken his other left arm: he was now using his head, his shoulder, and his broken left arm to hold up the roof. Kram had long abandoned the thought of using his practically dead right arm. He felt an intense pain- just then he'd nearly passed out. But he refused to stop. He couldn't stop.

So. Lets have a little Kram story time, shall we?
There are moments when one is faced with a very troubling situation.
There are some that stop, and turn the other way. It has nothing to do with me, why must I face it? And so their solution is to run away.
There are some who try to logically think through a conclusion, something meticulous and difficult to put a hold on. And so their solution comes through thought.

Kram was neither of these. Given a test to choose an egg or a chicken, Kram would insist on having both.
He knew he could not put claim too everything. So instead, he grabbed hold of everything infront of him: the egg, and the chicken. Seriously, I don't even...

Well, the point being that:
No logic ran through him.
No clear cowardice got through into him.

Kram was very Kramy-

Facing a situation honestly with nothing but his ill placed....goodwill, his unending idiotic efforts, an unending trial of pure idealism.
a Enduring Soul

Not yet. He whispered to himself. Everyone isn't saved-

"F-Fine! I'll be going right now but-" this lady was no exception.

Everyone...

"I'm all ears. Do hurry-" Kram couldn't help but stop for a moment to catch his breath.

"Whats your name? You know, in case things don't turn out..."  her voice faded.
Yeah. Yeah I know, you don't need to say it.
True, I didn't tell anyone running with me my name. We just sorta ran. Ooops.
Heh, very well! Im a man after all! I will do this much.
He bet on it.

"-Kram" his voice lost power, conviction.
"Kram Niawt" he said gently, smiling with his face that overlooked everything.

"I p-promise!" she looked Kram sternly into the eye as an equal, recognizing him and keeping his name firmly in her head.

Oh this was worth it. She's staring me in the eye so sincerely, Kyah!~ At the least, he was having his healthy delusions to keep him awake. But...
Promise what? He thought. He could guess pretty well what she meant. Something to do with him laying dead. That's probably it.

"Lets head out right now. I t-t-think you've lost alot of blood, and it's taxing on your body so..." and with that, she left. Kram's goal to totally get her name was forgotten.

Ooops. I should've asked for her name aswell. I missed my precisely planned out course of action! But of course, nothing was planned.

Then again, he stood deliriously after that box hit his head, his legs shaking furiously to keep his posture up. He had to agree that his long, endless stamina did have a limit. It was running out.

Ahhh. That's everyone. Good-
I was able to get everyone out-
It's time for me to accompany this beautiful Girl back to-

And finally his heavily arched back gave way to the ceiling.

Knew it wouldn't be that easy. What a shame. That opportune moment of happiness!~ No! Kram cursed at himself that he couldn't hold a measly roof just abit longer.

His upper half made it through outside. Unfortunately, his legs were caught in the rubble- the weight crushing his legs caused more painful, churning cracking.

Kram didn't even notice that both his legs were being broken right now.
He just felt too much too fast to see anything then.

"Oh no-" she looked back towards Kram, who had fallen unconscious.
"Nooooo!-"
Not another lost.
Please. Please no!-
Why!

Her light weeping was heard among the relentless waves.

"...*sniff*"

Out behind the Girl was a small green and blue Pokemon-

It was Kram's cherished Bulby, who ran towards the two of them.

The Girl didn't question the appearance of a random Bulbasaur. The more help to get Kram out of this mess, the better.

"His legs covered by the rubble. What should we d-"

Without any qualm about the situation, Bulby wedged its head straight into the gap where the ceiling was in contact with Kram's legs. The Girl saw the Bulby scream in much the same manner that Kram did. It was clear what it was doing was extremely painful.

"Bouuuu BAAA!" Bulby tried his best to beckon over the Girl to pull up the now less stressful tension trapping Kram's legs. The Girl was pessimistic to how a Bulbasaur could help, no matter how honest she could be she couldn't see it. Of course she took the help with gratitude. She just felt sad that this might not be enough to get her savior out from the debris- It was why she was even more surprised that they actually were able to lift the ceiling up, and whilst being the wedge that was also helping her hold it up, Bulby also used his vines to grab Kram, someone more then thrice his size, out into the deck outside.

Things could've been alot worst for Kram if they hadn't pulled him out.
He'd have died of drowning, eventually.
Course he was asking for it, shamelessly helping others and taking the punishment before they did.

Nonetheless the Girl and Bulby were glad to have him out. The Girl just stared blankly at the Bulbasaur that had just wedged itself without any command with the potentiality to be crushed from above just moments ago. Why would this Pokemon go so far for a stranger? And just where did it get that extremely tough body?

Ahhhhh. Perhaps that's his trainer. What a reliable little friend you got there, Kram. You must be a very personable person from what I can see. A Bulbasaur with the loyalty of a Growlithe, more tenacity then a Mamoswine, more pride then a a crowned Tyrantrum. I think im jealous~

A certain smile settled on her face before she quickly took note of it, and stopped to look where Bulby was, cautiously staring at her, readying his stance. Just for a moment, she let her inner obsession over Pokemon out.

"Oh! Im not gonna do anything bad to him or you, or anything..."

What a ditz. Bulby probably thought.

She talked to the Bulbasaur defeated as Bulby grunted with brimming pride.

"Anyways, lets find something that both of us can tether too. Lets look around for a wooden plank or something since, well..." both of them looked out far into the sea and noticed that all the emergency safety boats were setting off far away from the sinking cruiser.

"Bouba!" as if agreeing as best he could express it, Bulby used the very planks of wood around where Kram was stuck and brought them singlehandedly to the Girl.

"Bouuuu bah!" Bulby faced her for further directions. Just what is this thing She couldn't fathom how Kram's training might've been to get the Bulbasaur to this extent. Well, she'd probably quite surprised to know that it was just Kram throwing Bulby at a Tree SOOOO HARD that it fell down. Bet she wouldn't see that coming.

"Alright. Lets get out of here."

And so the two of them held the unconscious Kram atop a wooden plank, fastened him up, and finally left the terror of staying on a drowning ship.

Looking back, the Girl could only hope that the less fortunate were able to get out.

"Mother-" she carelessly whispered, hoping it would reach that someone who had made it out along with everyone else. That was her hope.

I don't want to loose anyone else- even people I've just met she started at the two around her.

She held back on saying it out loud this time, just in case the unconscious man infront of her was secretly awake or even if Bulby couldn't exactly tell others about it. It was something for herself only, that sort of talk.

They saw the ship completely submerge into the night, it wasn't a very long wait either. Counting themselves lucky, the misfit pair plus an idiotic trainer set a course to the boats trails that were oh so distant.

...

That is where Bulby now stood six hours later, providing a means of tethering with his vines to other victims. A familiar figure slowly swam back towards Bulby and Kram-

The lady whom Kram saved twice, if you think about. Once for that blunt concussion, and second for holding the ceiling painfully long enough for her to get over her totally untimely panic attack infront of a raging storm. Perfectly untimely. She had much to thank for once Kram got significantly better.

"How does it look?" she looked innocently at Bulby wading in the water beside the completely knocked out Kram beside him.

"Bouba..." Bulby simply looked towards Kram and looked dejectedly at his patched up body. It was great that the Girl happened to have a very easy too rip jacket, and thus Kram was wrapped up amateurishly by it's sleeves throughout his body. Kram's skin was becoming a much more warmer color compared to being pale, so at least, he should be doing abit better. Maybe it was too hopeful to think like that just yet. I mean, gosh! He took on all that abuse with a smile! That's not normal! Either way, that makeshift bandage would have to do until they were all found.

"Don't worry. Im sure he'll be fine. After all, he took on all that, and kept standing. He must be strong, right?"

"BOUBA!" Bulby stood attentively as best it could, and a cheeky smirk appeared.

"We'll make it. Keep holding on Mr. Bulbasaur~" The girl motivated the Pokemon with it's master as best she could as she wasn't exactly the tending type. Patting the head of the swimming Bulbasaur, she earnestly hoped that all of them could get back home. Bulby enjoyed his head being patted; the only thing really missing would be Kram feeding him leaves because 'they make him stronger!'.

They swam nonchalantly against the tides to the shoreline waiting for rescue to arrive.

Alright, I think I'm going to throw Sigon into this, too. I'll get started on a post later tonight or tomorrow, but first I'll roll that survival check to see how he does.

Garret
Your Feebas had been doing well, making good progress as it continued to tow the piece of wood with the unconscious Garret on-top of it. The seas had been tough, and though Garret had once fallen off shortly after the sinking of the ship, the Feebas continued to save him time and time again. The sight of an island was near, and the Feebas doubled its efforts.

The person you had saved was unconscious. You can tell he had suffered wounds from the shipwreck, but without a closer inspection you can't tell anything more. He was alive definitely, but was still knocked out.

You had never trained for survival out in the wilds, at least in this type of setting, but you still had enough knowledge and skill, soon enough you gathered enough food for two days including today's, as well as enough water to last the entire day. You had begun to collect wood and materials to create a suitable shelter, and though you had started work, it still wasn't much. You knew however, that it would get you through the night.

Letina
In the distance you see what looked to be some people floating on a piece of the ship. They were far in the distance. You see what looked to be a girl floating on it, waving her hands trying to get the attention of anyone on the shore.

Everyone
The beach was littered with all sorts of debris that you assume to be from the St. Jude. You see some other survivors on the shore, each of them soaked. From the hundreds of passengers on the ship, there were so few left, and you wondered how many of them perished and how many of them actually escaped.

Daniel breathed a sigh of relief as he felt a pulse from the young man. He's alive! Thank goodness...now let's see if I can tend to his wounds at all. Have to make sure nothing gets infected. Well, infected ay further...

Daniel began checking over his body for wounds, realizing that thing were more serious than expected. There was blood everywhere under his coat, so much so that the ranger could feel himself pale at the sight. He needed to do something fast, so he quickly turned to his bag and started digging through it to see what he could use on the poor man. "...Come on, there has to be SOMETHING..."

Burdenking

Oreah continued work on her structure, wanting to have at least a minimal form of shelter before she laid down to rest. As she did this, she called out Soren so he could stretch his legs, and also keep an eye out with his telepathy for anything that would try and sneak up on them. As he popped out of his pokeball, Soren stretched out a bit, before walking off to find a place to sit and rest. While was hurt, Soren knew that he couldn't do much about it, and it would be up to his trainer to save herself. The only thing he could do was make sure nothing came along to make the situation worse.

You treated the person's wounds, and you did your best effort to attempt to patch him up, but he continued to stay still with his shallow breathing. It would take a lot more to bring the man to consciousness. But at least now there was someone there to see to his recovery, rather than being alone out in the seas, or even worse, under it.

Oreah
After further work on your shelter, you were able to patch together something comparable to a tent. You had found the perfect set of leaves to create them, and the tropical island had more than enough wood to serve as the support structures.

Though he'd cleaned the wounds and covered them to the best of his ability, it was obvious that the injuries of the man before him were not going to be recovered in a day. It was obvious that Daniel needed to set up a base of operations first, then he could properly attend to the man and their perilous situation. Now where would a good place be to start building... Daniel thought over this question carefully. He knew he had to get off the beach, since tides were unpredictable, especially in another storm. But he didn't want to get too far from the water. He needed to find a small clearing just above the sand dunes, then create some sort of shelter. However, when he looked up, got realized things would be even easier, Of course! Palms! Natural rain repellant and wide coverage! Good, good. Then I just need to find a sapling...and a sharp rock with a heavy, flat one... His plans for shelter coming together, Daniel made sure that the unconscious made was situated stably before heading out to make camp.

"But first, time to see if Bolt can help." Daniel said, realizing he'd not taken Bolt out due to the situation. He really didn't want to expose him to it, but there was no choice now. "Come on out, Bolt! I could use your help!" He called as he triggered Bolt's pokeball.

Bolt came out with his usual, cheerful smile, but was quickly confused. They were in the middle of nowhere, and certainly in unfamiliar territory. Even the smell of the area was completely different. But the biggest shock was when he looked to Daniel for confirmation; his trainer was hurt, and ragged. Bolt's cheer immediately dropped as he ran up to check on Daniel's wounds. But Daniel had to stop him, as much as he appreciated the thought.

"I'm fine, I'm fine!" Dan said, kneeling and petting his partner to calm him. "But there's another man nearby that isn't so we have to make camp. Once we're safe, I'll tell all about what happened since that storm started brewing on the boat." With those words, Bolt started to calm down, but never completely. Dan completely understood. They'd been in rough spots before, but never like this. It was frightening, there was no doubt about that. "I'm going to be gathering things for shelter now. What I need you to do is use that keen nose of yours to sniff out some food. I know you want some meat, but we probably won't have that chance until later. Get any berries you can find, and I'll pick out whatever's not poisonous. Got it, buddy?" Bolt didn't fully get the words, but Dan had been somewhat motioning what he was saying, so it sunk in. Bolt donned a serious expression. "Good." Daniel said with a smile, then took a spare shirt from his bag and tied it around Bolt's Expert belt like a bag. "Use that to carry what you find, and its smell to track your way back to me. I don't plan on moving, but I don't want you lost, either!" Finally Daniel bent down and gave Bolt a sizable hug. "Thanks, Bolt. I'm glad you're alright." A statement to which he promptly got a lick on the cheek. Shortly after, Bolt wandered off in search of food.

Now on to Daniel's job. First, rocks. He needed a chisel and hammer, so a round rock with a single flat face and a sharp, narrow wedge would be perfect. After that, he'd start cutting thin branches from the brush, and then search for a suitable stump on which to place a larger bough, or a palm sapling if need be. For how wide he needed his shelter's opening, the stump needed to be about 3.5 or 4 feet tall. He had neither to time, nor tools, nor energy to make a stump like this, so he'd either need luck or a different shelter style. He'd rather not use his rope for shelter, though, if he could help it; the rope is better for other uses. Once all this debris is collected, he'd lay branches orthogonal to the larger bough resting on the stump, then cover those with his tent, then palm leaves, then more brush debris.

This style would take the least strength to create, while being very water repellant, and fitting two people. unfortunately, it left him on the ground, but he couldn't be picky. He'd raise the shelter off the ground if given the chance, but food and water were most important after simple shelter. This was basic ranger knowledge, and he had the experience to back it. A bonus was that this specific type of shelter was low to the ground so wind would not effect it was much. By his estimation, it would take him around half the day to make this.

And so the ranger duo was off, roughing it once again. Well, with an additional occupant, whom he'd check back on when possible. But nothing like an added challenge, right? Right?

Daniel could only hope.
Ok, so, plenty of rolls here. For Bolt, stealth to get past any wild pokemon, plus perception for his tracking. Then perception for Daniel. I assume I don't have to roll survival again. Bolt needs a 6 perception to be able to track Dan during his search for food, thanks to the scrap of cloth.

Oh, and I'm imagining I'll need survival for trying to fish later, so I'll ask now. Do I use my already rolled survival to catch stuff like small rockfish (not pokemon, they DO exist in this world). Or should I roll a new one when I post about it?
