Bio 
Sebastian "Seth" Pendergast was born to Theodora and William Pendergast with a rare disease leaving him forever to live in a wheelchair. He lived a happy life with his family in their estate. However, they died rather suddenly in a car accident where Seth was the only survivor. He was pulled from the wreckage by a passing woman who saved his life through the use of magic thus becoming his patron or teacher in a seedy underworld of magic that exists in the shadows. However due to her notorious obsession with freedom and not being tied down she left her new disciple to virtually defend for himself with his new found abilities. This however has been both a blessing and a curse because even though he is not well trained it has kept him off the radar of the higher ups in the magic community. She has kept a constant eye on him through her travels however thru a number of means. This ensured that he would have enough control to not be a menace.
The person charged with his everyday care and protection is Seth's familiar and butler Leon Schrodinger. Born from Seth's subconscious he has a direct link to his master being able to know where he is at all times as well as a strong empathic link. He appeared upon Seth waking up from the incident a few weeks later and suffering from complete amnesia of what had happened. Seth is still completely unaware six months later of his butler's true identity or purpose. Leon also as the most direct means for Seth's master to deliver materials and teachings without tipping off his master.  Leon also has his own set of skills and magicks, which he uses to support seth from the shadows. As familiars go he has an unprecedented amount of freedom due to the manner in which he was created.
Of those who remain in the Pendergast family want little to do with Seth. Seeing him as a burden they collectively decided to place him and his mysterious caregiver in the most out of the way place they had while they ran his estate and fortune. Now living in a completely rundown and ruined home that had rumors of being haunted they go through daily life.  Magic itself has become a part of that routine as they both come to terms in their own ways. The biggest change for Seth is the ways that magic gives him a new freedom. Through a relatively beginner manipulation of internal energy Seth was able to enhance his physical body allowing him to leave his wheelchair. This spell also allows him to have enhanced strength flexibility and defense from attack as well as low-level flight. However when his stamina runs out he is left without any means of defense.
The sign of Seth's power is a tattoo that appeared across his back upon his inner gate being opened and represents his personality. Although it is extremely small now it seems to be growing larger and more intricate as time passes.
He began using his power for others when he was at the museum during a heist. The crocks were using magic to hold hostages and steal artifacts. He had used what few spells he knew to catch them by surprise and keep his identity hidden.
After that event he patrolled the city as one of the newest heroes Sigil.

Family History
The Pendergast family are the founder's and owners of the Pendergast investment group and think tank group. Using their extreme wealth the have built an organization based around funding and providing inventors and projects which peek their interests. Be it Science or the arts the organization has gained a world renowned representation for finding and grooming people with talent. The Garnet Building the main Head Quarters is a maze of spaces used as a command center, warehouse and empty spaces to be used as places for those who have been found. The organization itself is controlled upon Seth's parents death by the board of trustees which is a group of his family members who deal with the daily running of the business. the seven members of his family in control are: His Grandmother Evelyn- Chairwoman, Uncle Barrett, Aunt Himiko, Cousin Richard, Aunt Alexandra, Uncle William Cousin Rose. The family itself is most concerned with maintaining the Pendergast name  and following the family motto of "Creativity and Innovation" over all. Of all of the family and extended family it is his grandmother who cares for Seth most and behind closed doors is both doting and sweet but in public she is by far the most cold and calculating, Her craftiness had gained her the title of "Iron maiden" for her troubles.

Powers:
Main: Shadow manipulation/ Construction
       -able to manipulate shadows creating weapons and waves of shadows to overwhelm opponents. Due to magi background he can also manipulate a person's shadow to control the person all though it only works physically and can be over powered if distracted or the opponent is too strong. He also has the capabilities of creating a series of weapons made up of shadows using them as normal tools. At the moment he can only manifest two weapons without over exertion,  claw like blades around his hands, and a single hand pistol although he can only do one at any given time.

Secondary: Shadow Cloak
He can forms a cloak of shadows that he can use to enshroud himself and others in a clock of shadows making a extremely stong armour resistant to mos physical attacks.
                  Shadow space
Shadow space is an alternate dimension of shadows which he can access and use for near instant transit by moving through shadows. it also allows him to take the place of anyone's shadows and remain hidden. He can also pull people along with him into this closed space but it can only lass at 30 minutes at the longest

The ultimate in loyal butler and ladies man Leon is the hidden blade that Support Seth in everything he does.

Background/personality
The daughter of a powerful Miko and a world-renowned warlock Iris was a magical savant from the moment of her birth and would have skill in any attempts at magic. The problem was that her parents had eloped and once the two families caught them they were exiled and she was taken into their care as an infant. Groomed in a temple compound till near adulthood she was unable to see very little of the outside world. She was meant to be a tool to be used by the families to cement the families' powers within the magical underworld. They did not account for the strong and devious side the girl developed. Becoming obsessed with gaining her own freedom from her gilded cage, she learned and developed a number of rare magics. She escaped during one of the larger ceremonies where all the major heads of the underworld had gathered avoiding or disabling their forces with a sheer show of power and skill. This is disgrace made her target number one on the underworlds hit list and also made her a free agent that made every group want to capture her to harnesses her power.
She now lives her life on her own beat only listening to her own whims, as she travels the world over and over avoiding her perpetual pursuers, and looking for things that catch her interest. As a wanderer she has made a number of friends from many different walks of life and gained a great liking of alcohol. She has lived for many years using similar techniques to extend her life as most master class mages do. In this time she has seen powerful groups like her own lineage come and fall to the wayside.  She also enjoys being a pain in the side of the magical organizations. She adopted Seth as an apprentice when she found him in the middle of a conflict between two supers. His aura had reached out calling her to his aid, memories of her own past spurring her into unlikely action. After saving his life she felt an obligation to make sure that he kept living. In many ways the two are extremely similar and that it what allowed her to develop feeling's for him.  Iris personality revolves around her militant obsession of her own freedom. She in that way has become a very removed person in many ways from the rest of the world and will rarely have any form of direct confrontation.  The moment where the few things she cares about in the world are threatened however she is like a deadly storm.

Arcane Energy Manipulation
Hero can alter magic energies to create or destroy. Heroes with this ability are also considered to be "spell wielders" having the capability to manipulate magic's for themselves and eventually others.

Base Level 1 Spells:

Flare:

Blinding light can be cast from the casters hands to blind or frightened enemies. Enemies who do not save vs blindness, will be unable to attack for that round.

Flame:

Flames erupt from the casters hands burning enemies who are within it's short 5ft range. This can be cast multiple times.

Bolt:

Magic energies are directed into a focused blast that deals ballistic & arcane damage to any enemies struck by it.

Falcon Cry:

Buffs entire party to increase dexterity and perception for one melee round.

Link:

Creates a mental link between the caster and it's target, hero, villain or neutral. The link allows the caster to transfers thoughts to its linked target, and receive any surface thoughts in turn.

Mend Wounds:

The caster can create a type of arcane bandage that can stop bleeding or splint a broken bone. The bandage will remain until the caster releases it.

Chill:

The caster can cause the temperature in an area to grow increasingly colder. In some instances this can act as a slow spell against certain creatures intolerant of cold.

Shift:

The caster appears to be moving at a hyper rate of speed, but is in fact standing still. All attacks will miss for the next 2 rounds, but the caster is unable to cast any other spells during the duration of the shift.


Arcane Summons:

Light:

Summons a floating orb of light that acts as a type of magical torch until unsummoned.

Shadow:

Summons a shadow being that can act as defender or attacker, shadows level increases with hero's level.
- Shadow Smith: Caster can use the power of the shadows to create arcane items of pure shadow.
- Shadow Travel: the casters is able to enter a shadow and exit from another shadow within 100ft.

Lightstaff:

Summons a magical staff that effectively deals arcane and blunt damage, once summoned the staff will endow the summoner or the one the blade is given to with the ability to wield the staff at a novice level.

Shadowblade:

Summons a magical blade that can draw energy from machines and other technology. Functions alternately as a slashing and arcane weapon. Once summoned the blade will endow the summoner or the one the blade is given to with the ability to wield the staff at a novice level.

Healing Wing:

Summons a magical being with the power to heal or protect the party in combat. The being is considered to be pure arcane energy thus it cannot be harmed by normal means. This summon drains a significant amount of energy from the caster, thus the caster will need to be out of harms way and able to fall into a deep trance.

Rage Heart:

The caster summons a being of pure rage from the arcane dimensions, the creature does not actually enter this dimension as it uses the host as a conduit for its rage. When under the influence of rage the caster is a melee powerhouse, however he is unable to tell friend from foe as the rage blinds him to this distinction. The rage can only last for 2 combat rounds as the toll it takes on the caster is great. !CAUTION! As soon as the rage summon ends the caster will collapse from exhaustion, there is a slight chance (1%) that the Rage Heart will continue to use the casters body even while unconscious, at this point it WILL attack everything and anyone until stopped.

Limitations:
Spells are quickfire abilities that can be used in any situation with relative ease. Summons (except the light summon) are a different matter all together, they require more time and require the casters concentration to maintain. If the caster is incapacitated in any way the summon will immediately vanish back into the arcane realms. Magic energies must be balanced or the universe will issue some serious payback.

Learning:
A caster can use any spells currently listed in their spell book, to learn more powerful spells one must seek out a master or delve into the arcane through experimentation. Base spells can be combined to form other interesting spells, you can only learn through experimentation what those results will be.
