Taiga after hearing the screams taps Yuki on the shoulder giving a glance towards the figures in the distance. "The fog makes telling intent difficult but we may be surrounded by the time we leave be ready," he whispered

Sotu crept along with the rest of the group, but stuck especially close to Mimsy in case something sprung out to attack them.

With Jars and Yuki leading the way, they rounded to the corner side of the building quickly, meaning to make their way around to the back. Soon enough Taiga, Mimsy, and Sotu followed after as well. Where Yuki, Jars, and Sotu were relatively quiet, whether it was from nerves or simple need to rush, Taiga had accidently kicked a stone, making it rattle against some cracked window pane glass, while Mimsy yelped at the sudden sound.

There was an inhuman howl again, this time is sounded much closer, and with that, the group rushed towards the back where the voice from earlier called them in. His voice was coming from the entrance to a cellar. The thick heavy wooden doors that lead to the basement floor were already wide open.

"Hurry! Hurry! Don't make a sound!" He whispered fiercely as he beckoned the group in. The man was fairly tall with a heavy build, from his looks he was perhaps in his late forties, with his graying hair showing his age, along with sporting a short trimmed beard and mustache.

Once everyone was in, he quickly started to drop down the heavy wooden doors, though you noted that he attempted to do so as quietly as possible. With that done, he placed an index finger to his lips in a shushing motion.

[info]Yuki's Perception: 13
You hear the sounds of what sound like a stampede, though couldn't really tell what direction they were going.[/info]

[info]Mimsy and Sotu's Perception: 15  & 19
You can clearly tell that the noise of the stampede were headed towards the building.[/info]

[info]Taiga's: 25
You heard the barely audible sound of howling from the basement. Your ears managed to pick up moaning sounds from outside as the bearded man's breathing became tense. The amount of footsteps you heard, told you there was a sizable crowd out there at the very least.[/info]

[info]State some actions, if you're planning to just be silent and still, that works too. I'll post next once I get an account of actions from each character.[/info]

Yuki didn't say anything as she slowly stepped away from the door, trying to position herself further into the cellar while keeping an ear on the stampeding outside.

Taiga moves to brace the door silently just in case the hoard does decide to try and find where they were hiding.

The hume bunny stayed quiet, though her own nerves were getting to her. Taking her younger sister's lead, she too, drew her own weapon with eyes towards the cellar door.

It was as silent as it could be, save for the sound of beating heartbeats, shallow breathing, and then the more ominous thumping of footsteps and howling that only grew louder and louder in volume as the seconds ticked by. Time felt as if it crawled to a slow, as each second felt like an eternity. The older man in the building began to slightly tremble as beads of cold sweat rolled down his brow. Everyone's eyes and attention were trained on the cellar entrance, a thick heavy set of doors that were angled in such a way for it to lead downwards. Taiga was there at the entrance of course, holding down the cellar doors just in case it was needed. Though it was already bolted from the inside, it was a precaution that perhaps gave a bit more sense of security. However, that did little to help ease the tense atmosphere that was almost like a thick miasma around the group.

Moments after that the sounds of footsteps and stampeding stopped. The sudden cessation of sound was all too clear.

Then everyone heard it. A scraping sound. With how quiet everyone was being, the sound stood in sharp contrast to the stillness. It sounded like something sharp was being stabbed into the cellar door. A claw that was slowly being dragged downwards, scratching the door's surface, but not really damaging it.

Soon enough the scraping stopped, and it was then that the man beckoned everyone deeper into the cellar. There was a closed off room as part of the cellar, and he beckoned everyone in. The room looked like it would add another layer from you and whatever it was that was outside, and might be safer to talk in.
