Personal Information

Appearance
Eydis has dark tan skin, long, platinum hair that's been left loose to hang down to the small of her back. Her hazel eyes that seem to always stare sternly, yet still gleaming questioningly. Her form is lithe, and she generally seems a little on the weaker side, which would not be expected of her considering the callouses built up in her hands that tell of constant manual labor. Her attire for adventuring and travel usually consists of a form-fitting top, a short skirt or shorts, and thigh-high boots/stockings. This outfit is usually paired with a hooded cloak.

Personality
Eydis is stern and brusque by default, mannerisms she picked up from her adoptive father around the smithy; in general, she's the type that just wants to get down to business with as little banter as possible. But despite this terse demeanor, she's nothing but kind and caring, a trait that only grew more as she cared for orphans in the New Beginnings Orphanage. However, caring for children did not help her temper, and childish antics would often bring this matron into a frustrated state where her dwarven upbringing would make an appearance. Otherwise, she keeps her dialect well hidden, mostly to avoid the strange gazes strangers give her when she speaks like a dwarf.

Biography
Edyis was an orphan herself as a child, and was taken in by a dwarven family following a tragedy involving her birth-kin. Through her new family, she grew to have a love for blacksmithing, along with the origins and tall tales surrounding it. Her childhood passion led to her becoming very studious and hardworking about all aspects of it, soon developing a self-taught magic system that combined the enchanting runes used by smiths with her own innate magic from her dark elf heritage. Upon reaching 20 years of age, Eydis learned of her past from her father, and set out to the nearby village of Nortia, hoping to learn more as well as try to give back to the world. The once-orphaned child planned to pay it forward, seeking employment at the local orphanage, and starting as an apprentice before earning her position as a Matron a couple years later. She eventually built a forge on site, and took over the task of general repairs in the orphanage. This ended up becoming her 'study' in a sense, as it allowed her to maintain her magic and smithing abilities when she wasn't helping to manage the children.

Now, decades later, she's ended up a part of Goddess Thalia's familia. And seeing multiple former orphans planning to head off into the wilderness to make a new home for the goddess in Orario, she could not help but follow along to ensure their safety. Though, most of all, it was to ensure that her former charges would not get into any major trouble on the roads due to their own mischief.

Ideals

Exploring dungeons in hopes of unearthing grand historical knowledge and artifacts, so she has tales to tell back home. And also to gain more understanding in her own crafting efforts.
Bonds

As a former sister/caretaker at the New Beginnings Orphanage, she's familiar with anyone that was in that orphanage for the past 2 decades. The most relevant of these is Taiga, who she considers a little brother. Otherwise, she herself is an adopted orphan raise by dwarves in the mountains near Nortia, and gets along generally well with them all.
Flaws

She is fixated on history, and all subjects of smithing that she grew up around, to the point of being a sort of maniac. This leads to some very awkward social circumstances when she is confronted with relics and the like.
