As the arena opened up, you see some sort of kitty 115 ft. away.

Roll for initiative! (And perform)

Maeve eyed the cat. She did not like the idea of attacking a fellow feline. As such, she could not justify attacking it first. If it attacked her, she would defend herself. If it took note of her feline identity and did not attack, perhaps she could claim victory by "taming" it. Thus, Maeve took to a defensive stance and called out to the cat. "Erehgrar, ittykger ittykger! Verythingrrr illwgrar be kayogrr!"

It was still a fair distance away. Your calls to it did not have any affect as the cat continued its way forward, closing the gap.

Maeve continues her defensive stance. As the cat did not respond to her calls, she would have to think of other ways to tame it. Many cats liked chin scratches. It was about fifty-fifty whether they would accept an ear rub or scratch from a stranger, but it was easier to do than chin scratching since it kept her hands away from its jaws. Thus, she would wait for it to get closer, then attempt to catch it from above and pin it down to attempt first ear scratching and then chin scratching. If that didn't work, then she would have to give in and actually battle it.[/color]

Your attempt to pacify the cat did little, and it proceeded to attempt to attack you as it pounced. However, you easily got out of the way.

"I see. If that is how you wish to play, then so be it." Maeve muttered under her breath after rolling out of the way of the cat's pounce. "Two can play at this."
