As your kukri went down, the opponent dropped down as well, going to a low crouch as he narrowly evaded the first strike. As the rapier came piercing into his way, he brought up his dagger to slightly skew the attack which enabled him to then roll out of the way. As he came back up, he attempted to stab you with his blade, buy you saw the attack coming and got out of the way.

Vladimir once again chops downward with his kukri, aiming for his foe's forearm. While that attack pushes away the creature's guard, the methuselan quickly positions his rapier and attempts a quick swipe across its now-exposed throat.

You brought down your weapon, and the kukri sliced the combatants arm clean off. It seemed to flinch from the pain as a pouring of blood came gushing out. To his credit, he managed to avoid the oncoming rapier, but even as he clenched his own weapon preparing himself to launch into another attack, the loss of blood was too much, and he eventually collapsed.

A flash of light soon exploded, taking both its body, as well as the severed limb out of the arena.

An hour later, the arena opened up again, this time as the dust settled you see 115 ft. away a mound of something green. It looked like some sort of green slime, and you can clearly see the creature pulsating and dripping. It seemed to be agitated as its slime continued to reach forth in successive bursts like spasms.

At first, Vladimir made a confident, parading entrance into the stadium. He'd fared well thus far, and at this point, was not afraid to let the crowd know he was eager for more. That was before he saw his opponent.

Vladimir looked at the glob of...stuff across from him. He'd had a run in with similar creatures before when he used to call the sewers home. And he learned quickly that going into melee with them was not a good idea.

He spun around in a deft motion, drawing his longbow from behind him, and nocked an arrow in preparation for battle. This was one of his least favorite kinds of foes.

The crowd cheered as you entered, though they weren't as enthusiastic as you would have liked. As you saw the enemy in front of you, you had begun drawing your bow from your back, the creature too, noticing you presence, was just about to sprint towards you.

Vladimir sees that the glob of slime noticed his presence. He wasn't even certain it would be harmed by arrows effectively. But there was no way he would get near it if he could help it. He drew the nocked arrow back in his bow, an action that took all his strength due to its design, then loosed his first shot.

Vladimir grimaces at the the ooze's burst of speed. "Too fast!" In a split second decision, Vladimir drops his bow and quickly draws his blades, countering the slime's advance with two quick strikes of his own.
