[IC] Kin's Fan Club vs Lyolf's Legion

[Lance]

The cheers were loud and the excitement was at an all-time high. Thus, with people so invested in their own actions, there were few that noticed one certain innocuous elf moving off to the side and whispering something to the nearby orc's ear. By the time the commotion finally died down (relatively speaking) and the contestants had all finished with their introductions, The elf's smile was still as flagrant as ever as he charged forward, eager to make the first move in the encounter.

Lyolf only made it about half-way across the stadium, however...

"Now as much as it pains me to harm a fellow magi," a familiar voice echoed out from among KFC's number, surprising some and causing no few pairs of eyes to turn in alarm. "It's clear you don't want to be here anyway." the voice continued and Lyolf appeared directly at Katria's unguarded back.

Lyolf expends 1 ki point as a swift action to activate Murderous Insight for 4 rounds. Then, he moves forward 30 ft as a move action before activating Fading Strike as a standard action to land 5 ft north of Katrias to attack her while she's still unprepared.

Murderous Insight (Su) The stalker designates his combat senses towards ending the lives of his opponents and gains momentary flashes of insight in how to best accomplish this. By spending one point of ki as a swift action, the stalker makes an attack and rolls twice for that attack and uses the better of the two results due to the stalker's precognitive abilities. This art has a duration of 1 + the stalker's Wisdom modifier in rounds.

The disciple learns the basic technique at this level for walking between worlds to reach locations that previously could be inaccessible by the mortal world and potentially attack foes at those locales. As a standard action, the initiator may either teleport to a location no farther away than his maximum movement speed, and make an attack action against an opponent as part of the same standard action, or attack an adjacent target and then teleport to a location no farther away than his maximum movement speed. The teleportation destination must be clearly seen by the disciple to teleport to that location, and it must be unoccupied.

Kin grimaced as Lyolf appeared behind Katrias, but that expression turned to a devilish grin. In a low growl of a voice, Kin confronted his roommate. "Lyolf...after all that talk of dueling, you instead attack a young girl. You'd dare to pay me no heed when I'm riGHT IN FRONT OF YOU!?" Kin was quick to madness as usual this tournament, and quickly took off. He leaped through the air with a sudden, forceful lunge, with speed equivalent to if he'd had a good running start. Within a couple second he was already behind the mage, strategically placing himself in a flanking position with Katrias.

He didn't spare a moment, his figure in entirety a blur as his blade whipped forward and crackled through the air, slashing furiously across the man before him, in a manner that caught everyone, let alone Lyolf, off guard.

or rather, Zultar charged the young girl next to him; Katrias. He probably figured it'd piss off Kin more than attacking him directly. Besides, Zultar had to admit the skill disparity between him and that devilish he-rogue.

Rushing headlong into the fight, and pumping all your strength into your next attack as well as fueled by your intense rage for meat, you pierced your weapon right into Katrias' exposed chest. The sword cut right through as the wizard stared in shock. A moment later the teleportation badge had activated and within moments the young arcanist was off the field.

"Did you see that?" The first announcer said. "Did you see that?" He continued as his voice became more urgent.

"That's our first competitor down! Now how will Kin's Fan Club handle the situation with one of their members out already?"

The sudden display had the crowd roaring.

The stinging attack aimed straight for Roxanne's face, the whip striking hard as the lashing snap was heard keenly and sharply. The echo was enough for even though up in the audience could hear, and they burst in a loud a cheer.

Roxy didn't blink. The whip stung deep into her past. She hasn't forgotten. How could she?

A million tiny voices in her head cried out as memories were dredged out of the darkness. Each one tore each other apart. Fear, rage, delirium and pure lucidity filtered through her conscience in a snap. For one infinitesimal second, she was that small, scared test subject. Eleven gold coins scattered about her mental self, and the shadows danced again. She shook her head. Not today, mister nightmare! Come back tomorrow, we're closed. She tightened her grip on her scythe and looked up, the brand on her kidney glowed faintly, magic beginning to channel through her body as her eyes sparkled with an otherworldly glow. Her stomach growled, and a malicious grin streaked across her face.

"BLOOP. SMASH HIM~!"

Her allosaurus friend roared in agreement, and stomped towards Markus. Then he started lashing out with a million teeth.

Roxy dashes to the side, so Markus was between her and Zultar, then began bashing the ground with her scythe in a childish rendition of a classic summoning ritual, calling forth more friends to join the feast. She raises her scythe in the air, cawing in druidic and hopping about on one foot as she tries to summon a trio of eagles.
