You touch the ball to the Slowpoke and the red glow envelopes it. Once the glow dissipates, the ball rocks a little, then stops.

The Slowpoke slumbered happily until it suddenly felt a tingling sensation all over its body. It opened its eyes to see a red glow enveloping it. Startled and unsure of what was going on, it tried to move away. Suddenly, it found itself inside of... something. After looking around a bit, it shrugged to itself and went back to sleep.
