[IC] Dreamnya Teamnya vs Scar

"Here we are folks! The first match of our tournament. We have the monster team called Scar! Apparently it took our hunters quite awhile to capture these beasts, but there we have it! A lion with its two hyena sidekicks! The deaths will be astounding!" The announcer spoke outloud into the loudspeaker as cries from the audience crescendoed into a roar. The two announcers stood high above to the side, visible to both the audience and the participants.

"And on the other side we have- Oh! Look at their ears! It's soooo cute!" The other announcer responded, a lady dressed in what looked to be a ball-room gown. "They're called the Dreamnya Teamnya, and don't let their looks fool you folks, they're fully fledged guild members are packing a punch!"

"Let the deaths begin!"

"No no no, and stop saying that will you! Remember to keep the badges we have given each of you on your person at all times! We'll teleport you out of there if things start looking bad."

As the announcer finished, the arena before you started warping and changing, and before you knew it the floor had become an almost glossy and sparkling look.

"It looks like this round will be ought in the rainbow arena. Lets see how both groups handle this!"

The lion as well as the two hyenas, after momentarily confused at their surroundings, started charging at the group...

• There is a transition phase lasting 1 round in between each arena change. Use this time to prepare for the next change!
  
• Rules for each new arena are provided upon the change.

"On'tdya ustjan tandsnyu heretan!"

The young boy, still somewhat dazed from the sudden change of the arena moved infront of the two others who looked as if they were still taking in the new sights and smells. Nyuko gripped his fists tight and hard. Lions were no easy prey, and though there were like their own cousins, these particular lions didn't seem to be in any friendly mood. He had to protect his sister no matter what! And prove to Beowulf that even a young cat boy has what it takes to be a man. Growling as he zoomed past them, Nyuko brandished a chakram to each of his hands. In one fluid motion he threw the weapons towards the hyena in front of him, hoping that the deadly blades would severely wound the creature.

[spoiler]Using 3 karma for an additional standard action. I'll resolve the karma myself.

Move: Move 20 ft up.
Standard: Attack with chakram.

Nyaoko?s tail flickered, her ears perked as they entered the sparkling arena. The place was beautiful ? Almost distracting. The opponents before them, however, weren?t quite as appealing to the eye.  First was a large lion, adorned with an unfortunate scar?Before him stood a couple of homely hyenas. The hyenas would likely have to be taken care of first.

"On'tdya ustjan tandsnyu heretan!"

Nyaoko smirked. Her brother?s determination was always so adorable! Readying her chakrams, Nyaoko decided to take similar actions to her brother ? Moving in closer, she immediately began to attack.

Beowulf slowly looked around the room, inspecting everything. He then watches as the Nekomimi rush towards the hyenas. Beowulf quickly turned his attention toward the Lion with the noticeable scar. As his open hands turned into fists, eyes glaring toward the Lion, Beowulf slowly reached for his crossbow on his back before getting down on one knee. He then loaded a bolt into the crossbow and began aiming down his target before attacking.

A soft whistling was all the warning the Hyena's had. Two chakram's appeared in one hyena so quickly they almost appeared to have materialized there. One lodged in the right hind leg of the animal, the other had found purchase in-between the animals shoulder joint and its neck.

The other hyena had only a moment to hear its companion's whine of pain before it too was struck with one of the dreadful weapons, this one imbedding itself in the creature's throat. It was dead before it skidded to a halt. However this weapon DID materialize, back into Nyaoko's hands.

The first hyena was struck by mighty blows, but it was not out of the fight yet. Although it preferred to attack from behind, much safer that way, the creature was severely injured and it knew it must end this quickly to lick its wounds. The hyena charged forward, closing the distance to Nyuko and leaping for his throat.

A twinge in its wounded back leg spoiled the leap and the hyena's snapping jaws closed to the left of Nyuko's left ear. The hyena's body followed its head and buffeted off Nyuko's Mithral chainmail, the nekomimi hardly feeling the impact and the hyena falling backwards to land in front of him.

[spoiler]Beowulf, Please roll two more D8 to calculate critical damage. The round has not ended until the Lion has made its move, so players must wait to post until then.[/spoiler]

A bolt sped through the air, imbedding itself in Scar's side as he ran, slipping through the ribs to puncture a lung. Undaunted, Scar roared in fury, leaping over the body of the downed hyena, charging forward, seeking those who would dare to strike him.

Locking his eyes on the enemy directly ahead, he charged forward and pounced onto Nyuko. Claws sliced at his chest and teeth clamped on his arm, but his mithral armor held up, absorbing the shock and protecting Nyuko from damage. However, as Scar raked his sharpened back claws down Nyoko's lefts, one of the claws slipped around the edge of his protection, gauging him lightly.

[spoiler]The lion makes a charge attack at Nyuko, and due to the lion's Pounce ability, is able to make a Full Attack. Both Claw  attacks, the Bite attack, and one of the Rake attacks miss. Nyuko suffers 3 damage from the other rake attack.[/spoiler]

[spoiler]End of the Round. New round begins. Arena changes to Fire Arena. Safe zone from F7 to C4 in 4x4 block. Nyuko, Nyaoko, and Beowulf each take fire damage. Nyuko takes 3 fire damage. Nyaoko takes 1 fire damage. Beowulf takes 4 fire damage.[/spoiler]

As the ground rumbles and the lay of the arena changes, Scar and the hyena are busy trying to keep their footing.

However as soon as the rumbling stops, the lion continued its assault against Nyuko, scoring two more hits with its claws, one across Nyoko's left arm, the other leaving long red streaks down his right cheek.

Meanwhile the remaining hyena closes in on Beowulf. It's jaws closing around his right leg, it gives a jerk, pulling the leg out from under him and sending him flat on his back.

[spoiler]Hyena does 6 damage to Beowulf and uses its Trip ability to send Beowulf to a prone position. The lion performs a full attack on Nyuko, missing with its bite attacks, but scoring two hits with its claw attacks totalling 17 damage.

Prone

The character is on the ground. An attacker who is prone has a ?4 penalty on melee attack rolls and cannot use a ranged weapon (except for a crossbow). A defender who is prone gains a +4 bonus to Armor Class against ranged attacks, but takes a ?4 penalty to AC against melee attacks.
Standing up is a move-equivalent action that provokes an attack of opportunity.

[Nyuko Nyun]

The lion came fast and hard. Nyuko was just able to dodge the first round of attacks. The large beast towering above him, it's fangs barred. Nyuko had begun to place his claws up, defensively in between him and the lion's gaping maw. Then all of a sudden the arena started to shake and shift. It didn't take long, only a few moments, but it was enough to startle the nekomimi. It was also enough for the lion to make its attack.

The large creature lunged towards him, it's fangs leading the way. But Nyuko was able to deftly dodge it. It was at this moment the fires from the now-changed arena blasted right under his feet. Nyuko yelped in pain, but it was just enough of a distraction that the lion needed. Within moments, Nyuko had found the lion's claws raking across his chest, tearing a large gash in his armor. Blood poured forth. Nyuko's vision blanked. Before the young catboy could register what had happened, he was falling.

Falling down to the burning flames of the Fire Arena.

There was little time to react as their foe came charging in like a bulldozer. It took no time for the beast to take down her brother ? On top of that, Beowulf had been brought to the ground.  AND, as if things couldn't any worse, the entire arena had shifted beneath them. 

The ground had gone from mesmerizing to very, very hot.

Nyaoko?s ears lay low as she goes straight for Scar, bringing her scythe forth. Griping the weapon with both hands, she swung with full force.
